“I ate here recently and it was a good experience at all although it was better at the end than the beginning. I am not thrilled by the atmosphere of this place. It's a massive, open indoor area and the lighting is a bit cold and inconsistent: part of the area has lighting that is too bright and harsh, and other parts are dark. If they could fix it and make for more consistent, softer, warmer lighting (maybe use 2700K LED's, with more, but smaller bulbs, instead of the big ceiling lights with one turned on and another off) that would do a lot to improve the experience. The food was exquisite with one exception. The chips and beans they brought out at the beginning were WAAAY too salty and we could not eat them. However, the rest of the meal was fantastic. We ordered a pupusa, and a big bowl of vegetable soup that came with fried chicken on the side, also tamales, which came with a side of this tangy cabbage slaw. Everything was top-notch, cooked to perfection, perfectly balanced, very fresh ingredients. You could tell they had made everything from scratch. Service was a little slow but that's to be expected for stuff made with care. I am very glad we ate here, but I think some things could be done to improve the experience, notably, make the chips and beans brought out to the table much less salty, and then also improve the lighting. This is a big open indoor space and it feels a bit cold and sterile, softening the lighting could do a lot.“
