“A very laid back local beer bar. They started brewing their own small batch beers, earlier this year. The other night I tried their red, and it was excellent. They have weekly trivia, and bands from jazz to rock on the weekends. The crowd is an unpretentious mix of Pantego and beyond locals, leaning towards a more mature crowd. Also so of the friendliest bartenders you will find. The have about 35-40 drink options that rotate somewhat. You are apt to find anything from a apple brandy barrel aged imperial stout, to a blackberry mead, and plenty in between.“

They have many employees that have been there for over 20 years. “This is a hidden gem of an upscale dive bar and restaurant. We say at the bar where Currin and Sarah were on point! Super friendly, and they never let out beers get empt even though the place was packed. This is also a family owned local business, which we love to support. We had the adult Mac and cheese and the chips and queso, both were really good. We'll definitely be back to try more of the food and listen to some karaoke.“

Lots of vintage games from the 1980s and 1990s, select newer games especially pinball machines with a modern flair. And there's plenty of bar food and bar drinks. “Mark was a wonderful bartender. He was our first bartender there and he was fantastic. However, we went a third time (3/22/24) and there was a woman. I unfortunately did not get her name. She served me and told me that I was being too loud. I apologized saying that I am from a loud family. I’m sensitive and cried out of embarrassment. Whenever my friend arrived and asked me how I was. I’m told them that I was told I was too loud. The bartender then came back and accused me too of acting like I was 12 and Making her a villain. I assured her that I never spoke a bad word about her just repeated that she told me I was too loud. I was embarrassed. I didn’t feel welcome and we attempted to pay but she said to not worry about the drink.I don’t understand what happened or why she was mad that I told my friend what she told me . I no longer feel welcome at my favorite whiskey bar. My fiends tried talking to her to understand the friction and called her out on her rudeness simply by asking her why she was taking digs at me. They didn’t appreciate the situation.She didn’t have to keep insulting me/putting me down. I just needed a moment to process my embarrassment I already apologized for.“

“Had so much fun. The band D.O.B. did a great job. Found out they perform every Friday night. I love how it's a live band on one side and a DJ on the other side of the club so that you can enjoy either side. The food was good, and I loved the fried pickles. I will definitely be back. There's African music in the background, sports on the TVs, a full-service bar, and a nice, comfortable seating area of tables and booths. We'll be going back for more. Between our three diners we had sambusas to start, then lamb kabob dinner, chicken kabob dinner, and beef stew. The spinach is amazing, the fou fou outstanding, and don't miss their dessert - it's kind of a bread/biscuit/not too sweet an ending. “Timing, timing, timing! My queen Revonna and I went to The Grease Monkey for dinner. Although the Arlington downtown does not offer much to see or tour, this restaurant is a place I recommend! I'll be back to try more foods from their menu. What we had was the cheeseburger with fries and waffle fries. The restaurant was very busy with a line going through the door! That's why I began this review with "timing!" Our wait was 28 minutes but it was worth the wait!“

They have an excellent selection of produce and organic fresh fruit and vegetables while the bakery and pre-made foods have and will always have a place in my heart. They got deals throughout the week, such as Monday drumstick night, where they provide already fried drumsticks to take home. They also have a great selection of sushi, fried chicken wings, and soups. They also have a pharmacy on-site providing pharmaceutical needs and over the counter medicine. While in the store, you might enjoy grabbing a fresh brewed cup of Starbucks coffee or heading over to Tap House 16, where they have local drafts and wine for purchase. You can easily sip at the bar and enjoy the vibe or walk around the store and drink as well. The happy hour is amazing, and the staff and workers fulfill their service to the community with a smile.Overall Market Street is a great and lovely store to get your daily needs of groceries while experiencing exceptional customer service.
