“I had a wonderful experience at Mexican Mom's kitchen. The service and food are notch. The menu has a section that changes weekly with new items and a regular menu that never changes, so you visit every week and try something new every time. The appetizer was wonderful, and I wish I had remembered the name of it, but the next time I visit, I will remember to check. The beef Empanadas and my chocolate tres Leche were the best I have had in a long time. ? Bravo!Kid-friendliness: There is an area that has clean working toys and books for kids and adults to take to the table for entertainment.Wheelchair accessibility: There is handicapped parking.“

“I have been to hundreds of eloteros but none have been as good as Chucho's. The corn will always be fresh and there are toppings available for you to use to your liking. His homemade sauces are amazing and he treats you like family. There isn't much more that you could ask from a corn business. This place checks all the boxes.“

“The food is absolutely the most authentic and delicious Mexican seafood around. It’s not just your typical fried everything. The dishes have variety and great flavor. They welcome you with chips and ceviche. The appetizer are cheap and delicious. And you can’t go wrong with any of the entrees you choose.“

“Very nice and novel combinations of different cuisines. Some sounded daring, like sashimi style fish with a strawberry based sauce, but without exception all were very well balanced and tasteful. If you enjoy new, and excellent, culinary experiences make sure to visit.“

“Walked into this place not knowing what to expect. Ordered the guac and polo tacos and wow! Both delicious! Love the decor and vibe. Only negative is air freshener was a bit strong, like a window needs to be opened it's too much! Otherwise fantastic service and good.“

“Went in for breakfast and it was amazing. The restaurant was nice and clean. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Had beef fajitas omelette was made with fresh eggs and the meat was so good. The refied beans and black beans were the best tasting my wife and I have ever had. Coffee was really good too. Definitely going back to try it for lunch.“

“First, I want to say, each time my husband and I visit this location, the hostesses are amazing - Isabeau, Aime, Krikett, Jasmine, and any other hostess I may have left out! They are so accomodating, and greet you with a big smile every time you walk through the door. I know that "hostess" is not the most popular position in the restaurant, but it is a very important position, as the hostess makes the FIRST impression. The service and food have always been stellar, especially at this location. We try to eat here at least once a week, and have been eating here for years. Cool atmosphere, cheery employees, and exellent food. Last week, I tried the shrimp tacos for the first time, with slaw and all. They were delicious. Amanda has waited on us (booth in the bar area) the last couple of times we have been in. She is an excellent server; they all are. We appreciate all the hard working people at this restaurant, and wanted to let them know that, with this review.“

“This is one option in a food truck park with 5-6 other food trucks. El Mictlan was our choice for vegan/vegetarian. I had the Chilaquiles and my friend had the Tacos Dorados. Both were spicy, but not overwhelming and had good flavor. The server took our orders and made recommendations. He was polite and brought the food to the table quickly. Seating is outdoors on picnic tables, but they have turf in the eating area so it's not muddy. Tables also have umbrellas to provide shade from the sun. Enjoyable experience. Will try them again when I'm in the area.“

“We enjoyed the street corn appetizer and the vegetarian enchiladas! The green salsa is my favorite. The service was fantastic and we even visited with Uli. The tucked away location is off Research Forest just west of Kuykendahl. Make the effort to visit and you won’t be disappointed! Cheers!“

“Food is good but on more than two occasions when the old woman takes the charge she chooses to add her own tip at the end of my transaction. Where is the integrity??I don’t know what that is about but I will be paying with cash from here on out if I ever decide to stop here again.“

“The beans were really delicious. Love the fresh chips. The service was excellent. The bathroom is very clean. The beef in the street tacos were cooked very dry and hard which i felt that I was eating beef jerky tacos. And they are not flavored enough.“

“If your expecting TexMex, don't go, if you like authentic Mexican Food, don't miss it. I had the slow braised lamb shank, fall of the bone cut it with a fork. The shrimp tequila shrimp's were mushy and taken off the bill. Otherwise the food was excellent. Service was impeccable.“

“I don't remember the last time I had a meal where I said wow, like 40+ times. The Carnitas were amazing, best I've ever had. This is the place you take out of town guests, when you want to feel proud that you're a Texan. Represents Tex Mex food at its best. Honesty, I didn't know Tex Mex could be this good. If you live in the Woodlands, lucky you. This place is a gem.“

“2024/ Totally different restaurant compared to my previous review. Service is terrible. Waiters totally distracted. My drink with strange particles inside. Food bad quality. Chicken was like chewing gum, order totally confused, very expensive. Definitely not the excellent “Cafe di Fiori” from before. Nice wine glasses are not making a better place. I was regular and today is the last time I come. Will share the word because service is disastrous. Sad to see how a good place is deteriorated.2023 / Definitely the best Mexican upscale restaurant in The Woodlands. Great environment, wonderful staff and delicious food“

“I was in search of breakfast tacos, and I found my new favorite spot. Their tortillas are made fresh, and all the food overall was delicious. They offer several variations of sauces, which you can also purchase. I really like that because I prefer fresh versus buying at the grocery store with all the preservatives. The restaurant itself is bright and beautifully decorated. High top and table seating available. The staff are friendly and service is quick. Parking is convenient.“

I will have to go back to try others tacos and the burrito. Great place to eat tacos. Be aware they closed at 2pm everything day and I am not sure if on Sundays they open. I went during the week. A lot of people go there for take out.“

“I have been here a few times. Most of the visits were positive. The place is decorated very nicely and is clean!! The people are nice and the food is good and reasonable. The last time I was here, the waitress wasn't as good. There were only 5 tables on a sunday and two waitresses. It wasn't that busy. Our table was the biggest with 9 people. The food took a minute to come out. It was hot and only one mess up, which was corrected right away. The waitress, however, filled our drinks when we ordered, filled everyone else's one more time, and that was it. She didn't check on us at all after that. I had asked for a refill 3 times and didn't get it. Then I had to approach her in front of another staff member and basically demand-which I hate doing, it's rude-just for a refill. The gentleman was very nice, apologized, and immediately refilled the drink. The waitress still didn't come back to the table except to give checks and take payments. We had to help ourselves to the take home containers. This is the only time I had a less than stellar visit. Usually, the wait staff is very attentive and friendly. The owner is very nice. The food is always hot and fresh. I will be back and bring more people. Everyone I have brought so far has really enjoyed this place. Give it a try as it is family owned!!“

“This is the best Mexican food I’ve ever had in TX so far! I’ve eaten at other Mexican places in the Houston area but this by far is the most excellent food and the staff was so pleasant and welcoming! I will be coming back often. Reminds me of the food back home in Cali! “

“This is our go to for Mexican near the woodlands. The food is always good, but make sure to check your to go orders. I don’t think they have ever gotten an order completely right the first time. And we only have 2 people to order for so it’s usually a couple enteees and an appetizer. But overall it’s a good spot that we frequent.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“

“We went at 7pm today and got margaritas and the appetizer with ceviche, guacamole, quesito, and cocktail shrimp and it was fantastic!I grew up in South Houston in an all Mexican neighborhood, and this food flavor is authentic, reminds me of being a kid growing up hearing Selena wile eating elote while riding my bicycle. The Stuffed Beef Fajita Avocado was perfectly crisp and tasteful. Everything tasted fresh, even the chips and perfect salsa with onions and cilantro. Our glasses never got empty, the service was A+ from the busboys and waiter, Jose.Music is loud enough not to hear other people, but quiet enough to hear your table. It’s a family restaurant, so if you don’t want to hear a baby cry occasionally, then sit near the bar or on the patio.Restroom was spotless. Our waiter Jose was kind and helpful. Great job!“

“1st time visit, food is amazing! Real flour tortillas & everything! Server however insisted on making my tacos her way not my way. I asked for extra cilantro & onion was told it’s already in my taco!Wish it was more like Subway - make it how I ask, not how you would eat it ? craziness. I’ll go back tho!!!!“

“This place has never let me down. The great part is that this location is consistent with the Gringo's food quality. I like to order the Plato Soldado. It's practically a mini sample of their best. Plus, they make a donation to Camp Hope for every one of those plates ordered. So it's DEFINITELY a win-win.“

“Authentic Mexican tacos, very good quality of the pastor and fajita. They have excellent care. The fried plantains are very good. I have yet to try the quesabirrias. There are a couple of swings for the kids to entertain themselves while you enjoy your taquitos. There are 2 food carts, they have a roof and tables to sit on but it is not a closed place.Parking: It's next to a gas station so there's somewhere to park, or right next to the cart.Kid-friendliness: They sell food suitable for children and there are swings for them to play.“

The salsa was good as well not super spicy but had enough. I wish it wasn’t so pricy but then again they were super good.10 corn tacos and 2 cans of cokes for 40$“

“This is one of our favorite date night places. The food is always fabulous, service is usually great, but not always, but then they can get pretty busy and I didn't know how their system works. The margaritas are a little pricey, even happy hour, especially for their size. They're not bad, but there's other great places for that value. We love the tamale corn cakes, avocado shrimp relleno, the large Guadalajara enchilada sampler platter (?)Roasted Chile creamy soup (exact name?)along with other fabulous dishes.Vegetarian options: They have a small section on menu and options for vegetarian.Parking: There's parking, though later on Friday you might have to sweat it a minute, but we've never had to leave the lot.“

“Chicken fajitas lunch plate was great, tortillas are hot & perfect. Woman at the front counter is amazing, friendly & the most thoughtful I've experienced in a long time! “Food had lots of flavor and was probably the best Mexican food I've had in the area. Only reason that it is a 4 star is because of the atmosphere and the chips. Chips are way to crunchy for my liking but others may disagree. Julio's has multiple daily specials and is going to be a regular spot for me and my family.“

“Well the food was good but not great. The service was good but not great. The music was from the 70s. If you are a Mexican restaurant, you should be playing Spanish music, not music from the '70s. All in all I gave it a four star. I will have to think about coming here again. Not sure if I will. Not sure if I won't. Met the owner. He was very nice. But it was the music that really turned me off to the place. If you would like to visit this place I suggest you should only because the food was good. The atmosphere is nice and the decor is really in good taste.“
