“This place is a "HiddenGem!" I've been going to Rockport TX on the coast for years and always go through the town of Sinton. Coming from San Antonio, I'm usually hungry and pass the town in a hurry to get to Rockport to get something to eat before I go fishing. I saw this place and took a chance because I couldn't wait to eat. All I can say is it's an amazing Country Buffet! The building is deceptive from the front because it's Huge inside! It has all the food Mom or Grandma would make to include desserts, salad bar, and bottomless drinks. They even have the soft ice cream machine that you can pair up with your apple or peach cobbler, or at least that's what I do.The staff are very friendly as well. I'm telling you, if you're heading to Rockport TX and the wife kids are getting restless and hungry, this is a great place to take a break and get some Real Comfort Food that has something for everyone!Vegetarian options: Salad Bar is decent, along with cooked veggies on the Buffet“
“My wife and I stopped in for lunch as we're just passing through and were pleasantly surprised. The chicken fried chicken was one of the most flavorful pieces I've had in years and the salad bar was fantastic. The waitstaff was as friendly as one could imagine in a small town and we appreciated it.“
“We were recommended this restaurant by the guy that loaded us at our pick up at Herc rentals in Corpus Christi. We are truck drivers and like to find local spots when we are on the road. There was plenty of room to park out of the way.First off the server was SOOOO friendly and attentive. Can't believe I forgot her name, I meant to post this sooner. She bumped this trip to 5 stars even though we were disappointed by the onion rings. Perhaps the oil wasn't hot enough, she let the kitchen know they weren't up to par. Also the sprite was on point with syrup and carbonation (I know that's a silly thing to point out, but it really hit the spot lol, she said one of the kitchen guys had fixed it when he came in that day)The fish and sides were fantastic though, and my husband enjoyed the crab cake. The chili carrots were surprisingly good and even better the next day after they accidentally got mixed up with the broccoli slaw.“
“I’m from Minnesota and was vacationing in SPI, TX. Being a Navy veteran and having served in Kingsville had an opportunity to meet an old Navy friend from Houston. Picked this place because of the reviews and both of us were very impressed with the food and service. We both drove 3hrs and I’d definitely do it again just for the food. The waitress explained how everything was made scratch and that knowing how things are made is just as important as bringing your food. Wish I could eat like a horse and try everything. Definitely make it on my list next time I’m in Texas!!!“
