We met family for dinner. The wine and drink selection was really good. We started with the beets and roasted cauliflower from the mains. The beets were great! I thought the cauliflower was a bit bland. The rest of the meal was good. I thought the lobster ravioli was good, but could have had more flavor. Everyone else enjoyed their meals a lot. They were gracious in letting us sit and drink our wine and catch up after the meal with family we'd not seen in a long time.
We accompanied our friends, who are locals, to a Daou wine dinner that was promoted during the Park City Wine Fest, but not affiliated with the event. We paid for our tickets using the Resy system. It was confusing at the time of booking because the tickets were for a "wine dinner," however we did not realize that we also had to buy a separate ticket for the actual wine that was being served. Food was middle of the road. We had the charred cauliflower, burger and shrimp and polenta. The charred cauliflower was the best dish of the evening, as it had bright flavors and was well balanced. We also ordered the Danny Ocean mezcal and dragon fruit beverage. Very vibrant colors and great flavors working together. Restaurant ambiance is definitely a 5, and the service was pretty good as well. Overall, a decent experience.
