“A/c was on and cold, Astros game on tv, beer came fast and cold and after the dominoes guy showed up the bartender told us help ourselves to some pizza. It was reminiscent of times when more people were friendly. I didn't have to touch anyone or put myself at risk to enjoy my time there. Nice.“

“I really enjoy going to a Mexican restaurant that has more options than the usual stuff.If you are ever in Kemah or in that area, I would highly recommend the spot.Last year, when I went on a cruise, I stayed at the hotel next door and tried this restaurant because they had vegetarian options and I happen to be a vegetarian.I was not disappointed in the least and that's why I made sure to stay at the same hotel this year so I could walk over in the morning and get some tacos before going on the cruise.Not a very big place but the food is awesome.“

“I go to Katie's for the music. I did in on open mic nights and jam. They almost always have to notch local and regional band. The food is primarily bar pizza but it's not too bad. They just started having steak night on Wednesday's. Definitely worth going for steaks cooked to order by my friend Denby. You get Angus steak, potatoe, side and salad for $25. My wife and I can split 1 and it's plenty. The bar and wait staff are the best. Drinks are reasonably priced and consistent.“

“I love coming here! They have great food, pizzas are killer. The staff is wonderful and the inside is pretty cool. They have an outside seating area as well. We always come in a boat and tie up and then go get lunch, or on Sundays we go in and have brunch, which is my favorite. I would and have suggested this to many people. They also have a large beer selection.Parking: You can also dock your boat up for lunch or dinner.“

“Always a great food experience. I have many food allergies and intolerances, and they take very good care of me. If you need modifications, it helps to come early or late, not at rush. Fun atmosphere (plenty of tv screens at every angle) and friendly environment. “I visited a few times before adding a review. The best part of Craft 96 is the consistency. The service is consistently fast, friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is consistently clean, including the restrooms. The beer is consistently great with a nice variety of flavors and styles. The food is consistently delicious. Whether it's a salad and a cream ale, a bowl of mac and cheese and a porter or a sandwich and a stout, they have what you want to eat and drink and they'll serve it with a great attitude and a smile and when it arrives it'll be hot and fresh. This is an A+ 5 star spot that I will continue to patronize.“

“Great little joint. Hard to tell it’s a few blocks from the Gulf of Mexico. The bar is populated by a crew of hard-core regulars who know each other very well. Athena, the day bartender, messes with them while slinging beers and drinks effortlessly with efficiency and a little good-natured sass. The reason being is because of its employees.Most of the customers are locals and have been going there since the beginning. “We always loved the service Drew gave us at our local Chili's and when he told us that he started working part-time at The Monkey Bar we thought that we would give it a try. We really didn't know what kind of place it was, Monkey Bar says Bar, but we wanted to try something different. We were actually surprised when we walked into this quaint little hangout with lots of friendly locals who were more than happy to welcome us. The staff, even the owner, were attentive to every customers needs. At first we were concerned about the cigarette smoke, but it didn't take long to notice that they have an excellent circulation system that keeps the air clean so I didn't even notice! You can order a variety of appetizers and other dishes for lunch and dinner but decided on some pretty good boudin egg rolls and some cold beers while we shot a few games of pool. We enjoyed our first visit and plan on going back to try something from the lunch or dinner selection soon.“

“I reserved the Emmitte Room to host a surprise 50th anniversary party for my parents. I live overseas and worked with Doug to plan the party from 8000 miles away without every stepping foot in the restaurant or seeing the Emmitte Room in real life until the day before the event. Doug was so great to work with! He not only executed the party flawlessly, but he helped to ensure that my anxiety was kept at bay. Brandice was the lead server the evening of the party and she was the ultimate professional and added so much value to an already amazing evening! Thank you to Doug, Brandice and the rest of the team for helping me to pull this off. I couldn’t have done it without you all. (The room was stunning and the food was out of this world!)“

“It’s a nice locally owned, come as you are bar. Places like this are getting harder to find nowadays. When they have music on the back patio and the outside bar open, it’s nice, overlooks the bayou. Lots of wildlife. If you want more action go inside. Usually a local band or DJ and almost always folks dancing. Drink prices are some of the best around“

“I loved this place it was my 62nd birthday and Mr Bob the owner was so nice to me after I got done doing karaoke he took me in the office he gave me two hats a pair of panties and a tank top that had kats place on it and wished me a happy birthday me and my friend I never had so much fun in my life I met such wonderful people and I met a lot and I had the best time of my life and my 62nd birthday I was going to go up there for Valentine's Day and I just noticed they were close down it absolutely broke my heart ?“

“This restaurant always has a light and cheerful atmosphere. Affordable food and drinks. We usually get the Jessica's plate to split. It's enough food and reasonably priced. We also enjoy a couple of peach margaritas WITH EXTRA PEACH. We typically dine for under $30. I have also had the shredded chicken taco salad and several of the shrimp plates. I do not know if smoking is allowed here. I have never seen anyone smoking nor have I smelled smoke other than the sizzling fajitas of course. I am allergic to smoke. Another reason we continue to frequent this establishment. We dine here at least once a week, sometimes twice a week. This place is a regular stop. Look for me. I will probably be there.“
