“Listen. This place didn’t need to be as good as it was to get business but they went above and beyond. Good, cheap, quality food that is super fresh—I’ve certainly payed way more for a frozen burger or stale fries. Their veggie burger is house-made with fresh ingredients and is so delicious. I don’t live in Austin and love checking out local food scenes when I travel. I ended up going to the Burger Bar for dinner two nights in a row (instead of trying a new place) because it was THAT good.Also, great music, great staff, great vibes. Will come back here for sure!“

“Lapachi's is a great spot to pick up a quick meal. Chef Lapachi was kind and attentive when I visited, even though he was also quite busy, and able to recommend a dish that met my eating preferences. I had the fries and a vegetable panini. The fries were crisp on the outside with a soft interior. They were seasoned well, complementing the essence of the potato without overpowering it. Although the fries are a side that pair nicely with a sandwich, I did not need to eat them with any sauce. They could easily be a stand alone snack!As for the vegetable panini, I appreciated that it was cut into two manageable halves. The bread came out crunchy but not hard and I could taste notes of feta and perhaps other cheeses under the flavor of the olives and warm tomatoes.All in all, I had a pleasant experience at this new downtown bistro. Chef Lapachi is one of the best chefs around, and I look forward to exploring the menu more in the future!“

“Got side tracked by SXSW traffic and grabbed a bite to eat here. People working here are so lovely and the interact with one another like a close knit , loving family. I loved seeing that. It’s definitely not vegetarian friendly so if you need veggie options, give your friend the extra meat meat patty from your burger and have the cheese and lettuce with a tomato on a bun because that’s about all the options you will have. Order a sweet iced tea and fries to round it out but you will need to find a better spot for protein options for sure. I hope they start serving more veggie friendly substitutions but i don’t think that’s going to happen, since the demand for classicn In N Out is so high.“

The burger is the only main option on the menu, but boy do they do this one thing well. If you want a burger, yes, this is where you want to go. In fact, if you're going with one other, I truly think you'll be satisfied ordering one burger, with an extra patty, and splitting it. It is pricey ($16 + $8 for an extra patty), and therefore the splitting recommendation. For wagyu, yes, worth it. You can taste the difference, and that's even including the seasoning. Prepare for greasiness. Claps to NADS. Great concept. Open till 3 AM and of course probably exactly what you need after a night out on 6th. Don't waste your time anywhere else on E 6th if you're craving a burger.“

“Food is absolutely immaculate! This is my first bbq experience in Texas and it did not disappoint! We got beef ribs, brisket, pork kebab, sausage, Mac & cheese, potato salad and peach cobbler! I loved absolutely everything, but my favorite had to be the brisket and beef rib! It was soooo tender and with their bbq sauce just melted in your mouth!!! I've never had Terry's or Franklin's so I can't compared to how they make it but we came here around 2 and they had everything vs when we tried to go to the other bbq spots they had already ran out of everything so we opted to not go. We ordered online using Doordash and the order was ready within 2 minutes of the pickup time. The food was hot and fresh, packaged in plastic takeout containers. The fries were surprisingly delicious, fried to perfection. There were fries included with every entree. The wet burgers were not too soaked, still held their shape, and were more delicious than I expected. The kebab plate and kebab wrap (both were wrapped in a humongous wheat tortilla) were drier than the wet burgers. Next time, I would pass on the kebab and go for a burger again.“

“In 2002 I came to Austin from rural Appalachia thinking TacoBell served good tacos. I went to the Spyglass location and ordered a frontera fundido sirloin and had to rethink my entire existence. Over 20 years later and they are still my go to taco place. The Dona Salsa can take anything to the next level. Some will say they're overpriced tacos, but they are a local restaurant that generally does their employees well and definitely support the local community. They even helped get Austin through the pandemic, as the only good thing that came from it was the addition of evening hours to all TacoDelis!“
