“I give a 4-star rating on the food only because I love French fries as my side, and it's hit/miss if my fries are a little soggy. I order extra crispy, and about 1/2 the time they are, and unfortunately, the 1/2 they are not. The brisket has a nice smoked flavor, and the turkey is always nice and moist. They offer several good BBQ sauces, and I always enjoy the free sliced onions, baked beans, and jalapenos. The only place in Texas where you will find beverages at $1.29! Kudos to Big Jakes!”

I didn’t really like the cupbap, the hot dog was just ok, but the bulgogi was awesome & the drinks were even better. Even though the food wasn’t exactly to my liking, I will 100% be back to try something else or even go back for just the good drinks because the young lady that worked the front counter this evening was absolutely amazing & one of the sweetest people I’ve ever encountered. She did everything with such kindness & grace, everyone she talked to she was extremely helpful & patient with, she was answering the phone, as well as working the drive thru & taking all orders in the front, on top of all that she was steadily making drinks while having the best customer service attitude I’ve ever encountered, including bringing everyone in the dining area their food & getting whatever they needed. I have no idea what her name is, but she deserves a raise!! I hope the owners see this & bless her for being such an asset to their company!”

The espresso blend is great! I'm crazy picky with undertones and flavors and my drink was absolutely perfect. Price point was pretty good for a locally owned and operated business too! Out of all TX BBQ restaurants, this restaurant has my number 1 large chop beef sandwich and number 1 pinto beans which are free when dining in and number 1 loaded baked potato with chopped beef. The turkey and chicken are top notch. The BBQ sauce is top 5 for me. I have eaten here dozens of times.”
