“We were wandering around Taylorsville not knowing where to eat (being from out of town), we happened to see the sign for Taqueria Martini and decided to try it. We were a bit skeptical being that it was a Saturday right at rush time and yet there was only two people in there eating! OUR BLESSING!! Melissa was the BEST, KIND, FRIENDLY and a perfectly attentive server and when we asked about the restaurant she told us the cook makes everything from scratch, very authentic AND that the beef was grass fed that made us excited to try it!! Wowza it was delicious!! I loooved the chalupa’s (should have taken pictures but we were so hungry we just dug right in!) and my husband had the Big Boy! Yum, yum, yum!!! If you’re like me and don’t like anything spicy it was a bit on the spicy side for me but i still ate every bite as the flavors were so good! My husband didn’t think anything was too spicy—he loved it and ate every bite also!! Wish we lived closer so we could go more often!! Thanks to Melissa for such a pleasant surprise—she said the right things and we stayed to try it! Glad we did and the price was right too!!”

“Tried this great little gem today in the shopping plaza on 47th south between the 215 on/off ramps and 27th west. Staff was super friendly and quick and the treats were delicious! I had a specialty flavor (rainbow) while my son went with a custom creation and both were garnished with a cute tropical umbrella. Loved the vibe in the store and that its a woman owned local small business. Check them out! You won't regret it :)”

“Schmidt's Pastry Cottage is the only place I could find that will write names on cookies. I've only tried the sugar cookies, apple fritters and brownies. They are hands down, by far the best I've ever had! I will definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu. I'll never go anywhere else. Fan for life! Also, the staff are super friendly and helpful.

“Total hole-in-the-wall. We had the entire place to ourselves. No music and certainly not updated inside but the workers were so nice and the food tasted fresh and was delicious. The portions were also large.”

“First time coming here and it was a great experience! I had the Chile Verde enchiladas (lunch special). The total was around $14 for the enchilada, rice (and beans), and drink. Not sure if that's a good deal or not, but it tasted great and I would definitely go there the next time I'm in the area! The waiter was also very kind and let me practice ordering in Spanish.”

“I've driven by dozens of times and always wanted to stop in. I finally got the opportunity to about a month ago. I had an idea of what I wanted, but as soon as I walked in I could NOT decide. I asked what the most frequently ordered meal was and walked out with Spam Loco Moco (first time trying it!). Best Decision EVER! The mac salad was a great side and compliment to the gravy. “I go to beans and brew at night before I go into my nightshift. The staff is very friendly, but every time I go in, the restaurant is ABSOLUTELY freezing!! They should turn off the ac in the middle of the winter to make a more comfortable environment for their customers.”

“Tiny little place, good selection for the size. Lots of that wonderful lovely fluffy football-shaped bread in a case by the counter. I paid $5 plus change for five items so good prices in my estimation, and the gentleman at the counter was quiet but pleasant. There were other things in the cooler besides baked goods, but I couldn't tell you what they were because that's not why I was there! I actually went later in the afternoon and everything, including the bread, was still fresh. And honestly, I have no idea what I ate but it was all very good. I'm not in town for long, but yes, I will go back.

Parking: Very narrow parking lot as the building sits close to the road. Plenty of parking, just be careful getting in and out of the lot.”

I was nervous because they closed in 40minutes I was thinking the food was going to be dry and sitting their all evening but it was the only option for Chinese food I called they said it would be 15 minutes they had it ready in less time only 11 minutes and for the for under $20 excellent food portions it was hot and fresh . I would totally recommend them .”

The burgers are so good, and on top of that, the fries are amazing, and ON TOP OF THAT, every time you get fries, they fill a cup with fries, along with filling a QUARTER of the bag with fries. It's a little pricy, that being around $20 per person, but it's fairly worth it. All the locations are also extremely atmospheric, reminiscing of '50s diners with a modern respin on it.”

“I came in for a bucket of chicken. They had to cook some more thighs to complete my order. About 18 mins. I was offered a free drink for my having to wait. While waiting, I was asked if I liked Cinnamon biscuits I have never had any. She offered me some that were getting too old and going to be thrown out. I accepted. It was very nice to be treated this way. Here's the reason why. I am having surgery for cancer tomorrow. I needed something good to happen to me and this was it. I don't think she realized how much it meant to me. I really needed some kindness before the ordeal I will have starting tomorrow. I don't know her name. I wanted to thank her, however she was in the back and couldn't be seen to do so. It is making my day a little brighter when it is needed so much. THANK YOU”
