First time eating here, even though I've lived minutes away my whole life. The food was great, prices were cheap. Service was fast.One of the first places Ive seen combination plates that contained no sides, and just entree items. Was great, ordered a 2 enchiladas, 2 puffy taco plate & a drink and it cost me $10. Food came out in just a few minutes. The carne guusada was delicious. The barbacoa was juicy. The potato and egg were very good. The chorizo and egg was not my cup of tea but the menudo was perfect. Highly recommend this place and I drove from New Braunfels Texas 45 miles to try this restaurant

Close as it is, I have always passed up this place based on appearance. A little recent sprucing up on the exterior made me take notice. Don’t judge a book by its cover because the food is amazing. We had the Guisada plate and the Crispy taco and enchiladas plate. Excellent. I think the prices were a little higher than other restaurants, in the area, but it appeared they have some specials that may help with that.
