“Best little BBQ spot in Lockhart. Got a pound of every meat, a pint of every side and both desserts. Wow! The burnt ends were heavenly and the brisket just melted in the mouth. The sausage had a nicely melted cheese and jalapenos inside. It was amazing with the mustard based BBQ sauce. I wish they were serving their beef ribs. Will have to try that next time.”
“In town to do some errands, wanted something besides bbq. Notice the high rating and the reviews, the reviews don't lie. First time, the menu offers so many choices. The server was fantastic, explained the menu perfectly, I was torn between getting something savory or sweet. While you wait, you could get free samples of pickled vegetables. After much going back and forth, I got the Market Street Hash with a side order of sausage. It was soooo good, the hash was filled with fresh veggies, I got the sunny side egg which gives it a yummy creaminess from the egg yolk. The sausage was tasty, homemade as was the Texas toast. It was a big serving. My partner got the avocado toast, it was made with the homemade bread, she made the mistake of eating this morning. We got dessert to go which was delicious, cream cheese chocolate mousse cupcake and the key lime pie bar. We told all bakery goods were made by the owner's wife. The cafe was clean and organized. We will definitely going back, still have many options to choose from.”
“I pity the fool that don’t like Best Little! They have wine by the glass AND by the bottle, beer and NA options, the best patio in Lockhart, poke bowls, Kaye Gwyn and Mel, Chicken Hawkins and his constant side eye, 2 bunnies, a cute pink door for your instagramming needs, Joe Carter Smooth Blues on Wednesdays, all kinds of other theme nights and the by far the most excellent Oktoberfest in town. They have southern hospitality out the wazoo. They support other local businesses. They stay involved in the community. They raise funds for non-profits. And frankly, a glass of wine on the patio and petting Chicken is worth 5 stars on its own. 12 out of 10 if you know what’s good for you! ?”
“WELL, BUTTER MY BISCUIT!!! HENRY'S EGG-ACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO START MY DAY!!! (Lockhart Breakfast!!! God Bless Texs!)We (The Villain aka Ray & I), had a hankering for a hearty breakfast! We wanted to start our day off better than yesterday's start! (He doesn't act right when he's hungry! Truthfully, I don't either)I looked up a "Lockhart breakfasts", and found Henry's with great ratings, reviews and they served breakfast all day!Ray aka TV (The Villain) ordered the Meat Lovers Breakfast (see photo) and side of Homemade Biscuits & Gravy! I ordered The Homestyle Breakfast (ONLY $7.29!). The Biscuits are to DIE for! Lite Fluffy Buttermilk biscuits, clearly made from scratch! Bacon was thick and perfectly cooked, home fries and eggs were perfectly cooked the only way, I enjoy them. I took a bite of the biscuits and gravy and about jumped out of my chair, it was sooo good!!!! Gravy made from scratch using sausage drippings and tons of sausage! TV's breakfast looked good, (I didn't ask for a bite, I was too busy eating like I had a slit throat!). He demolished his meal (I ain't lying, I demolished mine too!)Our server Shannah (not sure how she spells her name), was as sweet as a Fredericksburg Peach!!! She was welcoming, courteous, smiling and efficient! Thank you, Shannah!!!You can't beat Henry's breakfasts and the prices are so inexpensive, you feel like you're robbing them!I'll definitely be back!!!Ps. I would love a Henry's t-shirt! I wear a women's mediumSSDGM,Elaine”
“This isn't just some corner bar in a small town, it's the epitome of a old school Texas tavern! Friendly, down home service, and the food is far better than you should expect for bar food. Any of the chicken entrees and burgers are pretty damn good (I'm sure the other stuff is good, we just keep going back to our regulars). And they have live music several nights a week and we've seen some really good talent there. They have ice-cold beer and great specialty drinks, but I'm a rum guy and they only had one kind (which I wasn't particularly fond of). After jokingly giving co-owner/manager Jim some grief about it, the next time I came in I was surprised he had stocked the bar with one of my favorites! Thanks Jim! Don't miss this if you're visiting Lockhart. It's right on the historic square, so it's a great spot to stop in after visiting the shops and galleries. Sadly we live an hour away, or else we'd be in here every night! And remember to TIP your bartenders and bands!!!”
“My family and I came in last night for dinner and Zoey helped us. She had great recommendations and was an amazing help. She made great drinks too. Will be coming back!”
“Sweet Tea didn't taste sweet, tasted fruity. Bacon was way over cooked. Waitress was made aware of bacon. Sent it back for more bacon that's not over cooked. Potatoes were over cooked.”
“The food was decent. The salsa was good but definitely different. It had something in it that I have tasted before but couldn't figure it out. I was thinking that they used tomato bullion cubes in it but it definitely has a different consistency and color”
“Double cheeseburger, chips and homemade hot sauce were winners here.Highly recommend!Added bonus would be some sunlight. Way too dark inside. Open at least one curtain, so I can read the menu please!”
“We love this place. Even though Lockhart is the BBQ capital of Texas, this is our main haunt when we come for first Friday. Amazing pizza and great atmosphere.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza available and it actually tastes good.”
“First time buying in this place. The food is delicious, the quesadilla, uff delicious, it doesn't have a lot of cheese and so it's good to be able to dislike the uQuesadilla al pastor. The gorita is quite large. I ordered it with chicharrón in green sauce and I loved it. The delicious tacos. I recommend this place 100%. Next time I will take my children here and we will eat right there??. The girl who helped us was very kind?thank you.”
“Good Friday, and we had a fantastic meal. I had the all-you-can-eat catfish, and the boss had the chopped brisket sandwich. Both were really good. The owner came by a couple of times to make sure we were good.If you are in Lockhart, TX, stop by, and you won't be disappointed.”
“Wings are good. Beer is cold. Service is great. Plus they really get down on Karaoke night! They have deals all through out the week, come by!Parking: It’s a small town, everything is in walking distance.Kid-friendliness: Kids are allowed til 10pm.”
“The food was delicious and service great! Me and coworkers were on our way back from New braunfels and stopped by this place. It was conveniently next to toll road. We had queso, enchiladas, goditas, and barria tacos. Each one was flavorful and super delicious!”

“Introduced my friends here during their visit for the eclipse and they absolutely loved it. Team behind the serving line and cashier station were awesome as well. Lisa and 2 other gentlemen took care of us. This is now my go to spot to showcase the Texan BBQ experience.Looking forward to stopping by again!”
