“Visited for lunch with a group of 10. Service was prompt and excellent for our large group. Every order was correct. The food was fresh and delicious, and prices reasonable. I am anxious to visit again.UPDATE:Shortly after my group visited, the organizer received a message that an earring was found in the restaurant, thinking it may have been one in our group. It was me! They were so kind and thoughtful to try to reunite the earring with the owner. This gave me a great excuse to visit again the following week to get my earring and have lunch again. I took my husband and he loved it as well.If you're sick of battered and fried, pre-made, mass produced, over-priced food, this is the place to go!“

“I cannot speak highly enough about Pinnacle’s on-staff golf pro - Coach Sean. He is truly a different breed. He worked so well with my 12-yr old son, improved his swing immensely, and gave him some awesome opportunities to learn beyond just a driving range - but actually on a course. This guy knows his stuff and will try many different techniques to find something that works.The course is very pretty and the rest of the staff is extremely pleasant as well.“

“Stopped in for a very late breakfast.Found the restaurant to be one very large room with two waitresses taking orders, being the cashier and bus help!The ladies were so busy they couldn't talk to the regular patrons or even listen to the answer after asking "is everything ok".Was considering the salad bar after looking it over I decided not breakfast.Husband ordered a scrambled egg sandwich with lettuce and tomato. I had my usual .. vegetable omelette, we both had hash browns. I would like to say the hash browns were good but, to me they were under cooked. I always ask for mine to be cooked hard or well done and these were not at all.After getting the bill, I always review it and I was surprised to see we were charged for hot water! I haven't yet found a restaurant that has dandelion tea on the menu, so I bring my own and ask for hot water $1.50 for water is ridiculous!“

“I absolutely love good BBQ. I cook it myself often. I moved to this area eleven years ago and have been unsuccessful at finding good BBQ but about a month ago some friends took me to Slappin Good. Since then I have been there twice more and I plan to go again very soon. Their BBQ and all their food is Absolutely Outstanding. I've had their Ribs, Brisket and Sausage. The sides are great as well. I've had their Beans, Cornbread, Potato Salad and Collard Greens. Also, their prices are VERY REASONABLE! I've written great reviews before, but just want to add that besides the amazing food, service, and ambience, David and Thomas have big hearts and are so willing to help our community. I asked David to donate something for the Mabank Fire Department's Annual Fish Fry Silent Auction, and was given the most awesome basket just full of wonderful items! Thank you so much for your kindness and tremendous generosity.Dietary restrictions: I love the way the chef serves my crab cake eggs benedict on grilled prosciutto to make it low carb for me. “We got a family pack with pork burnt ends, brisket, and sausage. I also got a Texas Twinkie appetizer. The sausage was pretty average and the brisket was dry. However, the Texas Twinkie was one of the best meat things I have ever had and the pork burnt ends were amazing as well.For sides the Mac and cheese as well as fries was fantastic. Definitely choose the Texas toast when you have a choice. Avoid the cole slaw and green beans.The service leaves much to be desired but in their defense it was kinda a tasty dive and they were suddenly swamped with people.I'd definitely eat here again.“

“I've been coming to this place for over thirty years. Was so excited whenever they reopened after the pandemic. This place had the best chicken fried steak anywhere! I get that at every restaurant I go to and nobody has been able to beat McClain's CFS! The only reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because of my waitress caring more about the other customers than myself. When I was ready for my check and a to go box, I had to wait a while because my waitress was sitting at a table with other customers. I made eye contact a few times to try to get her attention but she kept just sitting there talking so I had to ask a different lady for a to go box and drink. She went up to my waitress for the ticket, which she handed over and then sat right back down with those customers. Ugh!“

“I’ve been using Lone Star Marina for over 4 years. The friendliness and professional staff make the difference. When I moved here, I kept my wave runner there for about 1 year. Now that I have my own boathouse, I continue to use them for fuel and rental needs when I have family visiting. I used them this last week to allow my boat dealer from Lewisville to pick up my boat for warranty work. The dealer ran late and the Lone Star staff waited, after closing time, to allow my dealer extra time to pick up my boat. I appreciate the willingness to help me without hesitation. That’s service with a smile !“

“Set out to take my teenager bowling for the first time and when we arrived at the bowling alley we where treated like garbage because they where busy , we decided to check you guys out just to do anything, well when we walked in we where greeted with nothing but smiles , staff turned our whole day around and we ended up having a wonderful time there , the prices where excellent, the place was clean and family friendly, , the vibe was perfect, so happy we ended up here , we will be coming as regulars from now on , so much fun , and again the staff where just absolutely delightful“

“New owner "Phill" and his newly hired/trainded staff are turning this place around. When the new sign is erected, the new Menu will come out. In the meantime, the burgers have gotten 300% better and fresher tasting than that in the past by the previous owner. Phil does update posting on Facebook..but should also join Nextdoor...as many folks in Middleton refuse to do anything with Facebook.“

“Lisa is the best server ever , Dakota the manager was very intuitive, and made sure we were taking care of the overnight Cook cooked our chicken very well and most of all it was the cleanest store. I’ve seen in a while I’m very critical because I used to work for Jenny for 20 years. I’m very critical out of all the Dennys I’ve been at in the last four years this one made me super proud of the cleanliness and the hospitality. Everybody should go eat there specially, on late night and support Lisa because she is the best server and very beautiful inside and out.“

“Been here several times and have always had a pleasant meal and visit with the wait staff. Special orders don't upset them. As long as it's a substitute for a menu item. The atmosphere of the building and interior are fine. Fellow dinners....or guests. there have been a few grumpy guests that have made the visit not as pleasant. At our table, we didn't let them take away our enjoyment of a pleasant meal.“

“My wife and I stopped in Sunday 03/17/2024 for our first time. Our server was Brianna and she was amazing! She checked on us often and made us feel so welcome. The cook even brought my food out to us and introduce himself and asked if we need anything. Didn't get his name (sorry) but they were both amazing and welcoming. Brianna is amazing and great at what she does. You are very lucky to have such great staff.“

“It's a small restaurant with a nice and tidy environment. We ordered a chicken fried steak with sweet potato fries and mashed potatoes and a full lb cheeseburger. It was all really good. I wouldn't recommend the bacon wrapped mozzarella sticks because they were still frozen in the middle and had to be taken back. Apparently this happens often as the bacon makes it more difficult to cook through so I'd just stick to getting regular mozzarella sticks lol. Service was decent and I enjoyed my meal here, I will be back.“

“Would normally not have even tried a restaurant with less than 4 stars but after reading some of the (absolutely ridiculous) reviews we decided to give it a try. Arrived at 7:30 PM on an otherwise mundane Thursday evening. Were seated immediately upon entering. The atmosphere is a mishmash of eclectic and lakeside/nautical. The view, I'm sure, during the daylight is likely magnificent with the table to ceiling windows along the entire wall. Our sweet young waitress, Kelsey, was incredibly attentive. I always ask for both drink and entrée suggestions from wait staff. Kelsey suggested the pineapple coconut margarita. It was delicious! Not too sweet so absolutely perfect, if you ask me. Her fav entrée is either the chicken pot pie or the chicken fried steak unless it's Thursday and how lucky were we to have accidentally chosen Thursday to pop in! An 8 oz filet mignon so tender you can cut it with a fork, grilled veggies (yellow and zucchini squash with red onions) seasoned and cooked to literal perfection along with a loaded baked potato and a side salad for the just $29. I could easily eat here every Thursday evening!! Hubby had fried catfish which came with fries and coleslaw. I'm a catfish snob but I actually did love the couple of bites he traded me for a few bites of my amazing steak! While we are in town tomorrow, we will be back to watch the sunset and try Kelsey's other recommendations!! I highly recommend this little gem if you're on or near the lake!“
