Ive been going here regularly for over a year now and it’s the top taco and barbacoa spot in town. I always have a good day if I get to eat here. The staff is so nice and helpful and it’s so consistent.
I recommend Mimi's for their barbacoa. The "All Meat" is tender, flavorful and not greasy like other places. The price is a bit high but worth it. I don't recommend the tamales though. This was the second time getting them and were soggy having a higher masa to meat ratio. They are kept in a plastic bag which is probably why they're soggy. Best Barbacoa in town!! And the staff and owner are awesome!! Super friendly service, great food, and overall just a great vibe. This little Barbacoa restaurant is the best in San Antonio!! Go early to avoid the constant traffic. And so they don’t run out before you get that mouth watering barbacoa!!
