“Excellent healthy quick midday meal. Wish we could find places like this everywhere on our travels.Dietary restrictions: Wanted a good chicken salad. Got it w cabbage. Excellent cheesecake too”
“Small town Mexican restaurant with a really mean carne guisada. The food was super tasty, the service was alright, what more do you want from a small place in the middle of no where.”
“The food here was very good some of the best Gordita's I have had and the queso was very good. All the other food coming out looked great also. Stop in for sure if you are staying close by you won't be disappointed. Check for hours though I don't think there open every day.”
“This place rocks. Super cool people, very friendly, knowledgeable and love to talk about beer ha. They had an IPA with "hop hash" in it... YES! This place has a very made from scratch feel, they make em with love! Good prices and cool merch. They hand can beers to-go by request as well. Also - on the other side of the building a nice lady was selling gyros, Yummy.Keep up the good work y'all!”
“We stopped by for a late lunch. Greeted promptly. Open seating. Some old sauce on our table and plates but cleaned quickly when asked. Food was good.Parking: On the square there is free parking.Kid-friendliness: They offer tables big enough for family’s. Nice size outdoor seating area when open.”
“Mi Pueblo came in after Covid killed the fine Tex-Mex restaurant that was there before it. I miss my buddy Jr., but I'm really happy with this new place. The Carne Quisada is OUTSTANDING! Al Pastor with nopales is terrific! BTW, I've never had nopales before and I'm glad I took the "risk". They cooked it with the meat and it was scrumptious! IMHO, one of the most important, distinguishing features of good Mexican restaurants are the salsas. The red stuff has to have a nice bite with a little bit of sweet. Mi Pueblo has it nailed! The green salsa is also fantastico! The other thing I look for is how well they prepare Carnitas. I originally tried the Guisada because it was the daily lunch special...and I've been kind of stuck on it. It's THAT good! This week I tried the Al Pastor. It was definately worth having again. I've tried their enchiladas and tacos, both excellent. But I haven't tried their carnitas? What's wrong with this picture? I really must remedy that oversight. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The service is quick and friendly. The portions are good sized and the price is right. Oh, and their sweet tea is properly made Texas style. Give this place a try if you're ever in Kingsland. I'm pretty sure you'll like it.”
“Amazing food! Stopped by on Thanksgiving morning while traveling and had the breakfast croissants (both sausage and bacon) and donuts. They're also able to accept card! Overall great place and already looking forward to stopping by again on the way back home!”
“Although the Pagan Shaman images on both wine glasses and in metal sculptures on the premises and outdoors let me know I was on the opposite Spiritual Team, co-owner Scott Haupert was a very gracious host and his wines were worth the visit.”
“Brisket had good flavor, but a little dry. Probably mostly because we were there at 1:30 so not the best time to go to a barbecue place. Ribs were not to my taste, but absolutely not complaining. They were done very well. Jalapeño sausage was great. Creamed corn was the best. Potato salad and Mac and cheese were great also. Overall a good experience. Definitely recommend it.”
“Great family owned atmosphere, very friendly server. Breakfast was really good, came out hot and fresh. As we were leaving, they started serving lunch. Looked very good as well. We will definately go ”
“French Fries are the Best!!! All our food was awesome, pies are homemade and delicious. Waitress was very helpful and friendly.Great place to eat.Glad we took the side roads home to Minnesota instead of the Interstate.”
“They were about 30 minutes late and that was late for us! I needed them no later than that time, next time I will will say an hour before I need them as my pick up time, other than that it was great!”
“Always stop her for Blizzards when passing through. They normally do a great job mixing ice cream and toppings.Parking: We drive an RV with tow, lots of room!Kid-friendliness: They have great kids' food and ice cream.”
“Happen to be here on 4/8/2024 the day of the solar eclipse. This is such a wonderful little place managed by a wonderful lady. The place is clean, the coffee is great and the bagel with Lox and creamcheese was to die for. Really recommend the place.”
