We came here when they had opened, but I think that they were having a slight delay with getting their items out of the oven. I ordered a variety box of: +a Vigilante - with cream, guava, and coconut +a beef empanada +a chicken empanada +a ham, cheese, and pineapple pastry +a Square with sliced green apples I did order a Guava croissant, but didn't receive it in the box; not sure if they charged me for it, since I didn't ask for one (user error!). I also noticed that we didn't receive any sauces (ie, chimichurri) for the empanadas. Not sure if I caught them off-guard or something! The pastries themselves tasted fresh and not too sweet, and I feel like the best time to go is when they're open first thing in the morning; I also feel that their items do sell out quickly. “First let me say that I lived in Europe for two years and have had quite a few amazing croissants...but nothing like this place. The chocolate almond croissant from Sub Rosa is the best one I've ever had..period. Also, the ham and cheese croissant and the tart was incredible. We heard about how fast they sell out so we ordered a few days ahead of our trip. I'd recommend doing the same if you want to guarantee you'll get what you want. “I really like this place. The bread is really good and cheap. I buy some of the rolls to make sandwiches for the week and freeze some for later use. I also bought some tortilla chips and tamales from them, as well as fresh chicharron that comes in a bag for $5.99. If you come around noon a lot of the favorites will be sold out, so I recommend going earlier than that.Parking: Parking lot is small but there are usually spaces available. If not, there are two parking lots right next to their parking lot that usually has a lot of spaces.“

This establishment doesn’t seem to follow the norm and uses a frosting that resembles more of a buttercream with bold flavors which is excellent in my opinion.Also, unlike her competitors, the cupcakes are a normal size compared to the extra large size cupcakes you get elsewhere which proves that bigger isn’t always better. The cupcakes are moist and flavorful unlike the bland and almost tasteless cupcakes from other bakeries.Together, the cupcakes as a whole are outstanding and just blow the competition away by leaps and bounds.The owner, I believe, is sweater than the confections she offers. And the baklava was the best I’ve ever had and my colleagues were in agreement. The owner went out of his way to prepare an amazing catered lunch. It was beyond 5 stars. “I finally got to try Crumbl Cookies! My friends treated me to these delicious cookies and I completely understand what the hype is about. It's super convenient to order your cookies. You can order ahead or use one of the kiosks in the shop. They were ready in under two minutes! I loved how they were served warm and it only added to just how delicious they were. Each of the cookies were so good, with my favorite being the Sea Salt Toffee. It was the perfect combination of sweet, salty, gooey, and crunchy. With that being said, the s'mores and apple crumble muffin cookies were absolutely awesome. Plus, the cookies are HUGE.This particular location is in and near lots of shopping centers. It's a great location for you to great a quick, tasty dessert after a day of shopping & running errands. There is no seating options indoors but there are numerous tables outside. “Lovely little bakery on a cute street. Stopped by on a Saturday morning to get the best selection and they had so many tasty-looking items. It was hard to choose! I selected the chocolate-almond croissant, the canele, and the supreme of the day (coffee-chocolate). We moved to Richmond from Charlottesville and I am a big fan of Marie Bette and the late, great Bowerbird Bakeshop. Idle Hands is definitely on the level with these. The supreme is a unique offering, and I'm so glad I was able to try it in one of my favorite flavors - coffee. It was huge and had tons of coffee pastry creme - so good. The canele was good, although I prefer the mini ones from Marie Bette - the smaller size makes a better ratio between the caramely outside and the soft inside. The chocolate-almond croissant was the star of the show. So generously filled with almond cream that it weighed nearly 12 ounces! Light and delicious pastry. A perfect treat!“

I came in around 6pm, most of the hot dishes had already been bought up but I was able to get a spinach hand pie and three pieces of pistachio baklava. The spinach pie was even better than the chicken I had previously had, moist and flavorful with a little kick on the back and. The baklava was the star of the show and keeps me coming back to this market. In another visit there was no hot food items but I was able to pick up some pickles, hot peppers from Palestine, markuk bread and of course more baklava. The staff are always incredibly friendly. “I always try to find different coffee shops besides your usual chain ones. I saw this one and came based on the ratings. I almost didn't purchase anything because the prices are on the higher side but I'm glad I did. I got their honey butter chicken biscuit and the seasonal Peppermint Bark Cookie iced latte ( if I have the wording incorrect, my apologies). The biscuits are made in house and I can definitely tell. Hands down, the best chicken biscuit I've ever had. The picture makes it look small but I promise that it was big. Almost too big lol but it was absolutely delicious. The biscuit actually had a sweet taste to it that I was not expecting. The coffee was also really good. I'm a sucker for peppermint mocha so I had to try it. It looked absolutely stunning when I got it, and there was a cookie on top as well! Flavors are very very good, not as sweet as I normally take it, but was perfect as it is. It is definitely pricier here, so if You're not looking to spend a whole lot, this isn't for you. But if your looking for quality, definitely check this place out. I'd recommend this place to eat and for coffee for sure.“
