I read Shaunda's post on the San Antonio Restaurant Facebook page and we headed over to try @puropanjaz Panamanian cuisine. It's a stone's throw from Toyota Field and Morgan's Wonderland, inside the convenience store at the Chevron gas station. Shaunda grew up cooking with grandma, a Panamanian-Jamaican influence. It was exciting to find a Panamanian restaurant in the city. Tucked inside a gas station this place is a great find, particularly before or after an SAFC soccer game! I had the ceviche and it was delicious!! The kids had chicken fried rice. The servings were very generous so plenty to share. The owner was great and kept us posted on our order.
