“Grading the food is an opinion of every and each of one of us. In my opinion, I had the breaded fish and shrimp, and I didn't like it. I had to remove the crusty part and dig the shrimp out.Don't get me wrong, like I said, it's my opinion. Most of my family did like it. So it depends. Will I eat there again? Of course, to try something else. Good place, clean, service so nice. ?“

“Battered fish lovers, this is for you! Unlike many restaurants, the fish here is consistently tender and flaky, and if you are dining in, you don't have to wait around the counter to pickup your food when it's ready. They will bring it to your table. That's well above most fast food restaurants, excellent maybe, Chick-fil-A. I can't vouch for other food items though.“

“This amazing local food chain never disappoints!I’ve visited all their locations and they all have different menus, and everyone of them are amazing!Run don’t walk to any Blanquitas near you!The service is great, the parking is fine, you may wait a few mins, but it’s worth it.“

“El restaurante de la 802 tiene un excelente servicio, una comida muy rica pero unas mesas horribles! Me consta que las limpian pero están súper pegajosas y eso no hace que sea muy placentero comer ahí ☹️“

“This is a true South Texas restaurant located in Harlingen, TX. I enjoyed everything I ate. I had the pork chop with eggs. I liked that they grilled the chop. It came with refried beans, potatoes, salsa, and tortillas. The portions are perfect for the price. I liked it was busy, gave it a vibe, and the staff was super friendly and great service. Thank you El Rancho.“

“Love this place. Have been going for a few years now. Love the fact that I can pick & choose what I want to add to my ceviche. I love the traditional, but my husband loves the island. His has mango. Always get the combo ,fish and shrimp. Love that it is not fishy. Will surely go back.Service can be slow, but I blame the customers. Some don't know what they want or add extras after the fact.“

“Fun, Mexican-Seafood diner with a flair for all things from our neighbors south of the border. The menu is primarily written in Spanish, but includes pictures so you'll know what the items are.I had a sampler platter, which has fish filets, refined beans, French fries, assorted vegetables and a shrimp cocktail. Great value and fills you up.Beer is sold, but only in bottles. If you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary, the servers will sing for your table along with a small dance number. Very cheerful. The place seems to be popular with the locals.“

“Food was very good. Waiters very nice and friendly. We go in once or twice a week. The manager stands around , never acknowledges . She seems to be aloof. She acts like she doesn’t want to be in restaurant.“

“This is hands down my favorite place in Harlingen for Chinese food. I have had several other places, but this spot and the other one close by it is awesome...the people here are very nice, and the food is good. They call to remind you about your order if you call in an order, and they are generally always friendly.“

“Older restaurant is doing it right! They have no nonsense, honest to goodness, fish and shrimp plates to die for. Fried but not so fried that you taste the bottom of the pan, this is a legitimate threat to other seafood restaurants in the area. They have this down to an art and science. Along with this, they have some of the biggest glasses of sweet tea to order. Then, once you are done, you can ask for a to-go cup to take your drink with you. Previous encounters, they refilled the cup with tea, but alas, that has gone away. This writer is able to overlook this and give the restaurant a five star rating based on the food, the atmosphere (we had a genuine corrida in the middle of eating), and the service.Parking: Right off of 77 Sunshine Strip between Harlingen and San Benito, near the city limits sign.“
