“I was 5hrs into a 10hr drive and needed coffee ASAP. So glad I stopped here! Friendly staff and customers! Always love those small town vibes! I got an iced Cinnamon Toast Crunch and a chocolate chip cookie. Woke me up and got me to my destination. Can’t wait to stop on my way back in a week! :)”
“My husband heard about this place while visiting Lubbock. He sat next to the owners son, who told him about El Aguacalientes. We pulled up to the drive-thru and the owner was reading his Bible. To say that interaction made my heart happy is an understatement. And oh my, that was an AMAZING barbacoa taco!”
“What a truly amazing and unique little spot to find on our roadside on our trip.Authentic Mexican food, clean restaurant, and friendly service. They were very accommodating to a vegetarian diet. There were not many veggie items on the menu, but they were able to customize my order. Many daily specials on the board, too. I had a cheese and avocado quesadilla. We were served delicious house made and heated salsa on the side. Hubs really enjoyed the chorizo gordita. Both entrees were accompanied with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, radishes, fresh made Spanish rice (great flavor, fluffy, not clumpy), and refried beans. Most items on the menu were ala carte. A large selection of Jarritos sodas.I lost my voice today, and whom I could assume the owner sent me off with a handful of cough drops and told me about cinnamon, honey, and lime tea. How sweet! We both were happy to have stopped at this gem of a Mexican restaurant. Great job guys, thanks, so much! I highly recommend it!Vegetarian options: They were able to accommodate a vegetarian diet.Dietary restrictions: They were able to accommodate a vegetarian diet.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp out front”
“I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GREAT STUFF ABOUT THIS PLACE!!!!This little gem is right downtown in a building that's over 100 years old! It's a quaint bar that is casual and unassuming with both beer and wine on the menu along with some perfect plates of snack like cheese, meat and Crackers. The best part of the Winehouse is the owner Michelle!!! Michelle is an awesome, animated, opinionated and welcoming mainstay that truly separates this bar from anywhere else (see attached Pic). There is absolutely NO ONE like Michelle and simply her personality will draw you in and make you want to sit down and stay a while! If you're anywhere in West Texas stop in Post and visit Michelle!”
“Hot damn this is the best damn barbecue I have had since meeting with the president of the United States at the Rio Grande when you ask for the ribs they literally will fall off the bone don't drop the bones take them home to your ”
“This place is the best!! We were headed back from Lubbock and drove past and thought that donut holes and a kolache sounded great! The kolaches were good and fresh, as well as the donut holes. Not to mention a great price for all that I got!! The man that helped us immediately made an interaction because of my Dallas Cowboy's shirt, so friendly!! And he snuck us a few extra donut holes!! Wish we lived closer than 3 hours away, would definitely go back!!!”
“Only bar in town... Luckily it's also one of the coolest little dive bars I've ever been in, so it's a win-win. They serve great bar food (burgers, wings, etc)”
“Love me some Mexican food and this place has some authentic being burritos way better than Taco Bell I can't wait to make it back again after my trip to the Rio Grande I'm going to tell everybody South of the Border this is the place to go for a real ”
“George's was a welcome sight at 7AM as we traveled across Texas. Great breakfast selections. We had everything from biscuits & gravey to pancakes to eggs rancheros.”
“My wife and I stopped at this Subway today while we were in town.. It was full of students and other patrons.. Noticed how well the two employees worked together at getting the orders pushed thru! As a business owner, I can truly say that Dakota is an asset to this establishment! The place was clean and tidy, the restrooms were clean and all of the food was very fresh! This is officially my favorite Subway that I've ever visited.”
“Traveling in "Outer Space" West Texas....Stops are few and present a plexus...That, as you know, is an intricate network of Allsup's StationsWhere the rations are suspect...Limited to candy bars, a banna tree, coffee, and salt laided snack food that is truly a witch's brew.......So the Holly Drive Inn in Post is an out of the past dinner,That could not be finer....stop here if you want to be freeof Allsup's - for the grilled food, soft serve, and service are all tops.....”
“I've been raising chickens for about 20 years and when I figured out these guys were in town I brought a few up here to get some fresh chicken nuggets however these kids don't even know how to butcher a chicken they were quite surprised to understand where the chicken meat came from so after a few lessons outside the back door these young men quite impressed and I believe that they now hold regular chicken plucking contests however we did end up having some fresh chicken nuggets and they were the best damn chicken nuggets this side of the Rio Grande”
“Sylvia is an awesome person! She made us feel comfortable and important! She had a beautiful smile! Do not lose this employee! Most McDonalds we go to have very rude and uncaring employees so do not lose this employee!Dietary restrictions: You need to have more low carb dishes such as bunless burgers and low carb bowls.”
“Good food was disappointed in that our drinks were about 85% crushed ice, friend was disappointed in his popcorn chicken which he had ordered a large but received a medium instead.”
“Amazing!Sorry for the long post, but...So glad my dad mentioned he was thinking he was hungry for BBQ when he did. We were about 5 miles south of Post and on our way towards Lubbock and he asked me to look for some BBQ. This place came up with excellent reviews and others saying you have to stop if you come through. So we made the stop early for lunch and it definitely didn't disappoint! We are headed to Albuquerque from Florida and just passing through. It was a perfect place to stop for an excellent home cooked meal. The owners were friendly, the place was busy and the locals definitely come here for lunch which is a good sign! The food was excellent! My dad had the brisket sandwich. I had a mac-n-cheese bowl topped with pulled pork (I can't remember the awesome creative name). I missed getting a picture of his huge sandwich, but mine is attached. They also have a map that you can place a pin where your from. It is so cool. They have had people from every state and manycountries. Just the neatest place. Will definitely be back if we are through this area again!”
