I discovered Laredo Taco Company many years ago when I would travel across the highways and byways of Texas selling oil and gas software twice a year in what we called our Waltzes Across Texas. My first love was the Picadillo or beef fajita tacos and the salsa bar. Today, my go to order is a carnitas bravas or potato and chorizo taco. With homemade flour tortillas. Yum! Don't be fooled. This isn't really a real Mexican or Tex-Mex restaurant. It's a gas station that happens to serve up some tacos. It's a Stripes, which has/had some affiliation with Valero stations. It's primarily a gas station here, with lots of coolers for beer, sodas, milk, coffee drinks, etc. They also have some limited fishing supplies, plenty of ice, and lots of parking. I've ordered here through Doordash three times so far, and the food is always delicious. Just had some pork and chicken tamales today, and they are yummy too. Smaller than I expected, but i appreciate less calories. Great prices and great delivery. Plan on stopping in at Speedway soon.
