“I love the food here most of the time. Matter of fact I would eat here every time I go fishing if it was not for the weekend brunch menu. The only thing keeping this place from 5 stars is how they handle their brunch. Is their brunch menu on the weekend is over priced and the food is average at best. I will spend just as much at breakfast as I do on lunch or dinner but unlike there other meals the food for brunch is bland and the portions small. During their brunch times they do not offer there normal menu. Because of this I will only eat at this location when they are offering their normal items. Now, their normal menu is out of this world. I have tried almost everything, and it is all good. My favorites are the Seared Tuna, Island Boy Burger (sounds weird but try it, it will not disappoint), and the Shrimp Etouffee. Also, you have to try the Anchor Balls. They also have a nice selection of beer. I just wish they would have a standard Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner hours and menus.“
“Awesome place! We were looking for a place to eat after getting into Aransas Pass for the weekend. We came here based off of reviews and we weren’t disappointed! Food was amazing, the service was great, and the views were beautiful! We will definitely be back.“
“They have MOVED to a new location:3714 Fm 1069, Arkansas Pass, TX 78336In front of Kickin’ Back RV ParkPizza was Excellent and the hospitality was impeccable. We had a mistake with our order and they did not hesitate to make it right immediately. Down to earth, good people running this place.“
“Food, service, atmosphere - 10 out of freaking 10. I write a food column for my local paper, grabbed a last min reservation for Gabriela's as I swung into town for date night. We live on a ranch about 20 min out so this is our "destination dinner" for date night. Everything was so well thought out from the glassware, atmosphere, specials to the arrangement of the dishes. I don't think you can go wrong (unless you have an underdeveloped palette where true and intense flavor leave you overwhelmed) Love the choice of cab for wine by the glass. Loved the glass even more. Can't wait to come back!“
“Although the food here is good and we like it, we were shocked on our last visit overhearing two veterans talking behind us, and truly enjoying a very deep and intimate conversation about their service…when the owner of this restaurant came to their table and said that they’d been there long enough and they needed to leave to make room for their lunch crowd! Wow…. It made us think twice about returning. We support our vets ????“
“Just got into Port A last night and was driving down the road looking for a place to get dinner. We saw a full parking lot and took that as a good sign. We didn't have a reservation but we're able to get a table anyway. Emily F. was our server. She was great! Personable, knowledgeable and attentive. She literally ran us down in the parking lot after we left because my husband forgot his credit card at the table. We both got the Pasta Acadiana. Mine with shrimp and my husband's with chicken. They were both tasty and plentiful. We took home our leftovers and had them for lunch today and it was still excellent!Thank you Emily for providing excellent service. I'm sure that we will dine there again before we leave the island.“
“Fun place! Greeted when we arrived (love that-thank you:). Service was amazing, food was great and even Coach came out to check to make sure my fries weren’t too salty! Who does that anymore? You are amazing Roxy and Cindy & Randy from Corpus will be back soon! Thank you! Thank you! Highly recommend❤️Ps. Great tea! (and I’m a tea snob)“
“Holy cow best breakfast burrito I've eaten on the island, definitely get chorizo as your meat choice. Cooked perfectly with crunchy hashbrowns and toasted with cojita cheese on the outside to give it that perfect texture. Husband got the super bowl and said it was fabulous too...definitely try Coaches hot sauce, you'll love it!!“
“One of our favorite bars in Port Aransas! Rose the daytime bartender is efficient and remembers what you like when we show up. Only had a pizza there but it was delicious! Lots of atmosphere! Only has beer and wine, no mixed drinks. Sangria on tap. Winter Texan was my husband's favorite craft beer on tap!“
“10/5. Best seafood I have ever had and I've had plenty. Friendly staff, great chefs. We eat here more than once every time we vacation in the area. Scallops over risotto is great. My husband loves the seafood Mac & Cheese. Great ambiance.“
“Harlee was my server, and did a fantastic job. Very attentive and the place was standing room only. Tables were bussed quickly, and people were seated quickly. The food was absolutely perfect. I built my own omelet, pepper jack cheese, chorizo, green pepper, onion, and a hand full of Jalapeño. The hash browns were burned up crispy as requested with a side of buttered toast. My compliments to the cook, couldn't have done it better myself. Very reasonable, excellent variety on the menu. Keep up the great work, and loved the homey "Mom and Pop" atmosphere.“
“Everything about this restaurant is excellent. The food is amazing - everything on the menu is homemade from the Caesar dressing to the sauces and pizza doughs. The service is impeccable. You feel like you're part of their family when you walk in the door. If I lived in Rockport, I'd make this a weekly visit. I will definitely come back every time I come to town now!“
“We gave pasted this hidden gem for the past few years we've been coming down here, my advice DON'T PASSUP THE CHANCE TO EAT HERE!!! Food was incredible, atmosphere is great, and the service was on point!! It's been here for 46 years for a reason!!“
“Dining at Roosevelt's in Port Aransas was an experience that far exceeded our expectations, marking a memorable evening for my family and me. From the moment we were greeted by our waiter, Tommy, whose service was nothing short of exceptional, we knew we were in for a treat. The calamari, a dish we often enjoy, was so delightful that we couldn't resist ordering a second serving. It was cooked to perfection, offering a balance of textures and flavors that left us craving more. The attention to detail in every dish was evident, with each bite transporting us to a culinary paradise. My daughter was enamored with the ice cream, which, in her words, was the perfect ending to her meal. Meanwhile, my wife's seafood medley pasta dish was a masterpiece of tastes and aromas, seamlessly blending the freshness of the ocean with the warmth of home-cooked pasta. It was, as she described, "off the charts."As for my filet mignon, it was flawlessly prepared, melting in my mouth with each savory bite. The quality of the meat and the skillful preparation made it clear why Roosevelt's has earned its reputation. In summary, our dinner at Roosevelt's was an unforgettable experience, thanks to the exquisite food, outstanding service from Tommy, and the warm, inviting atmosphere. It's a gem in Port Aransas that we can't wait to return to. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and visit Roosevelt's. You won't be disappointed.“
“We celebrated my neices bridal shower here, and I will absolutely be back! Nick and our servers were above top notch! The food was amazing....loaded waffle fried, chicken fettuccine and 'our' version of bottomless mimosas! Ha! Thanks again for an unforgettable afternoon! Off to Whiskey Palm! ??“
“We did have a large crew late last night needing dinner. Headed to Marker 12 where it was mention that kitchen just closed but owner Jayce was so nice and open back up for us. All the food was AMAZING: Fried fish and shrimp, Mega Chicken wings and wonderful Micheladas. Staff was awesome.“
“Great experience. . Have been coming to stingrays since they opened. Waaay back in the day. Tonight my husband and I went in. James the bartender. Made the best margarita that I have had In A long time. And the best in port a . Regular size. Regular pour . Just really great balance. Ordered wings.. naked with side sauce. Outstanding..“
“Nikki, Sheila, Melissa, Cass, Malexis, Felicia all sisters I think 2 are twins. Let me tell you they all do such a wonderful job. I can't praise them enough. They work hard and all look alike. I can't wait to come back again just for them and food .. and oh yeah the food was so awesome. Way better then anything I've ever ate in a long time. I ate lunch and breakfast in the same day. 10 stars!“
“Popped in for lunch with a group of 7. The wait time wasn't bad. We had to separate between a table and booth for the kids in our group. No worries, totally understandable as the place isn't very large, very much a while in the wall, mom and pop type of place. The staff was incredibly friendly and so very attentive. I believe Isai was our waiter? Amazing! Didn't even have to order the side of ranch for my fries or ask for extra tartar sauce, it's like he knew. I left feeling like a local and not someone vacationing for the weekend. The seafood platter I ordered was absolutely delicious. Perfect crunch, flavor, the oysters tasted fresh. The okra..I cannot express how amazing the okra was with just words. It was perfectly seasoned and crunchy. No slime. My only issue is that it wasn't breaded with cornmeal but I can definitely overlook that. The chicken tenders and onion rings my child ordered, she loved. My husband's French toast breakfast, also delicious. For what we received, I definitely expected to pay more. You definitely get more than what you pay for in quality and quantity. This will definitely be a restaurant I return to on future visits.“
“We went to Jalapeno's for the first time today. I ordered their Chicken Quesadillas .The chicken was shredded and tasted marvelous! I especially loved their pico and guacamole! I loved their service, Hispanic music, and their whole look with their booths and tables. We would definitely return for another meal here!“
“Cannot speak highly enough about the refresh of the Black Marlin. We took the family for dinner one night and then brunch on Sunday. The food and service were absolutely fantastic. We had everything from the pasta Diablo to the ribeye for dinner and it was the best food I have had on the island. For brunch we had the eggs Benedict, steak and eggs, American breakfast and beignets. If you are port A you have to try this place!“
“My son found this and it looked fun. Nit was so much better in person. The kids loved the swing chairs. The menu was limited due to Spring Break. We had shrimp basket, burgers, fries and onion rings. These are one of the best onion rings we've had. So crunchy and the onion melts know you mouth. We will definitely visit again when in town during the summer.“
“We sat outside and didn’t wait long for our waitress who was very friendly with a great attitude. She was helpful and attentive. My husband and I both had the Mahi Mahi his with rice pilaf and mine with the asparagus. Both were excellent. I enjoyed sitting outside while the sun started to set. A definite must do again!“
“Very tasty! My husband and I both got crawfish po-boys and we shared the crab stuffed fried avocado -- that's avocado is a MUST, it was divine. I could've eaten it as my whole meal!Great affordable cocktails and beer as well. Will definitely keep this one in the books for late night munchies since nothing else on the island is open past 9.“
“Absolutely delicious buffets. There is something for all tastes. For 3 people only around $60, for all you can eat, absolutely OK.But the best thing by far was the service. Thank you for the excellent service. (a very friendley girl from California, sorry i forgot your name)“
