Sakina’s at the food court in Pentagon City has definitely got my taste buds in a happy place right now. I ordered the #1 (Chicken Tikka Boti) and am so loving it. First off, for $13.99 I got 6 chunks of delicious chicken, served over fluffy rice, chickpeas, salad and a pita. EVERYTHING was very well seasoned! Does anyone else remember Sakina's in DC, which served great Lebanese food and gave free food to unhoused people that showed up? Remember that they closed? They are now open at Fashion Square in Pentagon City. My reasons to eat there: 1) great food. 2) great prices for the food you get. 3) still feed the unhoused if the manager is there to approve it. 4) can handle gluten-free (not separate kitchen, but aware). This was SO GOOD! I have been exploring all over the city today and this hit the spot. I have to make a return trip next time I am in DC. Service was fast and the service was very friendly. If you are a local or just passing through I cannot find a single thing to complain about this one. Best saag paneer I have had in a long time.Vegetarian options: I had the Saag Paneer, which was delicious. I did not see anything vegan, though, if that is a concern.
