“Delicious food and cocktails. The restaurant is located on a trendy lane and is well appointed. Our server Milla was very attentive and knew everything about the menu. The miso cod was cooked to perfection although the broth was a bit sweet for my taste.“
“I would like to say thank you to Dakota who was our server on 2/27. He was so efficient, kind and exceptional at what he does. He thanked my husband for his service as we handed him our USAA debit card to pay for our meal. Being the only server on the floor, he handled himself very well and was very professional. Dakota is someone that can train new servers. He pays attention to details and checks on his tables perfectly. Kudos to whoever hired this young man! He’s a keeper! Thank you Dakota for making our dining experience one to remember.“
“I had the ojo de bife (ribeye). Their ribeye is a Wagyu cut. It was delicious, needed a little bit of salt, but overall, it was a delicious steak. We had a chorizo and empanadas de queso for appetizer. Very good. Especially the chorizo. The service was great. I never had to ask for a refill. They were prompt with anything we needed. Not overwhelming on their table approach. Just the right amount of involvement.Atmosphere was awesome. Cost was a little higher but it was okay. I'll definitely be coming back. My friend had the flank steak, which looked great, and also the salmon.Kid-friendliness: Probably not a place to bring kids.“
“We had a great time at White Horse aside from the hostess who before we even sat at the table told us the table was double booked and we had until 7pm before the next group came in this was 5:30 and she didn't do anything but point to the table we were sitting at. Our server was fantastic, food was phenomenal and I loved the layout of the building. We will be back with hopefully a more friendly hostess next time.“
“We have been coming to this place for two years now, we love it here. However, after the addition of a new member of their team, Asha, this place got even better. She is so wonderful with the best personality and amazing recommendations. She makes awesome drinks and makes the Whiskey Street a vibe. 10/10 recommend because of Asha.“
“Oh very delicious pasta! I had the The penne al caprino, it was an amazing pasta, so flavory and tasty. That’s all I could try today for lunch, also the sandwiches that my friends got were very good according to them. The place is old style and very clean, and we had a great service from Darby ?“
“This has become my favorite cocktail bar. The dim lighting, cushioned and cozy seating areas, and funky decor touches create a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. it was not too loud so it's easy to converse, and the crowd was an eclectic and cool group of 30 and 40 somethings. I had the frosted water lily cocktail and it's the best one I've had in SLC. You can also order food from Laziz!“
“Love the food! Love the service! Love the prices! Love the vibe! Super low key. Well maintained, clean, and service is fast and friendly! Generally have some daily specials. Don't skip out on brunch. They have a great Bloody Mary! Love the patio! Can't gush enough about Crow.“
“PheNOHMonal and Nohm Nohm come to mind. You thought it, I said it.We had a lovely dinner here and the food was delicious. Service is excellent. Drinks on point.Make a reservation and sit at the communal tables and enjoy a fun night with new friends. Get the pear salad, it pairs well with the chicken wings and curry dip. Will be back again and loving the neighborhood off 900s these days.“
“Atmosphere was excellent. Relaxed. High backed booths give private vibe. Service was excellent and friendly. Wagyu burger was juicy, fresh and delicious and allowed multiple flavors to ring through. Ravioli was flavorful and not too heavy. The meat and cheese board was underwhelming but did have many good flavors (blood orange cheddar cheese!!!) and the portions were good for sharing. The house salad was just ok and felt a little drowned in dressing and seemed lifeless. I was excited to try the dark chocolate cake and while it had excellent flavor it was dry and a bit disappointing. We would definitely return and try some additional entrees and just drink in the vibes.“
“This Mexican sea food is delicious; their ceviche tastes so fresh. I wouldn't have thought it was going to be this delicious. Their churros taste so fresh too, not like the frozen ones. Great customer service, and the place looks clean and is nice inside.“
“Fantastic seafood. We had the family meal, and it was great. Lobster, crab, shrimp, corn cobs, potatoes, shrimp, mussels, clams, crawfish, and broccoli. It fed 2 adults and 4 kids for $99, and all of us were stuffed. We started with the crab fries and finished with the beignets.“
“Came here with a large group of 18 and every single one of us LOVED it. Even the non vegans!!!! Amazing from start to finish. Highly recommend stopping by and do NOT skip dessert!!!! I had the cherry “cheesecake” and it was amazing. Also tried a friends chocolate cake and OMGGGGG.“
“First time going to this roaring little speakeasy since becoming Prohibition and I've got to say that this is the BEST this building has looked in 20 years. It was adorable and right on theme from the moment they slid the bookshelves aside and seated us at the table. We were there in time for both brunch and dinner menus and had such a hard time deciding what we wanted-- everything looked delicious! I love the Mob Cob and will probably dream about it until I can go back and get it again. The server we had was delightful and fun to joke around with but was not annoying and let my friend and I have our time together to chat without interrupting to often. They were so much fun we will have to come back for the upcoming Alice in Wonderland themed show! The drinks are the highlight! Try one of the fun drinks- Bourbon and the Beast for the presentation win! So much fun!“
“As someone who appreciates a quieter atmosphere, my visit to Water Witch left me with mixed feelings. While I understand that many patrons adore this establishment, I found myself grappling with certain aspects that might not have bothered me in my younger days.Space Constraints: The first thing that struck me was the size of the place. It felt too small. The limited square footage made it challenging to move around comfortably.Crowded Environment: Unfortunately, the cozy space way too crowded. The moment we walked in it was difficult to find a quiet corner to enjoy my time.Drink Menu: Glancing at the drink menu, I noticed that the options were somewhat limited. While I appreciate simplicity, I wished for a broader variety of beverages to choose from.Bar Noise: Attempting to engage the bartender proved futile due to the crowded bar area and the deafening music. Conversations were drowned out, and I couldn’t even inquire about specific drinks.Outdoor Escape: Thankfully, Water Witch had a saving grace: a porch/deck space equipped with heaters. Stepping outside allowed me to escape the cramped interior and catch a breath of fresh air.Smoking Area: Regrettably, this outdoor space had a downside: it was also the designated smoking area. As a non-smoker, this dampened my experience. In summary, Water Witch has its merits, especially for those who thrive in lively environments. However, if you seek a more tranquil setting, consider timing your visit carefully or exploring the outdoor space. Just be prepared for a bit of cigarette smoke if you do venture outside.“
“We made a reservation for the speakeasy underneath the Bodega, called The Rest - and it was a real treat. You walk into the Bodega, which is its own spot for drinks and light food - and the bartender there will let you in a locked door and direct you down to the speakeasy - where you are met with a different host and a whole food and extensive drink menu. Dark, fun, great service. Good drinks, good food - and a very fun atmosphere - this is definitely worth checking out!“
“This place is always amazing! I love their sushi. I highly recommend the tartare! There was only one time it was so busy we were waiting for our food for a while, but I enjoyed my friend’s company and think dining out shouldn’t be rushed(for the most part).“
“Lake Effect is the premiere and best venue in Salt Lake City for private events. It's close to the convention center and ideal for any sized event with 3 floors. We had a 300-person event and rented the Main Floor section and it was epic! Our Events Manager was INCREDIBLE and so on top of every detail from the responding quickly to space inquiry from the outset to every detail on night of and honoring every request we had from small to big. She's a true class act and was instrumental in the success of our event! The staff were also so wonderful, helpful, and everything was beyond perfect! We even had a photo booth and theme to our event, which drew more guests to the fun. Thanks to the manager and all for an event we're still hearing good things about!“
“We had dinner and drinks here and were happy with the experience. For food, definitely try the birria tacos-- super duper yummy. We also had the honey walnut shrimp and it was quite enjoyable! For drinks, we had a variety of cocktails and were happy with all of them. We also went up to their rooftop area for a while and liked the views -- it was just a much smaller space up there so we were a little squished next to other groups. The service was good, but a little bit quirky. It's hard to explain, but it just seems like since they're still new, they're trying to figure out what they want to be (theme and ambiance wise) and that's totally fine. We would definitely go back again, and we want this business to do well.“
“Have been dining at this restaurant a couple times a year since it has opened. A lot of healthy options. The decor is beautiful. In particular I love the candles on the back wall. I do miss their lunch hours. I use to take my mom on lunch dates here a while back & we are hoping they will be open for lunch again in the future! This restaurant is a family favorite making it a restaurant we dine at a couple times a year. The spices are perfectly balanced in each meal. The Fire Roasted Red Pepper Hummus is the perfect appetizer. The shawarmas are all excellent however the kabobs(beef, chicken & lamb) are my personal go to. The salad adds a freshness to the dish and the fries are perfectly seasoned. The combination makes for a filling and balanced meal. The falafel is great as well. Slightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Musakhen is perfection and a must try dish. The combination of the spices, caramelized onions & pine nuts is transcendent. It's always great to support a local restaurant and Layla's is one of the best in town.“
“This is mine and my boyfriends favorite spot! The food is always so unbelievably good and the customer service is always excellent! We get the shaking beef every time it’s to die for, but honestly everything we’ve tried from this spot has never disappointed. I couldn’t recommend this place more!Parking: Public parking garage across the street and free parking lot just down the street. Street parking as well“
“First time at Pizza Volta, came in with a group of nine last night. Fabulous experience! Cocktails were so good, pizza was even better! Tried several different varieties of both. Our server Brandon made the experience all the more fun. We will be back!“
“Love this place! Amazing gay bar, fantastic and fun shows like comedy shows and drag shows, beautiful outdoor patio in the bar, plenty of seating, 2-3 bars, and the silent disco downstairs is one of my FAVORITE things to do in Salt Lake City, hands down. The bartenders and fun and they have a crazy and fun drink menu. Cannot recommend this place enough.“
“Twilite is my go to place! Top tier tenders, top tier music, top tier vibes, top tier patrons. If you want the best dive experience in the heart of slc twilite should be your first stop. I always drink for a good price and feel safe doing so!! Love the twilite crew and they way they run ship 100%!!“
“We had a good experience at this place! The food was delicious, especially the recommended mango dessert with an extra touch of coconut flavor, which was a delightful surprise. The seating area was cozy and perfect for our company gathering, and the server was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. the server she patiently answered all our questions and made sure we were well taken care of. The drinks were well madd, and the prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food and service. Overall, it was a five-star experience, and we’ll definitely be returning next time we’re in town.“
“I took a friend here for dinner on a busy Friday night.. The staff (especially Jay) was so welcoming and kind. The food was wonderful and Jay was able to point out all the vegan options to us (there were so many!!). The food and cocktails were fantastic. The Layla Rose drink was out of this world!!!!! The freshness of their food was very carefully chosen. The Muhammara, Baba and tabbouleh were the best I have had. Their Koshary was fantastic!!! We will be back!“
“Atmosphere was perfect. Exactly how you imagine a classic hotel bar. The drinks were perfectly crafted. Nick was very personable. I forget the other bartenders name tonight (which is stupid of me because all bartenders wear nametags in Utah), but he showed traits that I look for in a bartender. The bar was fully stocked. If there was a cocktail they weren't familiar with, they took great care to make it precisely and balanced. 10 out of 10. Will recommend when I have family visit.“
“It was decent food. Not superb but not lacking. I think the atmosphere was great. Not a place to hold a private conversation. Drinks were tasty. It was above mist hotel lounges for sure.I ordered chocolate cake to go and I am so glad I did!“
“We were so excited as a family to have El Cholo come to Salt Lake City. We have gone once and really enjoyed the meal. I loved the coconut margarita! The only thing I would say is that it is exspensive for Mexican food. I know food costs have gone up a lot but it's not the kind of place I would frequent often only special occasions.“
“Salt and Olive was great! there's a coffee shop attached to the restaurant, although you place the order separately they still bring the coffee to your table which was super cool. the place is super cute and was really chill for brunch on a sunday! not crazy busy or loud at all and the service was fantastic.“
“Great food with plenty of options. I particularly love the fish tacos. I have mine with grilled fish. The sauce is a bit spicy and so flavorful. I also like to salads, burritos and chips and salsa. Service is always quick and the place has good energy. My go to for Mexican when near the campus up at the U of U.“
“Best drinks in SLC! This spot is dark, small, and quiet. Comfortable seating options along with the traditional table & chairs and bar seating. The staff were phenomenal! Friendly and funny, but now overbearing. Now the drinks... strong but tasty! I had an espresso martini, a key lime martini, and a lavender martini - over the course of two nights. Yes, I went back the next night and brought more friends. My friends tried others and everything was delish.“
“I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast experience! We indulged in the ricotta donuts with dolce de leche and pecans, which were served piping hot and bursting with sweetness. The salmon and bagel with poached eggs & potatoes was a delightful combination of fresh flavors, while the ricotta and lemon hot cakes, breakfast croissant, and Loraine omelet were equally delicious. The attentive and friendly servers added to the overall pleasant atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend dining here and look forward to returning soon!“
“Great little dive spot with some problems. Unclear if there's sometimes table service but we had to walk to the other side in order to place a food order. That being said, the truffle fries are excellent so get a large order ??Parking: Insider tip: Park at the BMO bank across the street.Kid-friendliness: Hey kids aren't allowed. 21+“
“Great club right on Main Street. It's a small venue but there is a lot of room to dance and a great bar. Bartenders were very nice and their service was efficient so the wait for drinks is minimal. The night we went Godena the DJ was there and he did a great job mixing all kinds of music. All in all a definite club to repeat.“
“Brae is amazing! Make sure you request him! The lettuce wraps and the crab, avocado and shrimp appetizer is exactly what I was looking for - filling and flavorful (especially the salsa). If an intimate atmosphere is what you’re looking for then stop by! If you tell Brae what type of drink you are looking for he won’t steer you wrong!“
“The food was great and the drinks were great. The music did not fit the atmosphere though... the atmosphere is a chill relaxing bar but the music that was playing was club music. Not impressed by that at all. If I wanted club music I would have gone to a club. Both my friend and I were annoyed with that but we stayed for a couple of drinks anyway.“
“My buddy and I came for cocktails for the first time and Miles was every part of exceptional! The roulette cocktails that were prepared were nothing short of perfection. Definitely recommend this establishment for their customer service and knowledge of spirits. THANK YOU, Miles!“
“they're kinda expensive. 2 tacos is never enough food, so you kinda have to get a side or an app or just 4 tacos. so you'll probably spend about $20 a person.the tacos are pretty good. i've been a few times, and sometimes one kind of taco totally misses. but for some reason i keep coming back because one guy i know just really wants to come here every time we eat out.my waiter looked like the guy that is really good at geoguesser. he was really nice. 10/10 service from that guy.“
“This is a great spot for dinner before a show at the Eccles Theater. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the menu, though small, is delicious, and the dessert is outstanding. You can expect typical Greek fair (I’d recommend the shrimp and orzo), and definitely leave yourself at least 60 to 90 minutes to eat before showtime.Vegetarian options: Dolmas, salads, soupsDietary restrictions: They have several vegetarian and gluten free options.“
“The food is pretty good. I had all appetizers. It's a great date night place with fun food to try. I highly recommend it for the ambiance and the service, which I give a 10/10. I personally don't care for those things because all I really care about is the food. I'd give the food a 8/10 on food. Really solid place to eat. Will go again.“
“I had a couple hours before my am flight and I wanted to grab some breakfast. White Horse was my choice. Quick seating and very good service. I was sat near the windows where several of us “singles” were sat. The breakfast had very small portions but a generous bacon serving. I spent just shy of $20 and it was good. Due to the other choices I would certainly go there again for bkfst!“
“I have never been to a fiber establishment. I am so grateful for the jackalope, it has contributed to ever positive I have ever associated with Salt Lake City. I trying do not think I have ever been happier than sitting at a booth in the jackalope. The people are kind, my friends friends are kinder. The jackalope is my place of refuge in Salt Lake City any day of the week.“
“Had camaron cocktail and Prepared Oysters. $35.00 for both oh and a quesadilla kids meal with 3 drinks. We went half an hour before closing and service was amazing. They were out of what I wanted but what do I expect if they were closing soon. Will go again.“
