“I had never heard of this place and was excited to try it out. It’s a beautiful restaurant on the inside, very nicely decorated. Each table has its own space and there were some larger rooms for bigger groups. The staff were incredible. They’re driving the 5-stars as the food was decent, but nothing too impressive. The egg drop soup was hot but lacked any kind of flavor. The edamame needed to be steamed for a few more minutes as half were still cold and very few popped open very well. The sushi rolls were pretty solid. Nothing glaringly wrong with them and we ate all of the rolls we ordered. The kung pao chicken was very salty, borderline inedible. The fried rice with it was delicious as were the gyoza and the egg roll.“
“Doing a cross-country trip & went out of our way to eat here. It did not disappoint!! Our server was attentive, helpful on helping on recommendations & very nice! We ordered quite an assortment of items, along with sake. Very nice restaurant & everything was excellent!!!“
“I was looking for a bite on a Thursday night and showed up to this place in my car. To my delight, it was an incredibly low key operation with an amazing smell coming from the kitchen. This place is the BEST. The food is sublime and the folks running it are the absolute nicest people. I had the pork bowl, gyoza, and a milk bubble tea w/light sugar and it was incredible - great value and healthy too! Will definitely be ordering from here again!“
“Awesome Shoyu and Tsukemen ramen, probably the best in Utah. Usually need to wait if you're not getting here right at opening especially on a weekend night. Would love to see their menu rotate in the future and add on some Shio or Tonkotsu. Also would be nice to have some weather protection out front for all the people waiting to eat.“
“PheNOHMonal and Nohm Nohm come to mind. You thought it, I said it.We had a lovely dinner here and the food was delicious. Service is excellent. Drinks on point.Make a reservation and sit at the communal tables and enjoy a fun night with new friends. Get the pear salad, it pairs well with the chicken wings and curry dip. Will be back again and loving the neighborhood off 900s these days.“
“The drinks are amazing and so is the food, the atmosphere and music/dj is amazing.I’ve been a couple times when it’s kinda busy it’s fine but the second the bar is kinda full the bar get overwhelmed and it takes 30 mins to get anything including closing out.“
“Me and my friends went here after lunch. Kaze Sushi Bar & Grill is walking distance from Main St. The food was fantastic! Especially the takoyaki and the cripsy tuna sushi. I also commend our server, she's very nice and attentive with our tables and our needs. They also have a lot of seating and space for groups of people dining. Overall, I loved my experience and would definitely go back.“
“Really nice place. Appropriate volume inside. We ordered an appetizer-skewer trio. Very delicious but personally i could taste the wooden skewers just a bit. Then we ordered crispy style sushi- spicy tuna with scallions and crunchy shallots. Pretty delicious! Rice was fried perfectly. I've had this at jinyas before and it was very oily. But this one was perfect. I'm just not sure the texture of the rice is my personal favorite. I would order again if I was with someone who's never had it like my mom or a friend.Secondly we had a tempura fried roll- DTH roll. P good. Not enough texture. Missing a veggie in this one. Would like to try a different roll next time.Husband got the dinner combination plate- tacos and steak. And chicken wings! Delicious“
“This place is always amazing! I love their sushi. I highly recommend the tartare! There was only one time it was so busy we were waiting for our food for a while, but I enjoyed my friend’s company and think dining out shouldn’t be rushed(for the most part).“
“this place was packed on our Friday night visit. Luckily, there were only two of us, so they were able to save us pretty quickly. I actually really appreciated the fast service. Our server ordered our food quickly and brought out our food quickly. and I mean no mistakes. we ordered a variety of special roles, as well as ramen noodles, takoyaki, and warm sake. For the price you pay, you definitely get your bang for your buck.“
“Located in downtown SLC, this casual dine in restaurant offers self service. You order at the counter off the simple menu that offers combo plates which includes rice and appetizer. The portion size is huge as they overfill the to go box, and the flavor of their curry it's so tasty with the right amount of spice to give a kick. Best of all is their pricing that's so affordable. If you're looking for a quick bite with no frills & want authentic tasting Thai food, come here!“
“I like the interior of this restaurant. Their food are average Japanese dishes. I got the sukiyaki and donburi. I probably won't get donburi again because they were mostly onions and a ton of rice. For the price I don't think that was worth it. As for sukiyaki it was really yummy, I had it with less sugar and it wasn't extremely sweet which I liked. I'll probably come back and try other stuff on the menu.“
“My wife had the tempura seafood I had a salmon bento box. It was really a nice lunch that was value for money. The place got slammed with a lot of tables in a short time I think there was only once server and she really did a fantastic job. Filled waters checked on everybody and never stopped moving the 5 star review is for her and for a nice restaurant after having a bad experience a few minutes before. We had a rare lunch time open together on a weekday without kids. Thank you so much!“
“I ordered through DoorDash for the first time and I liked it. I especially enjoyed their Yang Chow fried rice, one of my fave comfort foods. It was so good- huge serving too! I also liked the xiao long bao dumpling and the takoyaki. Too bad they forgot to send the Tiramisu. Anyway, it was a great first experience with their dishes so I’m looking forward to trying some more in the future. Keep it up! ??“
“Probably one the better restaurants around the area, I love the jalapeno poppers, they are packed full of tuna and has that sushi taste to them. The fried rice tastes and looks like homemade fried rice, if it weren't for the bbq beef I ordered along with it, it tastes kind of plain. I plan to come back to get sushi instead next time.“
“The teriyaki chicken, rice, and broccoli was great. Saw them and glade I came need something for lunch because the university of Utah is good desert. For 14.00 dollars wasn't a bad price. They give you a lot of food too. They get my Two. ??“
“This place had delicious sushi, udon, and a cool modern vibe. The music was also great and added to the experience. Highly recommend the strawberry crepe cake.Parking: Free parking garage with validation which is great unless your vehicle is too tall. There is street parking as well but it is difficult to come by.“
“I’ve been wanting to come here for a while, and it did not disappoint! Both ramens we ordered were amazing (Tonkatsu & Kimchi), and the Chili Beef Dumplings were even better. I definitely plan on coming back to try their other dishes.“
“I have lived in the Millcreek area for the last 5 years, however, I had never stopped by at this restaurant. I had driven by it so many times and figured I should finally try it. Right when I walked in, I was already enamored by the decor and the set up of the restaurant. The decor in the waiting area is almost like a section out of a museum. There are painting and masks on the walls. It's so interesting to look at and it makes the place look authentic. You get a glimpse of the set up of the restaurant from the waiting room and it is set up like a very authentic Japanese establishment. There are rooms where you can SIT ON THE FLOOR AND EAT ON A CUSHION AROUND A LOW TABLE like Japanese people did back in the day. Each table is sectioned off with authentic wood dividers with wooden lights and hanging sphere lights. I love the touches of the place! The food was delicious as well. There are not many sushi options as it seems more like a dish and side dishes type of place rather than a sushi house. I ordered the breaded pork combo dish that came with tempura, salad, and soup. I had no complaints with it! There was a good amount of food for the price of the combo. I also tried the Smart Roll. I did not realize the salmon was cooked in the roll until I received it. I was wanting a raw fish roll, but that was my mistake, I probably did not read the menu diligently enough. The roll was still delicious and I enjoyed it. A note though: It was stuffed with an abnormal amount of rice, so the ratio between things in the sushi roll and the amount of rice did not match up... There was a lot more rice. This place is a very cute place to come with a date or for an intimate get together with friends! I suggest getting a rice plate rather than sushi at this place. You get more bang for your buck that way and I think the dishes are better anyways!“
“Had an absolutely delightful experience at Shabu Shabu last night! The food, especially the meats, were beyond my expectations—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cut for that melt-in-your-mouth sensation. The broth options complemented the meats beautifully, enhancing the overall dining experience. Each dish was presented with care, making the meal not just a feast for the palate but for the eyes as well. The service was attentive and friendly, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend for anyone craving an authentic Shabu Shabu experience!“
