“the ladies that work this place come into my work all the time and they invited me to come try thier cooking and oh my it was just so amazing. I ordered two Carne guisada tacos and the meat was so tender and the flavour was different than anywhere else I've tried. I definitely encourage people to try it out.“
“I had a carne fajita and margarita, the margarita had barely any alcohol in it and was very very salty, almost as if they just grabbed about a table spoon of salt and tossed it inside. The food was great and tasted wonderful and delicious. I didn't dine in but opted to order out.“
“I can tell how good a place is just by ordering their tacos, and they really didn't let down here. You wouldn't think a place this far north from the valley would have not only decent tacos but great ones. Priced at $2 each. They have a great variety of meats for your tacos, I normally order fajita, tripa & al pastor. Can't go wrong with any of them. The flavor is just on point, the al pastor has a fantastic taste. The fajita had some nice charred edges that add to the already great flavor. The tripa can be asked soft or crunchy, I prefer a mix of both. This place is a real gem, reminds me of the flavors from the valley. I highly recommend it.“
“Best tacos we’ve had since we moved to Texas from California two years ago. We got three fajita tacos and three Al pastor tacos and they were delicious the salsa they have the red and the green we’re both very good in the cup of beans they give you taste homemade“
“Since iv moved back iv had this place in my ❤. They have my favorite dish on the menu and it is as good as it was when I used to live in Palacios tx. The restaurant there was just amazing and til I came here I hadn't seen or heard of it again til HIBANEROS... I THANK THEM FOR EVERYTHING... MY FAVORITE WAITRESS MOVED ON , BUT SHE WOULD JUST NO MY VOICE ON PHONE AND AUTOMATICALLY NEW EXACTLY WHAT WAS GOING TO B ORDERED. “The food was delicious and the service was great! My mom and I had been looking for a good Mexican restaurant in Port Lavaca, but hadn't found one we really liked yet. Mexico Tipico is now our new favorite and our go-to for lunch and wherever we want Mexican now.“
“Waitress was really nice, restaurant & bathrooms were clean. My parents really liked the fried chicken & onion rings. My husband had carne guisada & it was good. I had chicken flautas & my niece had enchiladas, it was good just needed a little bit of seasoning but that's just my opinion.“
“Took my brother there while he was visiting for breakfast! I had an omelet (American style) that was excellent! He had one of the Mexican breakfast choices with beans and salsa. Fresh tortilla shells were amazing!!! The staff was very attentive and pleasant!!“
“Food was good. We arrived about 45 minutes from closing time so we were one of the only tables in the dining room but it took a long time to get our food and service was just OK. They were probably busy with the closing duties. Margarita was terrible. Would go back though and would recommend.“
“Drive through. Excellent chicken flautas, huevos rancheros are good rolled up in the included tortillas. Also had the corn with mayonnaise and hot sauce. I really enjoy this corn dish. The drinks are really good. We had the strawberry and the melon. Taste is faithful to the fruit and is mixed with ice. Lots better than carbonated beverages. Also have had excellent tamales which are white corn massa with no included meat. Surprisingly good with a sweet taste. Service at the drive through is quick and good for a good pickup meal.“
“Several tables had customers and we were a Party of 9 with 4 kids, and as we were doing drinks orders another party of 10 arrived, drinks arrived quickly, fresh chips n salsa, lunch didn't put a burden on anyone and everything came out great.. will definitely stop by again..“
“Looks like a family run restaurants. Friendly service. Large menu and fair prices. Food was good! In particular we liked the shrimp and fish tacos. I recommend to avoid everything with cheese as they use the typical American orangey cheese sauce.“
“Truly a cozy little stop. Great food, great staff, and great tea. There are a lot of stigmas in Port Lavaca about the Mexican food places because there are so many, but don't let this deter you from eating here. We go to church right down the road and often come here on Sundays. It's worth it.“
“I haven’t had anything I haven’t had anything I haven’t liked from their menu yet. They do have a food truck that my co-workers and I frequent. They have a large selection of salsas that are all very flavorful and spicy. The portions are generous and the staff are very kind.“
“We showed up for lunch and got the lunch special meals. They were really good meals for really good prices. I personally got the three taco special with beans and rice and it was phenomenal. The service was great and super to the point. I would highly recommend to eat here.“
“This place is a hidden gem! The burgers here were amazing. The meat was very flavorful, and the sweet Hawaiian bread that they used made it taste perfectly! The piña colada was great, perfect mix. The onion rings are a mist have as they make their own batter.Overall, this is a must try place for the burgers, and I'm looking forward to trying their other plates on my next visit!“
