“Last of a dying breed... All of the other local places similar to this, went to the wayward from all the new Invaders to Texas. I've known this place and its owner for nearly two decades. Always the same great place, and always the same great people. I hope this place lasts forever.“
“We are new to the area and have found one of our favorite places! We always sit at the bar or cocktail and Cody is amazing! Food is incredible and service is perfect! Tonight, there was a small hiccup with our meal. I wouldn’t even call it a hiccup but Cody saw it and made it a big deal to make sure we were happy. We left happy….and very full. Can’t wait to go back!“
“Our server Chloé was terrific. We visited in order to watch the Final Four games. Chloé made sure we had a great view of the biggest screen. I had an espresso martini. It wasn't that good. The espresso flavor was weak. I also had the queso dip and that was okay. For dinner my boyfriend got a burger and fries. The fries had some strange seasoning that hadn't been mentioned on the menu. Needless to say they went uneaten. I had a grilled chicken caesar salad. The chicken was good but the caesar dressing was very thin and not very flavorful. Our server offered to exchange the salad for something else but I decided to just let it go. We were allowed to linger without pressured to order more stuff during the game. Chloé made sure our drinks were always topped off. She really was what made the visit comfortable. We will go back to Twin Peaks. I do recommend this location.Parking: There are several handicap spaces available.“
“Absolutely amazing. Discovered them by accident. Atmosphere is nice and clean. Staff so so hospitable. Hubby fell in love. Every bite is consistently delicious. I don't think they'd have anything on the menu that I wouldn't LOVE. So worth it!“
“Our waiter, Cody, blew us away by his exceptional service! The food was amazing! I had the scallops with asparagus risotto, and my husband had the Crusted chicken with cream cheese. Because it was our first time, the chef sent us a free dessert, and we chose the butter cake with ice cream and caramel sauce. We thought we'd died and gone to heaven. Highly recommend this place!“
“Gotta say we we're pleasantly surprised. Stopped in for lunch yesterday. I had the German dog, and it was excellent. My wife had the cheeseburger, and she really enjoyed it also. We will definitely be going back. The atmosphere is really cool and the bar is huge.“
“I love that some restaurants still respect and care for their customers and employees. My first time visiting and I have to say it was the best I e seen in a few years. The services is very much welcoming that makes you want to be a repeat visitor. Word of mouth is every nowadays and I could not stop talking about the Loco Asada Fries that we ate them 2 times in that day. And I have to admit I was surprised that in the evening everything was still fresh and hot. I love that. First time and I will definitely be back.“
“While visiting from South Texas. We decided to relax at our Air BnB and have our food delivered (especially after driving 6+hours) The Flying Saucer has a lot of excellent items to choose from. But, what really impressed me= was the EXCELLENT customer service. I had a few questions, and Nikki was so friendly and understanding. I definitely recommend the Flying Saucer.“

“First off I must say this is one of my favorite spots in lake highland, everytime I get off work I have to come over and enjoy a nice app or drink, the bartenders are always great. Ricky was my bartender this particular day and he gave me the best drink choices. He was so friendly and down to earth and I ended up spilling my whole life story to him. But that’s what happens when you build that connection with your customer. Excellent food, excellent service, and amazing drinks always! Oh yeah! The music is EVERYTHING!!! Love the diverse playlist, I was singing all evening. They just need to add karaoke here. I’ll be back for sure, as always!“
“Came here for a work group dinner. Our food was delicious! I got the dinner for two, which is two 6-oz filets and side of mashed potatoes and split that with a coworker. Only issue was my rare steak was considerably close medium/medium rare. But still was great!“
“This restaurant is by far the GREATEST establishment I have ever been to. I've been dining almost weekly for a solid year and have nothing but exceptional things to say. There are a handful of bartenders who I know by name that know exactly what I drink and eat the moment I walk in. The prices are typically fair and what is deemed as "expensive" is actually worth it. The day and brunch times are usually very busy but well managed. Even if you're NOT in the area, I HIGHLY recommend. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.“
“Original: I love this place, but the music has become obnoxiously loud. It makes waiting in the bar awful. The food is amazing and the servers are fantastic. I’ve been here about 10 times and this last time was nearly unbearably loud.Updated Review: Since I wrote the review, I have been back three times and the music has been far far better. The servers here are still fantastic and the food is great 5/5!“
“Looking for great food at a great price, a quiet casual dining room and great service, stop right here. Lunch service is always consistently great for me. The prices beat all others hands down. Fresh ingredients and so tasty. Chicken fried chicken, pork chops, chicken fried steak and steak tenderloin specials are all phenomenal and under $10 and it's amazing. Lots of great sides to choose from. House salad is romaine, worthwhile. Cinnamon apples and breads are housemade. Plenty of room for large parties.Parking: Need more handicap designated spots. 1 is not enough.“
“Visiting this Italian restaurant is a complete sensory experience, thanks to its unmatched attention to detail and exceptional service that makes you feel like part of the family. From the moment you enter, the warm and welcoming atmosphere invites you to relax and enjoy an authentic culinary experience. This being my second visit, I was delighted to find the same warmth and quality that had initially charmed me, reaffirming the consistent excellence of this establishment. The food, a feast of authentically Italian flavors, is simply exquisite. Each dish demonstrates the passion and care they put into their cooking, with spices perfectly balanced to enhance the natural flavors of fresh, high-quality ingredients. The desserts deserve special mention: they are unique, innovative, and deliciously irresistible, perfectly rounding off a memorable meal.It is evident that this restaurant strives not only to offer delicious food but also a complete culinary experience where every detail counts. The consistent quality and warm welcome invite you to return again and again. Highly recommended for those who appreciate fine dining and top-notch service.“
“This place is great! Bring earplugs! The constant noises emanating from the machines will definitely give you a headache that leads to you leaving before really getting your money's worth. The drinks are pricey with not many options even for non alcoholic drinks. Need to upgrade that situation. Otherwise the employees are super friendly and helpful.“
“Great food and really great prices for lunch. Great lunch specials. My partner and I each got the “2 roll showdown special”…..$10.95 each. Shown here is Spicy Tuna (it was good but the tuna was minced and not in pieces), Salmon Avocado (this was delicious and yes there were Salmon pieces), Spicy Crunchy Eel (sooo good with great eel sauce), Shrimp Tempura (very good). This special comes with edamame, miso soup and gyoza. These were all very good. Service is spotty but great most of the time.“
“Fun little neighborhood bar! Downtown Garland doesn't have a ton of options but if you're there, check this place out. Small hole in the wall that the locals love! They have decent food, great service and a DJ on the weekends. Only negative is that it closes way too early for a bar!“
“Let me just start by saying, wow! Our night at was simply amazing, all thanks to Tina, our incredible server. We rolled in with a big crew of 20 hungry folks, and Tina made sure every single one of us felt like VIPs.Not only did she handle our large group like a pro, but she did it with such warmth and genuine care. It felt like we were being taken care of by a friend rather than just a server. Tina anticipated our needs before we even knew we had them – from refilling drinks to bringing extra napkins, she was on top of it all.And let's talk about the food! It was like a flavor explosion in every bite. Fresh, tasty, and cooked to perfection. Whether you're a meat lover, veggie enthusiast, or somewhere in between, there's something on the menu for everyone. Plus, the portions were hearty, leaving no one at our table hungry.Oh, and did I mention the porch? What a gem! It's spacious enough for a big group like ours, and the atmosphere was just perfect for a laid-back evening with friends and family. When it was time to settle up, Tina made sure everything was split correctly, taking the hassle out of bill-paying. Her attention to detail was truly impressive.Overall, our experience was one for the books. If you're craving delicious food served with a side of top-notch service, do yourself a favor and pay Tina and the team a visit. You won't regret it! We'll definitely be back for more soon.“
“We like to go here on Thursday evenings to watch the music upstairs (Jerry Don Branch, great blues rock). Because the small upstairs bar area gets crowded early, we get there by 6 pm to get a seat for the ~7 pm show. We usually end up eating there as a result. The food is typical bar food. It's good for what it is (burgers, sandwiches, grilled chicken, salad, fries, onion rings, etc.). They have a decent variety of beer and drinks. The bar staff/waitstaff are very friendly, and though the crowd usually consists of the same group of people each time, they easily accept newcomers. To put it most simply, it's a fun place to spend a Thursday night if you like live music.“
“I've eaten at Chuy's in many cities, multiple states, lots of times. This is one of the best locations, and today I had a fantastic experience. The food is consistently good, and the entire staff was cheerful, helpful, and made the experience very enjoyable. I highly recommend it.“
“Amazing place to visit after a long day at work. Came to the Plano area on a business trip and had to check out the downtown area. This is the place the locals recommended to me, and I'm glad I listened. For a bar, the food was unexpectedly decent, and the best part was the good service, not having to wait long at all.“
“I've only been here a few times and mainly for karaoke night, but the owners are extremely friendly and seem to truly care about their clientale and welcome you back when you show up. The staff is the same way and very friendly and go out of their way to learn your name. There is a mixture of old and young here, and beside having a good food menu, there are darts and pool tables for fun and games, and an outside patio. The only downside is that it is not a "smoke-free" establishment, so when there is a large crowd, the smoke is quite noticable! But I would still come back again, just not frequently! The place is a lot bigger on the inside than it appears from outside as it is located in the corner of the shopping strip.“
“Love fish n tails, i've been coming here for years, it's my local go to. Food is great, bar drinks is great. The staff is amazing! always go above and beyond... the bartender who goes by "JJ" is always so great and very creative with his bar drinks... if you live in wylie come to fish n tails and ask for him... worth it!“
“I am perpetually disappointed with restaurant food because of its bland tastes. This place though - incredible!!! I had the Beef Santiago and the serving size was huge and the taste was beyond incredible. My daughter had a ham and chicken dish - once again the serving size was large and the taste hit every taste bud. We are headed back to South Dakota in two days but I hope to eat here again before we leave. Well done.“
“This rooftop bar is always nice to enjoy a meal at. The view is pretty. The last couple of times I have come, Noel has been my server and they’re always so nice! With drinks, he makes a really good jolly rancher variation that’s super yummy!“
“My local friend recommended Bar None as a great brunch place near the Dallas Arboretum. I brought my mom here on a Saturday morning on her birthday and the food and service didn't disappoint. We had the corned beef and hash, eggs, a waffle with strawberries and whipped cream and some mockmosas. There wasn't one thing that didn't blow us away. It was all so delicious. And our lovely server was just great. He was attentive, fun and knowledgeable. We left wanting to be his friend - especially since he was going to the Billy Joel concert (we sure hope he had a blast!). We left full and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon at the Dallas Arboretum.“
“Love the Rose! The people are great, the bartenders are the best, and they have some really good food! Smoking is allowed indoors, which can be offputting to some but is a welcoming sight among other bars when it's extremely hot or cold outside. I highly recommend visiting this place. Kevin is the best bartender!Kid-friendliness: Kids are not welcome at this location in the rose garden or inside. This is a bar, patrons must be 21 or older.Parking: Parking is allowed in the gravel parking lot or along Yeager street.“
“Food is consistently delicious and incredibly reasonably priced when considering the market. They have a great happy hour of $3 bottled domestic beers. Absolutely great place to go for a reasonably priced seafood place that has great taste. 10/10 would recommendWheelchair accessibility: Inside its very accessible however parking isn't super wheelchair friendly right out front. Staff was incredibly accommodating for a full size electric chair and their tables were perfect for my dad to easily roll up to and be close to the table“
“We were greeted warmly and the hostess knew instinctively what we needed. (I should have gotten her name). She had a great attitude and took care of our requests to settle us in. She cleaned the table for us and Alberto took care of our order after that. He was pleasant and attentive. The food was yummy. We will be back.“
“The food at this restaurant is outstanding! It’s a wonderful atmosphere and they really care about giving you a cultural experience from the ambiance/music to the traditional coffee ceremony. The employees are so kind and offered great recommendations.I highly recommend shawley if you enjoy traditional Eritrean/Ethiopian food or if you’re looking for delicious vegetarian/vegan options“
“This restaurant is a neighborhood restaurant. For some people you could actually walk to it like I did. Their menu has simple variety of good tasting dishes and few that are not that great. Prices are not bad. Try it out and find which plates are good and which ones not so good.“
“My band, Otherwise Dead, played here and we loved the venue and the staff! Our fans were happy with everything from the video and sound being superb (TY Keaton ?) to the drinks and food from the bar (TY Josh and everyone else). This place is the top venue in dfw under 500 capacity for a reason, amazing time!Parking: Easy parking“
“I went on a Saturday to watch football with family and friends. THEY HAVE A FOOD TRUCK CALLED “Rooster Roo” IT IS AMAZING. Hot chicken that is cooked to order. The area was family and kid friendly. Will definitely be back for the vibe and ROOSTER “
“Hadn't stop by in a year or so as just too smoky for us. When out and about we decided to stop for a quick cocktail and some Draggle drop. Service is always the best here nice pours and friendly bartender. We were early so not too smoky.“
“We love going here to chill out and listen to some tunes. The water creates a peaceful environment. The staff is attentive, friendly, and polite. The bathroom is always clean even though it's located in an area where many people frequent. The food is okay, and the drinks are strong. Megan The bartender is friendly and aware when anyone needs a new drink. I would recommend this place. It is always nice to see the children feed the fish, ducks, and turtles in the water as well. The pics are of an amazing singer, Scott Sean White. We fell in love with him when we heard him.“
“We had a very nice time at Jazz TX. We had a few drinks, enjoyed a meal, and the band was good. We even got in a few dances. I hope to come back a little more regular. The bartender is not a craft bartender so don’t expect fancy drinks. Stay as basic as possible. I had the nachos with everything and wished I had stuck with just chicken would have been better for me than beef and chicken. My husband enjoyed his sandwich and onion rings. The food is decent bar food. Again, don’t expect anything fancy. You’re bound to have a good time. Also, there are many people that come here on a regular basis.“
“Typically I love this place, but very disappointed with tonight's visit. Service was slow, chicken was chewy, order was incorrectly entered, fries were cold and had to seek people multiple times out to get help, Since I know they do better, I will be back, but if this was my first time...I wouldn't bother.“
“The pork chashu and egg in the ramen is amazing, by far the highest quality pork and egg of any ramen place i've had. The ramen pork broth could be a bit more flavorful to be like authentic japanese style but was still good, the karaage is very tasty. No real service, self serve with ipads at the front, and a bit pricey for the meal. Love the spice options for the miso ramen, very tasty!“
“Edited for July 3, 2023..Stopped by tonight not remembering there were fireworks shows in the area. Bar was packed with lots of folks just ordering Waters... Still, it was like the staff wasn't prepared. Only one of the usual bartenders, and a couple of hard-working waitresses. But there were a couple of guys behind the bar that you could tell where only upper management trying to fill in with no clue what they were doing. I ordered some to-go food, and the order was messed up and missing some items. I have the brisket tacos and head asked for brussels sprouts, but they miss that and put in chips. The chips were extremely stale. This place seems to be going downhill as some of the original staff are not there anymore.Stopped by tonight for beverage. Felt it might have been a little overpriced for a double bourbon, but the friendly bartender made it worth it. Wish I could remember her name.“
