“Best little BBQ spot in Lockhart. Got a pound of every meat, a pint of every side and both desserts. Wow! The burnt ends were heavenly and the brisket just melted in the mouth. The sausage had a nicely melted cheese and jalapenos inside. It was amazing with the mustard based BBQ sauce. I wish they were serving their beef ribs. Will have to try that next time.“
“Good Friday, and we had a fantastic meal. I had the all-you-can-eat catfish, and the boss had the chopped brisket sandwich. Both were really good. The owner came by a couple of times to make sure we were good.If you are in Lockhart, TX, stop by, and you won't be disappointed.“
“Black's Barbeque in Lockhart is a must-visit for anyone in the area. I had the pleasure of meeting Kent Black, the 3rd generation pit master, and he was incredibly welcoming and sweet. He took the time to show me family photos and even a cool George Foreman group photo. The food at Black's Barbeque was outstanding. The meats were cooked to perfection and the flavors were delicious. I highly recommend trying their brisket and ribs, as they were some of the best I've ever had.Overall, my experience at Black's Barbeque was fantastic. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was welcoming, and Kent Black was a wonderful host. I will definitely be returning and I encourage everyone to visit this gem in Lockhart.Parking: Parking in front and to the sidesKid-friendliness: Hi chairs for childrenWheelchair accessibility: There is an accessable low incline ramp to the main dining room“
“Another Lockhart gem that we will be returning to, over and over!Everything we tried so far has been great….the baker with chicken is my favorite so far, and surprisingly, the fish was fantastic. Great sides…love the macaroni and cheese and the okra!!!The staff is very friendly and enthusiastic about the customer having a good experience.“
“Took a friend from out of town there for some great central texas bbq, waiting in line for Franklin maybe an experience, but so is ordering in the smoked filled pit room, and walking around the Lockhart town square after a big meal, everything is great, but try the beef shoulder if you want something different“
“What can't I say about this place. Down home hospitality along with delicious BBQ is a 10 out of 10 every time! From the brisket to the sausage and ribs, I can't say enough. The sweet tea definitely deserves its own mention as it is true, sweet tea. Bring your wallet with as it's gotten quite expensive, but it's worth it.“
“Everyone is always so friendly here. The food is excellent and not over priced like most Bbq joints. The sausage is a true example of old fashioned Texas/Lockhart Bbq. The brisket has a good bark and is seasoned just right. The ribs are tender and you can taste the black pepper. Just like it should be. I definitely plan on making Maxwell Barbecue Co a weekly stop.“
“Introduced my friends here during their visit for the eclipse and they absolutely loved it. Team behind the serving line and cashier station were awesome as well. Lisa and 2 other gentlemen took care of us. This is now my go to spot to showcase the Texan BBQ experience.Looking forward to stopping by again!“
