“This was SO GOOD! I have been exploring all over the city today and this hit the spot. I have to make a return trip next time I am in DC. Service was fast and the service was very friendly. If you are a local or just passing through I cannot find a single thing to complain about this one. Best saag paneer I have had in a long time.Vegetarian options: I had the Saag Paneer, which was delicious. I did not see anything vegan, though, if that is a concern.“
“You absolutely must order the Tandoori Naan. It is phenomenal. Best and freshest naan I have had in a long long long time. They make it fresh to order in a legit tandoori oven. I’m so impressed. We came here because we had a bike flat tire and stopped at the trek store next door. What a gem. Had Seekh chicken Kabab wrap (fresh naan, so warm and chick n kebab with an awesome spice mix. Fresh veggies and some sort of yogurt sauce) and then the goat curry for $18 includes naan and blew us out of the water. So yummy. If I’m back in the neighborhood I will return but be warned you have to wait for your naan since it’s made to order so be prepared to wait!Be prepared for a hole in the wall but the clerk was very nice.“
“I haven't been here in almost a decade as I moved jobs around 7 years ago. I had time off and thought, it's a beautiful day, I miss having lunch at Ballston and sitting outdoors with Mr. Khan's chicken Biryani dish with channa. I hope this cart is still operating. Looking into the questions here, and a review from several months ago, I wasn't sure as it seemed Mr. Khan had some health issues. I texted the number listed on the yelp page, and he responded immediately that he would be operating on Wednesday. I went today, and his food is still delicious and brought back memories. Most people will eat here b/c they are walking around and see a cart outdoors. For a destination like my situation, you'd want to text him the morning of to see if he's operating or not. Support him as he's coming back from a major medical procedure and his food is still delicious!“
“Had a very delicious meal yesterday with some friends. The food, service and ambience were top notch. Interesting cocktails too. They have done some renovations which give the place a very youthful and vibrant look. I will definitely be back.“
“Had a tasty Too Good To Go meal at City Kabob! I got the Kabob Platter which was a delicious mix of spicy Tandoori Chicken - perfectly cooked, soft, and seasoned. Very flavorful with a charcoal grill and was quite moist! Their Channa Masala was soft and packed a great spice blend that complimented the rice and chicken. The naan was a bit on the doughy side. The salad provided a fresh mix when combined with the spicy masala flavors. Overall, very delicious and good quality! Excited to try again!“
“This is the definition of a hole in the wall, it's a little dirty here and there, the service is somewhat questionable but overall effective.Their lamb chops and karaihi (kadhai) are always great and food is seldom lacking in flavor. It's the seating and the atmosphere that suck.Now... This isn't cheap food by any means. But the atmosphere makes it feel cheap. But one full order of karaihi and lamb chops will set you back atleast 70 bucks but will keep you fed for a full day or two.Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian options, and are only about 2 to 3 in number but are very good and well made. However if you don't like butter or can't have butter I would ask what they used as a fat in the dish itself.“
“Kabob Palace is outstanding! The kabobs are always juicy and well-seasoned, paired with fresh, flavorful sides. The atmosphere is cozy, making every visit feel special, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. It’s a fantastic spot for authentic, delicious meals. Highly recommended!“
“I have been a regular at Ravi Chatkhara, and it certainly deserves a feedback from me to express my loyalty. Food and Service are standouts and unique. If you like to savor authentic Pakistani flavors, this place along with adjacent Ravi kabob are the best in the city. I'd recommend a weekend brunch of halva Poori / Lamb Karahi / Chicken Karahi / Biryani at Chatkhara. Arun who is the chef/manager ensures you leave the place happier. He would recommend the dishes for the newbies who may find the menu card overwhelming.“
“I did a take out of their delicious Aloo and piyaz pakoras for our Iftari a week or so ago. The packaging was great which included a generous amount of their tasty green chutney. I glanced at their menu main items and their prices seemed high. Manager/owner and helper were polite and friendly. Great efficient service. Good restaurant atmosphere. I wish them success with their new desi restaurant.“
“The gentleman behind the counter was extremely friendly and helpful and accommodating. The Peruvian Chicken was fabulous as well as the Rice with Cilantro and Lime and the Slaw Salad mixed with the Tomato, Cilantro and Onion Jalapeno. The food was fantastic.“
