“This is a nice little hole in the wall club. They have some pool tables in the back, a smoking patio up front and internet juke box, although you will need to log in to their wifi as there is ZERO internet signal inside. The interior is fairly dark, which can be helpful for some people and the people working here are very friendly. The drinks are priced fairly but with a very limited selection.“
“We stopped by for lunch with our granddaughter during the week and had a super satisfying lunch. So much, we decided to order it for a birthday dinner, to go, the following weekend. We all shared each others meals and everything was superb. The kids meals have to be some of the best tasting kids meals we’ve ever had. We recommend the macaroni and cheese or grilled cheese. The boiled seafood was excellent! Crab cakes were crisp on the outside and super soft in the middle, perfect. Fried gator was tender and delicious. The gumbo was really tasty! Loved the jalapeno cornbread and hush puppies. Catfish filets were cooked perfectly! All of the seafood was super fresh. Definitely will be returning!“
“Hung out the Saturday before St. Patrick's day and the weather was a little chilly. Doors weren't open, but it's a cool feature during the summer. The DJ was a little loud for the space, but no one seemed to mind. Waitress was attentive and training at the same time. There is a pool table and a good view of the square and water. Fun space.“
“We opted to have lunch at The Oar House with a business lunch in mind on a Friday and wanted a place that would not be loud and intrusive. It had been years since I had visited, but I was still hopeful for a good lunch, excellent service, and an atmosphere to be relaxed. We were not disappointed. Before we selected a place to eat, we all looked at online menus to get an idea of what sounded good to everyone. The pricing is not what made our decisions, but it should be noted that the menu you are handed in the restaurant has a few items with higher pricing than the online menu. I would recommend they correct that for transparency's sake. This meal alone was $19, more expensive than the online menu. I am not complaining, but that's an extra lunch entrée at additional costs.Now, I got lost in conversation and did not get nearly enough photos, but did grab a few here and there. When we arrived at 11:45 am, the parking lot had only a few cars. Lunch service runs from 11 am to 2 pm, and they close again until dinner. When we walked in, two of my business partners and one of their wives and I were greeted warmly and guided to our table. The place was clean and well-lit but not bright, which is always a plus. The decorations seemed well maintained, the ones we noticed. I was reminded of all the many trips here in the past as the rustic interior welcomed us in. The little touches like stained glass windows and old world style feel made the place feel like we were no longer in little ol Rockwall.Our server took our orders for drinks promptly, and we opted for a few appetizers to share. We ordered the Funghetti Ripieni, bruschetta, and Cozze al Vino Bianco. Bread and butter were served at the table as well. We ordered Spezzatino di Manzo, Suprema Al Ferro, Caeser con Pollo, Ravioli Di Formaggio, and lobster bisque for lunch.Overall the meal and the experience was amazing. The food was great, and the atmosphere was very inviting. I love the old, cozy feel of the place. It feels like you are in a comfortable, warm place with an appealing atmosphere. The server, Ryan, was terrific. We felt like the only people in the place the entire meal. Even though there were a few other people there, the service was top-notch. The Oar House will stay in my rotation of places for a while. They continue to impress and provide great food and service; with a few tweaks, they will be just that much better. We over stayed our welcome and got lost in conversation. We looked up and it was well past 2pm, and they had already shut down. They were patiently waiting on us and never interrupted our conversation one time. We apologized for keeping them past 2pm, and they were very kind. They kindly said, not a problem at all. Happy you enjoyed your time. Come see us again. I can say that I will continue to go and will keep them in the rotation for sure.“

He took one of his best employees, and took her best paying shift away, at the same time inconveniencing another regular customer and I. But, what really impressed me= was the EXCELLENT customer service. I had a few questions, and Nikki was so friendly and understanding. I definitely recommend the Flying Saucer.“
“Met one of the owners. She is so sweet and seems so passionate about her establishment. The shots are AMAZING so you’ll definitely want to try. The slushies are great as well and were the main star. The amount you’re getting for the price you pay I think is a really great deal. They also have rewards account so that’s a bonus. Very good flavors and they were quick!“
“This restaurant is by far the GREATEST establishment I have ever been to. I've been dining almost weekly for a solid year and have nothing but exceptional things to say. There are a handful of bartenders who I know by name that know exactly what I drink and eat the moment I walk in. The prices are typically fair and what is deemed as "expensive" is actually worth it. The day and brunch times are usually very busy but well managed. Even if you're NOT in the area, I HIGHLY recommend. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.“

Smoking is allowed indoors, which can be offputting to some but is a welcoming sight among other bars when it's extremely hot or cold outside. I highly recommend visiting this place. Kevin is the best bartender!Kid-friendliness: Kids are not welcome at this location in the rose garden or inside. This is a bar, patrons must be 21 or older.Parking: Parking is allowed in the gravel parking lot or along Yeager street.“
“We love going here to chill out and listen to some tunes. The water creates a peaceful environment. The staff is attentive, friendly, and polite. The bathroom is always clean even though it's located in an area where many people frequent. The food is okay, and the drinks are strong. Megan The bartender is friendly and aware when anyone needs a new drink. I would recommend this place. It is always nice to see the children feed the fish, ducks, and turtles in the water as well. The pics are of an amazing singer, Scott Sean White. We fell in love with him when we heard him.“

“Edited for July 3, 2023..Stopped by tonight not remembering there were fireworks shows in the area. Bar was packed with lots of folks just ordering Waters... Still, it was like the staff wasn't prepared. Only one of the usual bartenders, and a couple of hard-working waitresses. But there were a couple of guys behind the bar that you could tell where only upper management trying to fill in with no clue what they were doing. I ordered some to-go food, and the order was messed up and missing some items. I have the brisket tacos and head asked for brussels sprouts, but they miss that and put in chips. The chips were extremely stale. This place seems to be going downhill as some of the original staff are not there anymore.Stopped by tonight for beverage. Felt it might have been a little overpriced for a double bourbon, but the friendly bartender made it worth it. Wish I could remember her name.“
“2 PC fish and 3 shrimp basket. Cooked better than previous visit. Crispier which I like. Hush puppies ok, not much flavor but the white sauce improves everything. I expected cocktail sauce and only received ketchup and white sauces. The white isn't tartar sauce just something else like ranch ish sauce. The shrimp were butterflied and thus flat. Ate with the ketchup. Plenty of variety of hot sauces on the table I choose Louisiana hot for fish, it takes away muddy flavors in catfish. There were at least 5 other brands on the table. 5 star if there was cocktail sauce. The basket definitely filled me up. The price was acceptable at $12 ish with a fountain drink.“

“We are new to the area and have found one of our favorite places! We always sit at the bar or cocktail and Cody is amazing! Food is incredible and service is perfect! Tonight, there was a small hiccup with our meal. I wouldn’t even call it a hiccup but Cody saw it and made it a big deal to make sure we were happy. We left happy….and very full. Can’t wait to go back!“
