“they're kinda expensive. 2 tacos is never enough food, so you kinda have to get a side or an app or just 4 tacos. so you'll probably spend about $20 a person.the tacos are pretty good. i've been a few times, and sometimes one kind of taco totally misses. but for some reason i keep coming back because one guy i know just really wants to come here every time we eat out.my waiter looked like the guy that is really good at geoguesser. he was really nice. 10/10 service from that guy.“
“If you go Keegan will make the experience 10x better, you can really tell he enjoys his job and loves interacting with other. We’ve been here once and I tried a new pasta didn’t like my pasta but my second one was so much better anything we needed Keegan was more than happy to get for us. You don’t get this type of service often so highly recommend coming and requesting him“
“One of the best Italian bistros I've been to outside Italy. Everything is made from scratch! From the Al Denté Pasta to the visible lemon zest in their fresh made Gelato, Caffe Molise makes it their mission to provide a home cooked and flavorful meal at a more than fair price for the excellent quality! Bring your appetite, the portions are big! My wife's appetizer was basically a meal! The building was old school renovation from a mansion, and the interior was open, warm, and welcoming! Our hostess, Lisa, made the experience wonderful with her superb customer service and humor that made my wife's and my meal that more enjoyable! The manager was in the grind with her crew, true leadership and care for her customer's experience. I am so happy that we decided to dine here for our first trip to SLC. I will go back. I encourage anyone visiting SLC to check them out! You won't regret it!Vegetarian options: Made to order dishes that can be altered to meet dietary needs!“
“My friend and I found this place on instagram, and wow, we were impressed! We got the cajun fries, half a dozen of oysters, and the pound of shrimp. The Cajun fries were perfectly seasoned and crisp. The oysters were huge and delicious. The sauce for the shrimp was so good. I am excited to come back. The place is great for big parties and I wish we got our server’s name because she always came up to check on us. Amazing experience overall!“
“Libertangos is the absolute best stake house there is! The food is incredible and the service is outstanding! Brad was so attentive and helpful… hands down best service we have ever received anywhere. He made sure we had a wonderful time celebrating a family birthday.“
“We had a great time at White Horse aside from the hostess who before we even sat at the table told us the table was double booked and we had until 7pm before the next group came in this was 5:30 and she didn't do anything but point to the table we were sitting at. Our server was fantastic, food was phenomenal and I loved the layout of the building. We will be back with hopefully a more friendly hostess next time.“
“Loved this place! The environment is awesome, we sat downstairs so it was a little quieter but still vibrant. Would highly recommend the Brussels sprouts, wagyu burger, and bolognese! Will definitely be back.Kid-friendliness: It’s a bar, no kids allowed“
“The selection of whisky and bourbon is actually lined up like a street! The bar is full of any type you could possibly think of and at all price points. This is the place to go for the top shelf, rare stuff. So the name of this place is definitely justified along with some delicious food to go with it. The highlight of our experience was their ability to smoke an old fashioned. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and super fun! It made our time there very memorable. Great cocktails and even better atmosphere and vibe. Great place for visitors and locals alike.“
“Awesome food at this place. I'm so tired of the same old bland tex-mex food (i.e. red / blue iguana type food). This was so refreshing to eat some flavorful mexican food that wasn't so overtly americanized. The two chefs working the kitchen deserve every one of the five stars. Waiting staff was definitely understaffed unfortunately. I loved the aguachile verde, the tropical tuna ceviche, and the coconut shrimp. I definitely will be coming back.“
“This has become my favorite cocktail bar. The dim lighting, cushioned and cozy seating areas, and funky decor touches create a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. it was not too loud so it's easy to converse, and the crowd was an eclectic and cool group of 30 and 40 somethings. I had the frosted water lily cocktail and it's the best one I've had in SLC. You can also order food from Laziz!“
“PheNOHMonal and Nohm Nohm come to mind. You thought it, I said it.We had a lovely dinner here and the food was delicious. Service is excellent. Drinks on point.Make a reservation and sit at the communal tables and enjoy a fun night with new friends. Get the pear salad, it pairs well with the chicken wings and curry dip. Will be back again and loving the neighborhood off 900s these days.“
“The drinks and atmosphere and server personality was amazing! Food was a lot to eat for two people! which is amazing for value but it was quite heavy. taste was amazing but we could not finish any of the plates we ordered. Drinks were delicious and the wine flights were a fun option especially for Utah where it is hard to get “normal” drink pours. The service was a bit slow, but it was a friday night so that makes sense! I would definitely go back, but maybe this time for more drinks and less food.“
“I’d give this place a 15 out of 10. This bar was nothing but great hospitality as a first timer. I’ll be a frequent visitor from now on. Kezler was an amazing bartender/server, I hope future visitors experience his service. Again, 15 out of 10.“
“Fantastic seafood. We had the family meal, and it was great. Lobster, crab, shrimp, corn cobs, potatoes, shrimp, mussels, clams, crawfish, and broccoli. It fed 2 adults and 4 kids for $99, and all of us were stuffed. We started with the crab fries and finished with the beignets.“
“I mean it’s vegan food… don’t get the margherita pizza, the cheese sticks to the roof of your mouth like grout and has the same consistency as slightly wet flour. Also they put cherry tomatoes on it? And covered the whole thing in cheese? Just odd choices for a vegan restaurant. The cauliflower wings are just roasted cauliflower… tasted great but why call them wings? The green curry is bomb as well. Also server was wonderful. Cool industrial interior as well. Pricey as hell though, almost no entrees are under $20. Cheapest I saw was $19, most were $21+. Desserts looked absolutely splendid, but we didn’t get them :(HALF OF THEIR MENU WAS CHEESE BASED ITEMS BY THE WAY! WHY?? Vegan food can be great but why are we trying so hard to make non-vegan foods vegan?Vegetarian options: They’re vegan for sure“
“The very best bar speakeasy type bar in Salt Lake. My single favorite cocktail, the Absinthe Mind, is a must if you visit. Their kitchen, bar, and choice of jazz is always lovely. If you visit on a Sunday for brunch, prepare yourself; IT IS INCREDIBLE.“
“As someone who appreciates a quieter atmosphere, my visit to Water Witch left me with mixed feelings. While I understand that many patrons adore this establishment, I found myself grappling with certain aspects that might not have bothered me in my younger days.Space Constraints: The first thing that struck me was the size of the place. It felt too small. The limited square footage made it challenging to move around comfortably.Crowded Environment: Unfortunately, the cozy space way too crowded. The moment we walked in it was difficult to find a quiet corner to enjoy my time.Drink Menu: Glancing at the drink menu, I noticed that the options were somewhat limited. While I appreciate simplicity, I wished for a broader variety of beverages to choose from.Bar Noise: Attempting to engage the bartender proved futile due to the crowded bar area and the deafening music. Conversations were drowned out, and I couldn’t even inquire about specific drinks.Outdoor Escape: Thankfully, Water Witch had a saving grace: a porch/deck space equipped with heaters. Stepping outside allowed me to escape the cramped interior and catch a breath of fresh air.Smoking Area: Regrettably, this outdoor space had a downside: it was also the designated smoking area. As a non-smoker, this dampened my experience. In summary, Water Witch has its merits, especially for those who thrive in lively environments. However, if you seek a more tranquil setting, consider timing your visit carefully or exploring the outdoor space. Just be prepared for a bit of cigarette smoke if you do venture outside.“
“This place is always amazing! I love their sushi. I highly recommend the tartare! There was only one time it was so busy we were waiting for our food for a while, but I enjoyed my friend’s company and think dining out shouldn’t be rushed(for the most part).“
“I stay often at the Hyatt Place, a hotel that shares the same parking lot as the Elixir Lounge.I've had the opportunity to visit on multiple occasions, and I highly recommend it. It's a family-owned establishment where two generations of owner/daughter take excellent care of their customers.Kaylee has waited on me several times. She's always quick to smile, make me feel welcome, and remembers my order -- which is a tall task because I'm a bit high maintence with how I like my Woodford Old Fashioneds.I highly recommend this to anyone in the area!“
“We made a reservation for the speakeasy underneath the Bodega, called The Rest - and it was a real treat. You walk into the Bodega, which is its own spot for drinks and light food - and the bartender there will let you in a locked door and direct you down to the speakeasy - where you are met with a different host and a whole food and extensive drink menu. Dark, fun, great service. Good drinks, good food - and a very fun atmosphere - this is definitely worth checking out!“
“We had dinner and drinks here and were happy with the experience. For food, definitely try the birria tacos-- super duper yummy. We also had the honey walnut shrimp and it was quite enjoyable! For drinks, we had a variety of cocktails and were happy with all of them. We also went up to their rooftop area for a while and liked the views -- it was just a much smaller space up there so we were a little squished next to other groups. The service was good, but a little bit quirky. It's hard to explain, but it just seems like since they're still new, they're trying to figure out what they want to be (theme and ambiance wise) and that's totally fine. We would definitely go back again, and we want this business to do well.“
“The atmosphere and decor was really cool, but the table and the chairs we were sat at weren't comfortable for 6 people. Our waiter was very nice, when he ever came around, it took a long time in between drinks for him to return. Our food was good, but they missed one person's order, so their dish arrived when everyone else's were almost finished. The liquor selection is impressive, but my experience there was not. I'll try again for brunch, a lot of people have said that's a far better time to go.“
“Everything about this place was fantastic. The drinks were wonderful. Each one of us had a different beverage and they were each very tasty. We ordered the fried spring rolls and Mushu pork. Perfect portions for lunch. The chicken fried rice was very tasty with just the right amount of food that we all enjoyed. We would certainly eat here again and I would recommend this place to anyone coming in for a nice lunch or dinner. The service was fantastic and the ambient music was even better.“
“First time at Pizza Volta, came in with a group of nine last night. Fabulous experience! Cocktails were so good, pizza was even better! Tried several different varieties of both. Our server Brandon made the experience all the more fun. We will be back!“
“Love this place! Amazing gay bar, fantastic and fun shows like comedy shows and drag shows, beautiful outdoor patio in the bar, plenty of seating, 2-3 bars, and the silent disco downstairs is one of my FAVORITE things to do in Salt Lake City, hands down. The bartenders and fun and they have a crazy and fun drink menu. Cannot recommend this place enough.“
“Twilite is my go to place! Top tier tenders, top tier music, top tier vibes, top tier patrons. If you want the best dive experience in the heart of slc twilite should be your first stop. I always drink for a good price and feel safe doing so!! Love the twilite crew and they way they run ship 100%!!“
“We had a good experience at this place! The food was delicious, especially the recommended mango dessert with an extra touch of coconut flavor, which was a delightful surprise. The seating area was cozy and perfect for our company gathering, and the server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. the server she patiently answered all our questions and made sure we were well taken care of. The drinks were well madd, and the prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food and service. Overall, it was a five-star experience, and we’ll definitely be returning next time we’re in town.“
“I took a friend here for dinner on a busy Friday night.. The staff (especially Jay) was so welcoming and kind. The food was wonderful and Jay was able to point out all the vegan options to us (there were so many!!). The food and cocktails were fantastic. The Layla Rose drink was out of this world!!!!! The freshness of their food was very carefully chosen. The Muhammara, Baba and tabbouleh were the best I have had. Their Koshary was fantastic!!! We will be back!“
“Atmosphere was perfect. Exactly how you imagine a classic hotel bar. The drinks were perfectly crafted. Nick was very personable. I forget the other bartenders name tonight (which is stupid of me because all bartenders wear nametags in Utah), but he showed traits that I look for in a bartender. The bar was fully stocked. If there was a cocktail they weren't familiar with, they took great care to make it precisely and balanced. 10 out of 10. Will recommend when I have family visit.“
“It was decent food. Not superb but not lacking. I think the atmosphere was great. Not a place to hold a private conversation. Drinks were tasty. It was above mist hotel lounges for sure.I ordered chocolate cake to go and I am so glad I did!“
“We were so excited as a family to have El Cholo come to Salt Lake City. We have gone once and really enjoyed the meal. I loved the coconut margarita! The only thing I would say is that it is exspensive for Mexican food. I know food costs have gone up a lot but it's not the kind of place I would frequent often only special occasions.“
“Salt and Olive was great! there's a coffee shop attached to the restaurant, although you place the order separately they still bring the coffee to your table which was super cool. the place is super cute and was really chill for brunch on a sunday! not crazy busy or loud at all and the service was fantastic.“
“Great food with plenty of options. I particularly love the fish tacos. I have mine with grilled fish. The sauce is a bit spicy and so flavorful. I also like to salads, burritos and chips and salsa. Service is always quick and the place has good energy. My go to for Mexican when near the campus up at the U of U.“
“Best drinks in SLC! This spot is dark, small, and quiet. Comfortable seating options along with the traditional table & chairs and bar seating. The staff were phenomenal! Friendly and funny, but now overbearing. Now the drinks... strong but tasty! I had an espresso martini, a key lime martini, and a lavender martini - over the course of two nights. Yes, I went back the next night and brought more friends. My friends tried others and everything was delish.“
“I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast experience! We indulged in the ricotta donuts with dolce de leche and pecans, which were served piping hot and bursting with sweetness. The salmon and bagel with poached eggs & potatoes was a delightful combination of fresh flavors, while the ricotta and lemon hot cakes, breakfast croissant, and Loraine omelet were equally delicious. The attentive and friendly servers added to the overall pleasant atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend dining here and look forward to returning soon!“
“This is a very cozy little bar. Almost too cozy. If you've been here then you know. The ascetic is incredible. I wish I could enjoy this spot on a quiet rainy day. However that is not its intended purpose. The service was amazing when they got to us, very calm and polite given the circumstances. What I mean by all this is that its such a popular bar that its always packed to the brim. Simply the building cant handle (comfortably) the amount of people that are trying to congregate there. We were shoulder to shoulder almost the entire time. If you like that kind of thing, this is the place for you. I might try and get in a little earlier in the future, this might be a good place to start the night but certainly not to finish it.“
“Brae is amazing! Make sure you request him! The lettuce wraps and the crab, avocado and shrimp appetizer is exactly what I was looking for - filling and flavorful (especially the salsa). If an intimate atmosphere is what you’re looking for then stop by! If you tell Brae what type of drink you are looking for he won’t steer you wrong!“
“I love that this place makes great cocktails, has a huge selection of whiskey and isn’t over priced. They aren’t pretentious here, they just do it right. Favorite bar in slc.I also reserved the back room for an event here and Julie was so easy to communicate with and very responsive. We had our own bartender, Cam, for the reserved space and he was fantastic! They even let me customize the cocktail menu. It was awesome! I’ve been raving about it to everyone I know and all my friends want to host their next event here also“
“The food was great and the drinks were great. The music did not fit the atmosphere though... the atmosphere is a chill relaxing bar but the music that was playing was club music. Not impressed by that at all. If I wanted club music I would have gone to a club. Both my friend and I were annoyed with that but we stayed for a couple of drinks anyway.“
“My buddy and I came for cocktails for the first time and Miles was every part of exceptional! The roulette cocktails that were prepared were nothing short of perfection. Definitely recommend this establishment for their customer service and knowledge of spirits. THANK YOU, Miles!“
“Food is satisfying for Mediterranean but not necessarily the best ever. Good enough! We got to grape leaves, shrimp, and appetizer dips. It's close so we go occasionally. It's very overpriced sadly but feels like that's everywhere. If craving Mediterranean it fills the need.“
“This is a great spot for dinner before a show at the Eccles Theater. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the menu, though small, is delicious, and the dessert is outstanding. You can expect typical Greek fair (I’d recommend the shrimp and orzo), and definitely leave yourself at least 60 to 90 minutes to eat before showtime.Vegetarian options: Dolmas, salads, soupsDietary restrictions: They have several vegetarian and gluten free options.“
“Love the food! Love the service! Love the prices! Love the vibe! Super low key. Well maintained, clean, and service is fast and friendly! Generally have some daily specials. Don't skip out on brunch. They have a great Bloody Mary! Love the patio! Can't gush enough about Crow.“
