“Our servers and food were awesome! My only drawback was the hostess. We had a reservation at 730 and arrived 7 minutes early. She said she wasn't going to seat us yet because it wasn't time.. so I get it. But then she waited until after 730 to "get the table ready" and seat us. Do it early, do it on time, but don't so it late. Especially when you're not flexible about reservations, in general.“
“Great new place to eat. My wife and I shared the Patacones appetizer then each had Pabellon Criollo for dinner. Both were really good. Our server was great, very helpful and when I asked him about Venezuela he told me about it and even shared pictures of some of his favorite places. Great experience for both of us.“
“This is my new go to fried cat fish and fry place. I cannot begin to tell you how good the food here is! I haven’t had fried catfish since I moved to Texas but I’m so glad my first time was here. It was perfectly seasoned and battered and the catfish inside was light and delicate. The fries are SO well seasoned too. I am obsessed.We also got the Mac and cheese hush puppies which were so delicious. They were huge, the size of tennis balls. I was expecting them to be hard but instead they were light, the cornbread batter was sweet and tasty and the Mac and cheese was soooo yummy.If you’re in downtown Pflugerville you definitely need to check this place out. We ordered the food to go and ate it at a brewery next door. It was so so good. Will be back again and will be buying the seasoning.“

The sign outside does not say The Watering Trough, so it was hard to find until I looked at the picture of the building.Kid-friendliness: Only three tables of people when we were there but we all had kids with us. Noon on a Sunday.Wheelchair accessibility: Our son is not in a wheelchair but has mobility issues and development delays, so I am always looking for places without stairs and wide open spaces between tables. The staff were patient while he ordered his own food and spoke to him kindly, rather than talking to me for him. I appreciate that so much!“

We had three orders it was so good and I wish I had some right this moment ???I had the Chicken Fettuccine Funghi, and it was the best fettuccine dish I’ve had in years. The portion was generous. I couldn’t finish my plate, but I took it to go and it tasted good the next day too. I just finished the leftovers matter of fact. My god I wish I had some more bc it was so good. ???My sister had the Italian sausage ravioli. I will say that while this was VERY delicious, the portion size seemed small. Though that could just be because ravioli in general is faster to eat that traditional noodles lol.My mom gets fully easily so she ordered a butter lettuce salad and a side of fettuccine. And even those a la carte orders were generous portions. Lettuce was definitely quality butter lettuce, though if you’re a dressing person I don’t think this is the salad for you. Nevertheless it was ALL delicious.For dessert we had the cheesecake and it was richhhhhhhhhhhh. I personally prefer not so rich cheesecakes but it was still very good and all three of us shared it.
