“I can't make brisket like that!!! You're in for a treat if you eat at The Shack. My brisket was juicy, moist and seasoned perfectly. After eating the huge pile of meat, I tried my two sides beans, and coleslaw. The beans had chunks of brisket and just the right amount of spice. The coleslaw was fresh, and crunchy with the perfect flavor. If you're the kind of person that appreciates authentic local BBQ joints look no further.“
“My favorite place to eat on Friday night whether to dine in or carry out I LOVE this place!!! They should do a Bighams Big Boss Baker and put a loaded baker some pulled pork , brisket, and sausage with a scoop of Mac and cheese !!! That would be amazing!!! I’m gonna see if I can get that next time I go!!! Good customer service always there!! Kudos to Bighams on 82nd!! I LoVE YALL!!“
“Great BBQ spot, went on Thursday late afternoon, was limited selection. Check Facebook for what's available, they update daily. Fri-Sat are the big days where they have all the BBQ options. We got brisket smash burgers, 2lbs of ribs, Mac and Cheese and potatoe salad. It was amazing. Smash burgers are on point, ribs were perfect, sides were all great. Hidden gem BBQ place. Owners are super nice people too. Top BBQ place in Lubbock for sure.Parking: Parking is fine, lots of space on the sideKid-friendliness: Kids friendlyWheelchair accessibility: You can get a wheel chair in.“
“I love me some good BBQ. This is definitely a great place to bring my family. The serving crew were fast. The only thing that was an "issue" was that the booths are not big people friendly. So if you're pregnant about to pop, I suggest you don't go trying to fit yourself in there unless you want a good workout and squeeze your gut.Love the atmosphere. It was well kept, so no complaints there.By the way, this place serves the Best Mac and Cheese! This was a Holy cow give me your recipe good.Thank you to manager for coming out to greet the house. That's a sign of a good business. For what seems to be short staffed, you make a good team and I can tell everyone working hard to get things going.Keep up the good work!Kid-friendliness: Glad there were little chairs and boosters for my kiddo. I didn't get the chance to see if there was a kid's menu so I can't really speak for that.“
“We wanted Texas BBQ in Texas and this was delicious. They sell everything separately so you just order your meat and sides in the size you want. The turkey was amazing. The potato salad was a little sweet for my taste but the other sides were delicious. I loved the country atmosphere and the employees were very friendly. My only real complaint was that I was hoping the ‘store’ would actually have some souvenirs or Texas decor or something (similar to Cracker Barrel if you’ve been there) but with the exception of Rudy’s T-shirts and hats it just has a few snacks and drinks. Overall I’m glad we chose Rudy’s for our Texas BBQ experience.“
“Don't be fooled by the exterior! The ribs were the best we've ever eaten and the hospitality of Mr. Powell, an Air Force veteran, was unmatched. We felt as if we were invited into his home for a meal. We were only visiting Lubbock for the weekend, but we would definitely eat here again and again and again.“
“Ok listen I don't leave reviews very often unless the food is really bad or exceptionally good and let me tell you it is exceptionally good. They stuff their own sausage. Their ice cream is the best I've ever had. Their brisket, smoked turkey and sausage are all amazing. I wasn't disappointed by anything. I wish we had one back home. We will definitely be eating here every time we are in town. 10/10 definitely recommend ? ?“
“This was an absolutely amazing experience!! We stumbled upon this place after another restaurant was too full. The smell was amazing from the door and the food was even better! Service was amazing! Just gonna have to come here first next timeKid-friendliness: High chairs providedWheelchair accessibility: Open floor space“
“The food from Aloha is absolutely amazing. I had the beef stir fry noodles with no vegetables. We typically order 2 of these, and it will feed our family of 5.The only downside to Aloha BBQ Grill is everything is made to order, and their phone line is spotty at best, so calling ahead does not speed up the process. You can expect to wait 30 minutes to an hour to get your food on an average day. If they are very busy we typically skip Aloha and come back another day. While the wait can become frustrating, THE FOOD IS WORTH THE WAIT!!!.The restaurant is small so there is not a lot of seating, so I typically order, wait in my car, and pop in every 10 mins or so to check if my order is ready.“
“If you have not tried Boomerang BBQ, you have no idea what you are missing. GREATNESS! Matt and Sarah Walker are champion pitmasters with 7X World Championships with 35 Grand Championships in 12 different states. No other BBQ place in town has credentials like that!“
“This place was super busy. We had a large party and the waitress was awesome. The food was delicious but pricey. It was a little too loud for my liking. It was hard to hear my party talking to each other but most places are getting loud/ echo. I did enjoy the location and being able to visit outside. It was a little cooler weather but they did have outdoor heaters. Cute little shopping gift shop. Overall not perfect but fairly close.“
“You can't go wrong with Element is playing here. Had a great time. Some really cool people there and a few not so much. Seemed a little more "clicky" than it was years ago. You either fit in or you don't. You'll either meet new people or you won't. Had a great time listening to the band. I'll be back again sometime. Summer should be fun.Parking: Parking lot was full so we parked in the neighboring lot behind the club. Business was vacant so was able to park there without problems or worrying about being towed. Just a little creepy walking behind building to get to our vehicle.“
“Cool BBQ atmosphere! Waited in line about 30 mins. Got the family meal. We had brisket, ribs, turkey, chicken and sausage. Sides collared greens, baked potato casserole, jalapeño corn. Sides were good but small portions. Meats were good. Brisket a little dry. Overall a good meal.“
