“The shawarma is top notch. I had it as a wrap with all of the toppings, and I made it a combo with the beet salad and ceviche. The beet salad was absolutely incredible. The baklava was also really tasty. We weren't sure what to order or how, but the staff behind the counter was really helpful and friendly. We'll absolutely be going back!“
“The food there is so delicious... that's the best soul food I had in Houston. I tell everybody about them, any of my people come from out of town I'll tell them to go there or I'll take them there. Got to taste this before you leave.“
“Masala chai and filter coffee were nice drinks. Beef patty was pretty satisfying. Malai sandesh was definitely a hit, gur sandesh yummy as well. The inside walls of the cafe have interesting historical facts about coffee that you can read while you sip n snack.“
“Unpretentious hole in the wall with amazing Caribbean Creole cooking. Reasonable prices since it is not in a high rent area.We came here because we love the name. The restaurant is named after a popular song by that eternal icon of Cuban music, Celia Cruz. (Don’t tell the estate lawyers cause they’ll shut it down). When here in a Friday night 2 hours before they closed. The menu was limited because they were running out of items for the day. This is a great sign because everything had been made fresh that day.I had the grilled chicken breast with onions while my wife had the shrimp in red sauce. Both were really great. Plenty of fried ripe plantains.“
“This is a very good, authentic restaurant! The flavors are those of El Salvador, the tortillas are hand made and made well. The service is good, just like their pupusas!! I got the desayuno con 2 huevos al gusto and it came with frijoles, tortillas, plantains, cream and tortillas.“
“Ordered the liver and onions with white rice, and green beans with jalapeno cornbread with a glass of water and had a chocolate cake to go. “I drove around for a bit looking for a small quaint place to get some breakfast. Came across this place and decided to drop in. Food was good. The ladies at the counter were very kind, genuine. I found a good place to take me away from the hustle and bustle of the day.“
“The employees went above and beyond to serve my children whom one of which was very hurt they ran out of what he eats everytime. I told him we are at a "buffet" choose something else. He opted not to eat. I made clear If he couldn't find food at this place full of food I wasn't going to cook when we got home. He still insisted he wouldn't eat. When the crew heard this they told me we will have that ready in 10 min...while I'm embarrassed my child would act like that when we people homeless and starving in every state, I applaud the staff for being concrete about my child enough to do something they didn't have to do. Thank you all.“
“Who ever is running this location… AMAZING. God bless you. Your employees as well. The location is very clean once you enter the building. Approaching the line it’s clear on how to order and what’s included. The staff deserves 5 stars. From the moment I walked in and once I left the building I received nothing but the best service. They definitely made you feel like you’re at home. I think there’s a manager that was hands on, on the floor.. Thank you!!! Everyone working there.. thank you!“
