“I grew up in this bar. They used to give me Shirley Temples with a bowl of goldfish. Now, they have an entire menu with an awesome chef preparing meals that can be enjoyed on the screened in patio if preferred. The music, pool, and awesome people just totally completel the fun atmosphere.“
“Comfort food made well! We have been to this restaurant several times now. Mostly for breakfast but a couple times for dinner. Their beef tips and noodles was the best I've ever had! They were absolutely delicious and tender, and so flavorful They always cook my bacon correctly and my eggs. If I ever have to come back to Houston, god for bed, I will definitely be back at mamas place to eat. I would also like to add that the staff is always very friendly and accommodating thank you for that.“

“I was served by a young lady that appeared to be new. She was trying her best but was still falling short. The only help she received from her coworkers was a cold shoulder. What appeared to be the shift leader wasn't much better.I hope the young person gets the help and training she needs to be successful.“
“The food was good and more than I could eat. The service was outstanding. The dining room was a large open room that I didn't care for, reminded me of the mess hall when I was in the Navy. It's a little far from my house for a frequent visit, but I will get back as often as I can.Parking: Plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly.“
“If you're looking for a great, clean place to eat and have a drink off the beaten path, the Old Gin is a good place to stop. It's in a renovated old cotton gin, so it has plenty of rural/small-town atmosphere, but it's clean and well lit.The main dining room has a bar with about 10 beers on tap, in addition to other drinks. There's a covered patio. When we arrived the live music entertainment for the night was setting up. Plus, there's a playground for the kids to play own while they wait for the food.My wife had a burger and my daughter had the turkey sandwich. I had a monte-cristo like sandwich: bacon, jalapenos, swiss, and raspberry jam. For an appetizer we had fried pickles and cheese sticks. All were very fresh tasting. They even fry their own chips which were excellent!The service was very helpful and checked on us regularly. I recommend this place.“
“Don't judge a book by its cover! This place is SO YUMMY! The people working there are so nice and the food is delicious. They've been winning best breakfast food for the past 4 years and there's a reason for it. I definitely recommend this restaurant. My husband and I ate there for the first time today and I am so glad we picked this place.“
