“I am truly disappointed.....I just discovered this place! It is a hidden gem. Who would have thought a restaurant of this caliber would be located in a strip center with a Target. It is a MUST if you are a true sushi lover. From the moment my husband and I stepped in the door we were impressed. Then we saw the menu. Sadly we were not able to order everything off the menu, but we did try. Our server, Alex, was on point. He answered all questions without hesitation and was extremely helpful with suggestions based on what we like and what we don't like. If you're a Food Snob, like myself, you'll appreciate the quality, and presentation of the food. As far as the drinks, The Lychee Martini! That's all I need to say about that. This place is simply OUTSTANDING and we're very fortunate to have such an establishment in our neighborhood. I was able to speak with the manager, Jaros about our wonderful experience and expressed our joy of finding it. He was extremely friendly and it was obvious why the establishment, along with the employees, is top notch! Great manager = great employees. “We come here about once a week and always have a great experience. This time we got spicy Edamame (it's more of a spicy, sweet. VERY good) Gyoza/ Japanese Dumplings, Pork Egg rolls, Orange chicken, (cooked not spicy) and General TSO chicken. Everything has great flavor and is cooked perfectly! The atmosphere is also nice with lots of details in the restaurant including a large TV on the wall. Love coming here!“
“My mother and I are the only two people in our family who are big on sushi. Unfortunately, our previously preferred sushi place did not survive the pandemic. And she has moved , so we have been looking in a different area to find some place that suits us both.Originally, we were looking at a popular chain, but Fujiya popped up on my search, so we figured we'd check it out.Extremely charming interior! We very much had fun looking at the parasols on the ceiling.We both wanted a little something to drink. My hot sake was tasty, but mom had a little bit of trouble with the house cab. Staff quickly fixed the situation, however.Annoyingly enough, I have a sesame allergy. This is difficult for many sushi restaurants, but I truly do enjoy sushi, so I still try. They were incredibly gracious about it and willing to work with me.Our waitress was attentive and kind.We started off with some spicy edamame and spring rolls, delicious.And then we moved on to sushi.My mother had the Spiderman roll, and I tried the black angel and the kiss of fire.Spectacular.My mother ended up stealing a third of my black angel roll. I come here often, so the reason for 4 star review and not 5, is that sometimes the nigiris have a bit more rice than desired Vs the fish on top, but sometimes they are just perfect.It's best to go with 4 to 6 peoplo so you can order a bit of everything on the menu, so that you try different rolls and different things. “Went there around Homecoming time on a Saturday evening. My husband and I were waiting for my younger daughter, who was having ice cream nearby with friends. We had our little dog on a leash with us and spontaneously decided to grab some dinner while waiting. We saw some outdoor seating at Shogun, so we asked if it was ok if we ate out there with our dog. They were kind enough to oblige. Despite it being very busy with Homecoming crowds of teenagers, the service was quite prompt and courteous. Someone from the staff (? Maybe owner or manager) even brought out a little paper bowl for us to pour water in for our puppy. Food was very good. We enjoyed the experience. We will definitely be back!“
“I took my mom on a date and the food was so good! It was our first experience of the place, I had the duck with a pu pu platter and it was scrumptious. It was a bit cold though but I still enjoyed the food and service. When I asked for a drink they made me a special in-house beverage according to what I liked. I loved exactly what they made for me and my mom and it was such a joyous experience. Carter was our server and she did such an excellent job and gave us great service. I'll be returning for my birthday in a couple of months for sure, I might go sooner though we'll see haha ?“
“This place has got it all from build your own Mongolian Stir-Fry to Vietnamese Food. I order my Viet food through takeout and I find their prices to be somewhat more reasonable than the other Vietnamese restaurant across the street, yet the quality of food is just as good! Good place to sit down with family and catch up, they have an assortment of beers and good atmosphere. Not to mention the people working there are extremely kind and humble, never once have they messed up my to go order.“
