“It's a bare bones beer and taco bar. Nothing fancy right on 7th St. It's fun for what it is. The food is good. They serve Margaritas in a plastic cup from a machine I believe ( skipped that observation somehow). The margaritas are icy and frozen and strong. Delicious on a 108⁰ day but not cuisine material otherwise. A single can of beer is $6.50! I should have brought my cooler. They have a classic red velvet cake with caramel sauce that should come with an insulin shot but people- this is a cake worth trying and it's enough for 2!All in all I didn't get to really explore their menu like usual. I went there as a meet up for after party beers. This place is not budget- friendly but you'll enjoy the no fuss atmosphere. The patio is fun EXCEPT it's right on 7th and there will be kids racing cars and bikes, honking, crossing light blinking noises and pedestrians- some are sketchy. Police had to remove a poor soul that but the manager wasn't rude to him and that was a good thing. You gotta go here at least once to experience what going to an easy going, no Frills, gathering place can be. You can walk to other local places too that are right next door. Bring your friend that has bad manners, and always wears cargo shorts and an ugly shirt bc he will fit right in!Tell me what you think.Parking: This was a Wednesday night folks and parking was STUPID. Double parked unoccupied cars and parking lot uneven with broken cement and gravel. There is additional parking in the lots next door behind other bars. Unattended and free for all style. Later parking proved better, after 9 but again, this was a Wednesday. Weekends must be ridiculous.“
“Some of the best authentic food around. Family ran business You go there the food and the warmth of the familia is very pleasing! From the elote to the tamales. You get a taste of home, a taste of authenticity! Always fresh!!The food is so good I always eat it before I get the photos, lol. Maybe next time!“
“I went here for lunch and had tacos. They were really good. They had good flavor and were very fresh. I asked them if they had crunchy tacos. The man helping me replied "we can make you some" and they were very crunchy and good. I greatly appreciated the great customer service. I can't wait to bring my husband to eat here.“
“Epic tacos! I tried it because the Google ratings were so high. The food doesn't disappoint! They also have a food truck on West 7th, and they cater events around town too. SUPER nice folks. But the food is definitely great and I will be back. Thanks for a great lunch!“
“Shrimp is delicious and you get a big helping of rice a little side salad. The sampler is nice so you can taste a few flavors and decide what you prefer. The shrimp is delicious and comes out quick. Staff is all young kids who are kind and helpful. Spot is cute and has plenty do sitting. They have sinks easily accessible to wash your hands after handling the shrimp which I appreciate :)“
“I've always gone to this gas station and was curious and I am definitely coming back! I tried the carnitas and the Pastor and let me tell you so much flavor hit me ?. I can tell by the taste of the food these people really care about what they serve! I will definitely be coming back to try out the torta and burrito. Y gracias a la señora que me ayudó y también él cocinero!“
“The BEST queso birria tacos in DFW by far!I’ve been here several times and each time the staff has been extremely helpful, friendly, and happy. Happy to serve you, to help you make a choice if you’re unsure. The place is always clean! The food is top notch! A must try when in Arlington!!“
“This is not your usual taco place! If you want a different take on familiar flavors, then this will be right up your alley. I'm a fan of the chips and queso and like the pork carnitas, the democrat, and their taco of the month, the vagabond. They're sold individually and one taco can be a meal all on its own. It can accommodate gluten free needs, but it can be hit or miss for me if I have a reaction after eating here. So, proceed with caution if you're celiac. My son is a fan of the trailer park trashy (NOT GF) and the hillbilly queso.“
“We visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday and it was absolutely lovely. The vibe is amazing-chill and laid back. We sat on the patio. There’s a covered walk-up bar as well as plentiful indoor seating. The food was delicious!! We ordered specialty tacos, black beans, a jalapeño margarita, pina colada, and were treated to samples of their pina colada and pork belly taco. Their chips & salsa were incredible and all of the food was fresh and made with TLC. We were treated like loyal customers and would definitely recommend this restaurant!!! Be prepared to experience great customer service and eat some delicious food. If you’re a taco head-this is your spot!!!The restrooms/establishment were also very clean. They honor military veterans which is extremely important to us. 2 hour complimentary parking is also offered for their guests which is a plus while visiting the Stockyards.Parking: Probably about 20-30 spots“
“My husband and I have been searching for the best carne asada tacos in DFW for so long and never did we think we would find it in a local food truck - but let me tell you, this place is the real deal. After trying the tacos for the first time last week, we literally went back two more times that week! The carne asada beef is so flavorful and tender, and the corn tortillas are soft and fresh. My husband also enjoyed the birria tacos and especially loved the consommé.Also the owners are so sweet and friendly! They really care about their customers and you can tell how much love and passion go into their food. Please y'all give this place a try and I guarantee you'll be going back! I know my husband and I will definitely be going back every week because we are addicted to their tacos!“
“I was on my way to the sandwich shop next door to this place when a man stopped me and implored me to try the place next door because he said the food was amazing and they even do food prep for him. I had been thinking I'd try it and felt like the universe was giving me the go ahead. I had the special, which was a chicken al pastor empanada and the al pastor rice bowl. Both were fresh, well seasoned and yummy. I have been back since and find it to be affordable, truly good food. In a landscape in Ft Worth where a lot can be mediocre, this is a little gem.“
“Cortez is insanely good. Only stop here every few months though, as the food is extremely rich. Price is right, nice patio for dining during a beautiful day, and some incredible horchata. Definitely can't go wrong with anything on the menu.“
“Best birria tacos in dfw I had the quesadilla birria and man food quality was off the charts taste was on point to every fresh ingredients! Inside was really clean that place is well managed (Britney/owner) took really good care of us I'm definitely coming back in which it did, I came back and got more!!! The fresh waters are authentic we had watermelon, lemon and hibiscus it's worth the try!!!“
“Came here just this morning for a breakfast taco. Where they gave me a chorizo and bacon taco STUFFED with Pico, cheese, 3 EGGS and potatoes for $4.50.The food was incredible, the green sauce was delicious. Don't get me started with the fresh buttery flour tortilla. So so good. It was the best breakfast taco I've ever had. 10/10“
“From the service to quality everything was 5 stars. I came in early before they opened and even the lady at the counter was nice and welcomed me to sit down while the kitchen get ready. It’s located inside a convent store but I don’t think I would want them to be in a restaurant. It’s authentic!!!!“
“OMG this is the BEST SPOT! my son and I randomly stopped just to try a taco or two and we were BLOWN away!! Wanted to immediately go get more. Trust me, try it and you will be hooked. The flavor combinations were amazing!!!? I should have taken pictures before we devoured them ...Great job! We will be back for sure ?“
“Awesome service and very professional staff who knows how to make you feel comfortable and easy to deal with. Delicious ? food great flavor and well presented all in was a Awesome experience if in the area must try I guarantee that you won't be disappointed. Thanks again for your service Torchys Tacos ?“
“We were in Dallas for a funeral and needed to eat before the long drive back home. We mapped a few close restaurants with high ratings and ended up here. It was perfect, the tacos de pastor were impeccably flavored, the consistency of the corn tortilla was just right, and I opted for grilled onion instead of the standard chopped onion w/cilantro. The limes were fresh for squeezing, and the carne asada fries were warm, crunchy seasoned well with crema & an avocado sauce drizzle which gave them life. The woman at the register, probably the kindest woman on earth.10/10 would recommend!“
“I got 3 Barbacoa tacos, 3 pastor tacos and 3 Asada tacos and they were all great! Great amount of meat and the tortillas were good, not too soft or too hard. It also came with grilled onions, grilled 1/2 jalapeño and salt packets. You just made a customer and regular for life!“
“Tried Mail Tacos tonight, service was good don't need to wait outside for food since they give you a buzzer to take to your car. We had asada torta and it was good, beans and rice were good I wouldn't say the best I've had but they were good. My son had the asada burrito and he enjoyed it. All flavorable but in my opinion a bit pricy for what the food is. Green salsa is good, deff ask for it.“
“Their meat stands alone, which, for BBQ in Texas, is not something you find very frequently. (Most places I've visited as a BBQ lover, they hide the dryness of their meat with sauce.) The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, and the employees are good-hearted people.“
“I love the restaurant's open design and patio seating. It's a fantastic place to hang out for lunch or dinner. Their tacos are my absolute favorite, especially the pizza taco and the 72-hour ribs taco. They are simply amazing! And the magonada alcohol beverage is so addicting!“
“The fish tacos here are the best in Arlington. And it's all pretty affordable, too. I love the folks who work here, they have been so friendly on my visits.Kid-friendliness: There are always families with kids eating here when I go. It's 100% come as you are, friendly for kids and everyone.“
“Everything is very delicious, congratulations, but the tall cook or manager, I don't know what he is, is very arrogant with the employees, he has no humility and is very humble to the lady who is filling the stews, we give him serious attention.“
“First timer here. All the items we chose were delicious. From the mango margaritas, to the street style elotes. I had the fish tacos, my husband had the brisket tacos. Waitress was a sweetheart, atmosphere wonderful. Can't wait to come back. Thank you Macarena.“
“Their tacos and horchata are yummy! I tried their chorizo and bistek and both are delicious and juicy. Service was also fast for our group of 6 at night. Everyone enjoyed their food. They can also make the corn tacos crispy if you asked for it. It was only $18 for everything. Super affordable.“
“We went to JJ's Taco Shop on N. Tarrant and Davis Friday night. Oscar was our server and he did an amazing job. He was friendly and very attentive. We shared the Cowboy Sampler. The chicken quesadillas and Taquitos were good as well as the Queso. The Steak Skewers were a little tough, but they had good flavor. My friend got the Peach Margarita and said it was very good. We also tried the Elote Cup, it was great. The atmosphere is great, a little loud in the bar area, but they have a separate room in the back that may be a little quieter if you are looking for that. We will definitely be back, and ask for Oscar's section.“
“This place is not in the greatest part of town but the food here is amazing and the price is reasonable. Go for the Birria tacos! They have so many workers, so the service was extremely fast. I walked in and was greeted and seated immediately. Not shortly after, a waitress came to take our order. I knew exactly what I wanted so I ordered without hesitation. Food came out hot and fresh a few minutes later. The ambiance was joyful with Mexican music going on in the background. Overall, just a cool place to grab some authentic Mexican food!“
“The best taco's I think I've had in my life, unbelievable. A little on the small size for the price, 2 taco's that should be bigger, beans and slightly overcooked rice for over $20. I'll definitely go again at some point but in a different state and see how they are there.“
“Wow. We were blown away by how delicious this place was! First time here, and they have a lot of great options from tacos, burritos, nachos, fries with all the toppings too! They had many different meats from barbacoa, carnita, shrimp and more. The food was messy but I didn’t care because it was so flavorful and tasty! Each meal was more than $10 but you are given more than you can eat in one sitting! Fills you up for sure! Highly recommend!“
“I just tried this place out. The green queso is so good, 10/10, and worth itTacos were pricy, but when they came out, they were filled with a lot of meat. I got full off of 1 taco!I enjoyed the grilled chicken taco. I got one shrimp taco, but I prob won't order it again it had lots of breading I prefer grilled shrimp. My hubs got some tacos from the chalk board menu (I don't remember the name he said they were good. I'd visit again just for the queso lol ? the parking is really tight in the front but a lot nearby if u can find some around the other businesses.“
“Pupusas were amazing ! Decent size! Very fulfilling! Super Flavorful! Service was great!!! Was my 1st time going and the gentleman there even suggested other plates that I will definitely be trying in the future. Atmosphere was very clean and not so busy on this Tuesday lunch time! I ordered through phone call was able to pay through text msg/online link that was sent. Highly Recommend! Hard to find good pupusas and fairly priced around here. 3pupusas and a drink less then 12$ I recommend the Rajas and chicharron More then satisfied my cravings!!!“
“A little hole in the wall with great food. My husband came down for a work trip and ate here twice so when he brought me down I had to try it. He had the alambre and I had the birria tacos. Both are excellent. We will go back before leaving Ft Worth.“
“Tables need to be cleaned, many tables inside and outside, went during happy hour got three meals for a good price, too salty for my taste birria tacos are not bad at all the tortillas were good salsa was so spicy, horchata water was delicious. Wouldn’t mind stopping again.“
“Been by here several times so I had to stop on such a nice night on the bike. Ordered the 3 Quesa Tacos y Consume. They are excellent. Comes with 3 sauces. The only thing that would make this better is a Dos XX. Better than some others I had. Very moist and full of flavor. For a taco truck I mean trailer it's a good place. I will be back to try something else for sure.“
“Delicious, uncomplicated, and authentic. Amazingly bright and sharp flavors. Quick service and reasonable prices. The plates are on the smaller side but that just leaves room to devour a street taco or two. Trust, you're definitely gonna want to.“
“Love the food. Plenty of choices that you can mix and match. 1-2 tacos is a good personal order or 3-4 if you want to try more flavors. Food is really good.Parking: There's a parking lot in front, but the closer one's gets taken quick.“
“I’ve gotten the breakfast burrito, crispy tacos, pupusas, carne asada torta, and California burrito over several visits. Each time I’ve come the food has been great! I’ve brought my mom as well and she’s love it as well. The whole place is very clean and looks well maintained . I highly recommend this restaurant !“
“My family and I live within walking distance of this truck and passed by it everyday, we always noticed how busy they were and the smells In the air were AMAZING!We finally decided to try it out tonight on our walk and it did NOT disappoint! Good prices for nicely proportioned food.Their Queso is a MUST, incredibly gooey and made with real cheeses! This is now in our regular food rotation.“
“These Dawgs are big n tasty! I will definitely be back! My fiance got the chili Dawg and I had the big tex Dawg with the carne Asada! Delicious! Definitely fulfilling! Good flavor too! Sorry I have no pics! I couldn't wait to eat! Lol! Highly recommend!“
“Favorite birria quesatacos in Fort Worth ??? the birria ramen is fire too the pastor quesatacos are fire ? the salsas are fire geeeez every item on the menu is ? friendly customer service. The consomé is fire. Always buy extra red sauce and the habanero sauce ? don’t sleep ? on some good Mexican food.“
“Best place ever to come get your agua frescas I have been coming on a daily basis to get them aguas! I’m like hey how’s it going and talk to the lady at the window like I know her! The Gorditas, tacos, quesadillas, burritos and tortas are good. Gorditas made fresh and everything is “
“The food and service are always great here. They can customize the standard offerings if you ask to make it more to your liking. But the standard offerings are great as they are. The service is always fairly quick. When in the downtown FW area, we try to make a stop here. Try the chorizo in a quesadilla.“
“I love their super fries burrito it's hot fresh and so good. It has carne asada , French fries, cheese, sour cream and guac. sooo good! I've tried the rolled tacos too a handful of times they are hit or miss with the shell being fried too hard sometimes. And having a drive thru always gets my business with I have a toddler in the back who can't sit still to dine in!“
“HANDS DOWN, the best The AL pastor tacos I have had. You can tell they have mastered the technique and they don’t waiver from the traditional ways of cooking! Thank you so much - I will definitely be back, more than I can even admit online “
“I came to the review section right away after having these Birria Tacos guys… they are a freaking game changer, the tacos themselves are so good, the consomé is amazing, Janelli at the counter was a treat, she’s so nice, I went back to Janelli and asked for all the cooks name because I felt they deserved some credit as well, a special thanks to Martha, Elsa & Marabelle for cooking, I tell all my buddies that the Rusty Taco birria tacos are the best but out of all the locations no one does it like Hurst/Grapevine location, they truly make the Rusty Taco experience amazing, I will come back many more times!Parking: They had plenty enough parking, no need to feel like you can’t find a spot to enjoy a meal!“
“Oh my gosh! Amazing foooooood! Fresh and tasty. I feel like I just had one of those corden bleu dishes in an exotic restaurant. 20/10 thumbs up. I ordered a take out chicken CC. got asparagus and a fresh green salad for under $20.The manager/owner was so pleasant and offered me a courtesy soft drink while I waited for my order. I stepped outside to take a call, and she brought my order to me.“
“I’ve been wanting to review this place but I always forget because the food is so good that I end up eating everything before taking picture of it and of course I want to review them with pictures and everything! HahaThese are the best tacos you are ever gonna try, nobody sells the kind of tacos these guys sell. Very very unique in taste and everything, you’ll not regret it, I hope not! 10/10The first picture is the chicken fajita taco with rice and beans (spicy), the second picture are their flautas with rice and beans, and the third is al pastor taco, all of it amazing !“
