“Great brunch options. Came in today to enjoy some coffee and scrambled eggs with salmon. My absolute favorite on the menu. I love every bite I’ve tried here. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is that it is pretty loud in here. Which says everyone else loves it too cause it is BUSY. I definitely recommend giving this place your business. If they ever decide to keep serving through the dinner hour, I’d dine in.“

“If you want an amazing mom/pop place to eat, that has amazing food... this is the place. The rolls will have your mouth watering for more. I had the Stromboli. My only critique would be to put the sauce in a bowl. It made the bottom soggy. It was good sauce, just better as a side. I saw one of the pizzas made for another customer and I can't wait to go back. It's hand tossed dough.Parking: Parking is somewhat limited up front. I didn't see any signs for alternate parking.“

“A few weeks ago my hubby and stopped in for dinner here. We had looked on Yelp to find a place where our dog would be welcome as we had our Basset Hound with us. Ale's had a variety of menu items to choose from and we both had their chicken fried steak that came with two sides. It was quite good and made a second meal the next day having been a large portion. The gravy was delicious and not overly salty too. The service was friendly, the patio in the back of the restaurant had several patio umbrellas for shade and was quite comfortable and quiet. The waitress brought over some water for our hound too.“

“Everytime we visit this place, we are welcomed with love. The food is the best. Taste and texture is phenomenal. We were surprised hardly anyone was there last night on a Friday. You must try this restaurant at least once. We enjoy the Hibachi meals as well as the Teryaki ones.“

“Food is always amazing, first off. But today is my husband’s birthday and he wanted breakfast from them so bad… we ordered 4 BACON EGG CHEESE TACOS & 2 bacon burritos with the works and paid almost $33 dollars. We patiently waited for about 15 minutes and the buzzer went off, only they didn’t make the burritos. So we had to wait another 10 minutes on those. Got all the way to the house (we don’t live in Midlothian at all) and the 4 BACON EGG CHEESE tacos, turned into 2 bean and cheese tacos and 2 potato & egg tacos. He wasn’t happy but everyone was starving so of course the food was devoured. But it will be a hot minute before we order from there again.“

“Always busy when I go but this place. Food melts in your mouth. Owner is a great person The yum-yum sauce is finger licking good. They stay busy but considering they are pretty quick with the food. Way generous portions in the plate. Definitely recommend.“

“I went on a date here and it was great! The food was top notch hands down the best Thai I've ever had or even made myself! We got steamed dumplings to start and I got the punang curry and my date got orange chicken we also got Thai tea and Thai iced coffee both were perfect. TK was our server and chef and he was attentive but not overbearing and his food looks like the pictures online perfection! The restaurant is nicely decorated and provides a nice atmosphere. 5 out of 5 stars no doubt is my favorite restaurant!“

“Very nice location - friendly staff, great food, clean eating area and restrooms. Very busy, but super quick service - everything was made correctly.I got the chili burger and an order of frijoles. My husband got 2 crunchy tacos and the red burrito. The amount of cheese on the frijoles was amazing! 5+ stars!!!“

“Great service you see yourself customer service is amazing they have everything you need on that menu it is a beautiful menu I really should have taken a picture I took my mom and I got chicken wings and fries they freeze are great and she got the big catch fish rice and zucchini and we got two sodas it came out to be $43 for me that is cheap I don't know about everybody else“

“Quiet, local gem. Excellent food, made with clearly fresh ingredients ...a wide selection of traditional entrees. Not fancy, but nicely remodeled from a few years ago. I had the Orange chicken and pork-fried rice. The rice alone would have made a great meal. Hubs had the pepper steak with onion and loved it. Both of us had more than we could eat and the bill was under $20 (before the tip). A steady carry-out business shows local appreciation of this place. Highly recommend.“

“First time Good experience Sits on the corner, looks kinda small but has lots of seating. I like that this place is separated into a dining area (quieter for the family) and bar area. Interesting soda options, but they do not have Coke. Food came out quicker than expected (as the menu warns ya to be patient due to everything being made to order). Burger was delicious; hot, juicy and seasoned just right. My hubby and I had the Jelly Belly (don't really understand the name...I'll have to ask next time we are there). It's a slippery one because of all the goodies inside, but I don't mind eating with my fingers We also both love onion rings. They were okay. I prefer a thicker onion and a thinner batter, but that's just my preference. To each their own. They were a bit too salty for me....so I peeled off a lot of the batter. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and will try this place again. *the only reasons I took away one star: 1. It wasn't busy, but lots of tables not bussed, mostly on the bar side. Not sure if customers are supposed to do this. We threw away our own trash and returned the metal trays to the shelf. 2. I drink water with meals. The water dispenser spigot was broken and was barely hanging on and there were no lids for the water cup (which is weird because it is a normal size cup). Both easy fixes...just requires a tad more attention to the basics.“

“I never leave reviews but today I must. I eat at Ellis County at least twice a month, the reason I’m posting a 5 star review is due to Shawn, (new owner) came over to apologize about running out of peach cobbler and ice cream. Not only did he apologize but he insisted on Giving us banana pudding and a chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. On top of an incredible chop beef sandwich and fried okra (best fried okra I’ve had), the pudding and cookie were definitely a pleasant surprise. Shawn, your kindness and incredible bbq will always keep me coming back for more and one of these visits I’ll try something else, (chop beef) is definitely the bomb.
