“Had DoorDash deliver to hotel. We had lived in Texas for yrs. and loved the food at TC and we're so glad to see one in Vernon. We had driven down from Kansas for a family gathering and were exhausted after the long day, so the Super Nachos, Taco Lite, Combination Burrito, Crunchy Taco and Cinnamon Crisps were a perfect ending to the long day.“

“Had to wait for Tyson as usual. Toro is a short walking path from the dirt truck lot across from the truck stop. It was great to sit down and have a really good meal. Had the hibachi combo. Filet, chicken and shrimp over mixed vegetables. Everything was tender and fresh.The tables and chairs are those of a fast food restaurant but don’t let that fool you. The food was delicious!“

“I just finished one of the best "60's" style hamburgers I have had in a long while. I had the hamburger special for $9.50. It was a regular size hamburger, bigger than I thought it would be, fries, a drink and a sundae. It was plenty of food and I thought a good value. The service was excellent. The building reminded us of our old high school hangout in the 60s. Overall, it was a very nice experience. CAUTION: they only accept real money. No credit or debit cards. PS. They have bee in business for over 60 years, so they must be doing something right.“

“It's a little hole-in-the-wall diner, but the food was great! We were just passing through and wanted to support a local business. The food didn't disappoint! Wife had the sour cream chicken enchiladas. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich. All of it was hot and fresh. I think they stayed open a bit longer to accommodate us (Google has them closing at 8, we got there at 6:45.) If you're in the area, give them a try.“
