“Of the many hundreds of craft breweries I have visited around the US, only a handful have been owned by demographic minorities. When I find one, I am particularly excited, because I want to see more than just the predominant demo—white guys—creating and partaking of the brewer’s art.But when I saw Mano Negra (“Black Hand”) online among other Lubbock breweries, I was thrilled. And because I was in town to visit all six breweries, there was no way I’d let this one slip by. In fact, I made it out to their location on Lubbock’s southwest side on my first night in town. Mano Negra is Lubbock’s only Latino-owned brewery. Of the nation’s nearly 10,000 breweries, only 2.2% are Hispanic- or Latino-owned.While the tiny brewery had only four house beers on tap, they also had a couple from my Amarillo favorite, Pondaseta. Since I can get those at home any time, I opted for the Yagrumo Coffee Ale (6% ABV), a delightfully refreshing cream ale with a flavorful shot of coffee. I could drink this all night.Since restraint is the better part of valor, I had only three glasses spread over a few hours, and bought a 32-ounce glass growler of it to take back home. There was an interesting mix of clientele, ranging from three guys on my left interested primarily in the Rangers/Cubs game, and a few university coeds to the right sipping house-made sangrias and munching on chicharrones. And for that brief evening, I enjoyed patronizing a small place I expect to hear a lot more about. This was excellent beer.“

“I freakin love this place. I drive 3 hrs to get 7brews. We'll worth it. I love that my orders are saved so I don't have to remember a drink I liked or disliked. It's recorded for me. So my drink is perfect every time. Not to mention fast and friendly.“
“Very chill neighborhood brewery with tasty beers and great vibe.As a hazy fan, impressed GLBC has three options…Part-Time Model using NZ hops for a slightly different flavor, Clouds of Fog, nice traditional NEIPA, and Floating in Space, a hazy pale. Their Bitter Buffalo IPA has nice dark color and good heart to it.Also daily food options…our Sunday tacos were killer.Spinning vinyl Sunday & Wednesday, nice patio to enjoy Lubbock evenings, and friendly patrons.Cheers to GLBC!“

“Wonderful people, kind and understanding. We were slightly late, but they accommodated us in a nice and welcoming way. We had 6 and we were in a room with 6 other people. So, the noise level was very high for awhile. We were the last group to leave, but we never felt rushed and our service was excellent. The food was great, not a large menu, but all well prepared and very satisfying. Margaritas are great, but some of the other mixed drinks are a little stout!! Next time we will try the interesting wine list. Recommend the pork chop and the elk.“

“The music was loud, which made it hard to communicate with friends at our table. This is the ONLY reason I scored down on the atmosphere. Of course, IT IS a sports bar that serves GREAT pizza, and the salad was scrumptious, too! I'd go back in a heartbeat! A couple of our group wanted a choice of crusts, but I loved the pizza as is!Vegetarian options: They have great salad.“

“Love all of the 7brew crew!! My drinks are always great! Even when they're super busy/slammed they are always friendly and accommodating. I come by WAY too often and some of them even know me by my car and have my drink going before I pull up <3“

“J's is the best custard I've ever had. I recently moved to Lubbock and heard the fuss about J's and it is all warranted! Great service, excellent concretes and wonderful flavors. I bet this place does the business in July! And I'm happy to say that I will at J's in July and all the other months. DQ Blizzards don't even compare.“

“Stopped by yesterday for a drink and Quincy took my order. Just wanted to brag on him because he had the best attitude, customer service and just so nice! He went over my order and add ons to make sure it was correct, smiled the entire time and handled multiple cars/orders by himself while his coworker was on break. Such a great experience. Great job Quincy! Thank you again. We will be back!“
“I love the food here. The menu is loaded along with great movies and comfortable seats. Definitely a " go to " spot for me“

“HUGE shoutout to Dutch Bros for being, hands down, the greatest coffee company! We did our gender reveal there a while back and I messaged corporate to tell them how great the crew was how much we appreciated them making this moment so special for us. I got a response back congratulating us and asking for our address so they could send us something. That something turned out to be two custom baby onsies and bib along with a handwritten note and some stickers. They are such a thoughtful company that cares about their employees and customers. If you don't already support them, please consider it because they deserve it!“

“I am fairly new to Lubbock. It was my first time visiting this establishment today. Walking in I was greeted by Lee who was exceptionally nice and helped me with my order. I ordered the carnitas nachos. They were delicious! The chips were light and crispy and the white queso bomb! The meat had the right amount of seasoning and very tender. Ask for the additional guacamole. It’s a must. Fresh avocados. My coworker had the chicken salad and loved it! Lee informed me breakfast is also amazing. I will for sure be going back!“

“Went out to drinks with a coworker on a Tuesday night. Plenty of seats available, but I'm not sure why. The waitress was nice and got our drinks in a timely fashion. Drinks were great, and no fuss was made over asking for a different vodka. We split the beef nachos and there was plenty there enough for 4 people! Music was a bit of a hit or miss, but overall had a wonderful night.“

“In a word: satisfying.Have you ever heard the saying, “snooze you lose”? Well, at this eatery, you can snooze and win big time because the food here is delicious! There is plenty of specialty items to choose from, like creme brûlée pancakes, habanero pork belly and omelettes. The specialty drinks are also delicious. The service is great too, even though the place was extremely busy the wait staff saw to our needs in a timely manner. I especially loved the decor with the throwback tables, chairs and booths. The bar area was available and also they had a large patio area.Would I return to this restaurant? Yes.Kid-friendliness: There were menu items for young people“

“One of my favorite places to go. There is so much good stuff here, like produce, food, and knick knacks. My favorite things are their cooked to order funnel cake mini donuts, the fresh picked pepper station, and the Korean food stall. The Korean food stall is the best thing at the market. Everything is homemade, and the family that runs it is absolutely amazing. I always get their bulgogi tacos, and they have recently added fresh, cooked to order, traditional Koren pastries, filled with either custard or red bean. I know what you're thinking...."Red bean? Yuck!" But this is different, as their red bean is homemade, and it tastes so amazing. It's unlike anything you'll have tried. They also do homemade kimchi, with, I think, radish or cabbage. It's a must try location. Lately, i have gone to the market, got Korean food, and left immediately.“
