“Came in from out of town and a friend suggested I come here, was not disappointed. Ordered the east coast burger with fries and a blueberry mojito. The burger was cooked right, ingredients tasted fresh, most places see fries as an afterthought but here they were freshly cut and had some kind of seasoning on them tasted great. And I had never had a mojito made with blueberry simple syrup before but I'd highly recommend trying it.“
“Stopped in for a nice meal on a Saturday night. Shout out to Jake for making the experience that much more pleasant. I chose the Chilean sea bass with the crab mac and cheese and also the garlic with potato. All the dishes will cook to perfection the sea bass had a nice char to it which added to flavor. The crab mac and cheese could have used a hint of seasoning it was overall a good side dish definitely worth a second order definitely worth over time. I also have the blood orange lemonade.... highly recommended.“
“Atmosphere: Bright, airy, loud, great working space. Kid friendly, cleanService: attentive, friendly, quickFood: Breakfast Burrito and hot tea for $17+ was over valued. Burrito is mostly rice and was messy to eat. Would benefit from more breakfast ingredients (eggs/bacon) and a dipping sauce? Sour cream or salsa per the bean and rice style.Overall, would come back to try lunch and dinner items!“
“I had lunch with a friend. I decided to try something different so I got the fish filet sandwich and salad. I was not disappointed. I could only eat half of it, and took the rest home for dinner. The server was excellent, always checking on us even though we were there over two hours. My friend got the shrimp and strawberry salad. We talked so much, she took half of hers home as well. I look forward to my next meal there.“
“When you drive down broad street and see the sign for 88 Street Food, it would be easy to pass it by without a second glance. The sign and building is unassuming, but the interior is very clean and modern feeling. The owners who work behind the register are easily some of the nicest and most welcoming people I've ever encountered in a restaurant. I would come back to the restaurant simply for the warm service. The food was pretty good as well. Banh Mi were among the best I've ever had. Bread was nice and crusty and the pork belly was full of flavor, I wish there was more! Noodles were good, I wish the pork had a little more of the classic Vietnamese grilled pork char. Garlic sauce on the wontons was excellent, but the wontons were a little too cooked for me. Definitely worth a visit!“
“A little bit of backstory: I just moved in from another state, and I needed to create a list of go to restaurants and businesses I can always count on for being good.My family is now ADDICTED to the sweet and sour shrimp and this one dish with veggies and chicken in the healthy section (which, as someone trying to watch her figure, is amazing for when I'm just too lazy to cook). For to-go orders they put the sauces on the side. It threw me off at first. We were able to save a lot of the sauces for future cooking though, so I can't be mad at it. I recommend using their versatile brown sauce for any dish you want to be savory. Those were the only two dishes that we tried as we combined our dinner that day with several restaurants to try to fill our list out, but seeing how it is so close, so good, cheap, and has nice staff? We are definitely going to go again.“
“The service was very good, the food was excellent, and the ambiance was superb. The wine were a too expensive. Many of these bottles on the wine list can be found elsewhere for much less. They need more lower priced options especially compared to the menu. We opted to order wines by the glass and they did give us generous pours. We'd definitely go back!“
“Our server was great and the food was good as well. Our calamari came out underwhelming with a ton of breading that had fallen off. Our server asked how it was and we commented that it was a bit on the sad side. He promptly replaced it with a new serving. It was very thoughtful and quick.“
“Happy Hour!If you are looking for great drinks, and excellent food at affordable prices, during happy hour, this is the place. I think it may be the best happy hour we have found so far. The way the economy is going, and the prices for eating out skyrocketing, this is a great option if you are trying to find a reasonable balance. All the items in the happy hour menu are excellent. And you cannot go wrong with mixed drinks. Additionally, the cocktails are discounted to nine dollars during happy hour, which is the longest that we’ve seen (from 3 PM until 7 PM). It is worth to mention that happy hour prices and menu only apply at the bar and a few tables that are considered the bar section at the entrance. Plenty of parking in the back of the building. The atmosphere is great and it may become a little too busy and loud during rush-hour. But it is totally worth it. Needless to say, this is a review of The happy hour. Outside of it, it may quite pricey.Parking: You can use Publix parking for free.“
“Literally the most amazing place ever. The food is absolutely phenomenal. Have been here multiple times and it’s perfect. doesn’t matter what you get it has amazing flavor.Kid-friendliness: I have an almost two year old and a nine month old, always super accommodating. I waldo tend to pick up the food my daughter drops on the ground and every time they tell me not to worry“
“The wife and I have been going to CT as long as it's been open. We are regulars together and I'm a regular myself. This is THE SPOT if you want excellent service, food, and memories. All I can say is go once, go twice, go three times or more!“
“I’ve come to Oceano’s a few times before during the week and Saturday night my boyfriend and I decided to come in for a date night. The restaurant was very busy and we didn’t make a reservation, so we decided to sit at the bar; absolutely best decision! We had two of the best bartenders in Midlothian hands down. They were definitely busy knocking drinks out left to right but managed to still keep us entertained and well taken care of through all the chaos. This restaurant has become one of our favorites and Saturday night topped it off! A must in Midlothian.“
“We had a reservation for a larger group on a Thursday night. The small restaurant was busy but our table was ready on time, it just took quite a while to get drinks and food ordered and then service after we got our food. Otherwise everything was absolutely flavorful and delicious. They really know what they’re doing! Portions are massive so come hungry or dine with friends.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pasta and pizza options were great! The mushrooms are especially delicious in various dishes.“
“This was my first time visiting. The restaurant was clean and inviting and my server was friendly and knowledgeable. If you like sushi and sashimi you will LOVE, this place. It's literally sushi in bowl!! They have cooked and raw options. Please give this place a try, you WONT be disappointed!“
“Received our order via DoorDash. American club was very good! Hot wings were a little extra crispy. Salt and vinegar wings were very different but very tasty! I’m a person that likes crisp celery with my hot wings and was a little disappointed that the celery was put in the same container as the wings. The heat from the wings “cooked” the celery and left the celery very limp! The carrot cake was super moist and delicious!“
“We had a very nice dinner here. The shrimp and scallop with the orange sticky rice was perfect. The hardshell pasta dish was lovely. Seafood cooked perfectly. Service was friendly and pleasant. You can park across the street in the parking garage and they will stamp it for you. Also had the chocolate torte. Delicious!“
“JUST THE BEST. Our waitress gave us incredible suggestions (I was about to get just the ravioli and she assured me I can do MUCH better than that) and I settled on the Rigatoni Rosa. The portion for price is very generous, my meal was 24 dollars with a very satisfying portion of salad, bread with oil, and enough pasta for three meals easily. The portion of my plate that I did manage to dent was licked clean!! My one regret is that I didn't have enough room left to try their tiramisu... next time for sure!“
“This place SHINES. I was a little skeptical due to location and the exterior appearance, but do not over look this gem. The owner greeted us with a friendly smile and ensured we had the best customer service throughout our visit. The crab legs, sausage and shrimp were better than any I've had locally and we are looking forward to visiting again soon.“
“Absolutely incredible! They always go above and beyond, and the food is extraordinary. If I lived a bit closer I’d order their food every day. Great menu, the staff is incredibly accommodating and helpful. They are very dedicated to providing great food and a great experience. Probably top 5 of my restaurants in Richmond. Give them a try or 2, you won’t regret it!“
“Went out with family/friends to celebrate and we enjoyed watching the sunset over the lake. Food, drinks and dessert were all delicious!Parking: I suggest backing into parking so it's easy to pull out and leave. Some areas have tight parking.Kid-friendliness: They have pizza and chicken tenders etc.“
“This was my cousin and my first time here and everything from entering the building to the ease of ordering was spectacular! We did have some recommendation's from Chef Kristi on some wine pairings and they did not disappoint! We tried the GRECHETTO, which is a white wine and for my girlies and guys who love Sauvignon blanc or Pinot Grigio, you will love this!! We also tried the PINOT NERO and this was a hit!! I'm a red wine drinker and this was so smooth and full of flavor! We had the fried homemade mozzarella and the Parmesan risotto fries to start (thanks Chef) and they were perfect!! I ordered the Pappardelle with Sausage Ragu and instead of the salad I had the Pancetta and onion soup! The consistency, the flavor, the temperature of the soup, all perfect! The pasta was so fresh, the sausage had an amazing taste and the sauce was perfect! My cousin ordered the chicken Alfredo Alfredo and the chicken was seasoned perfectly!! The sauce to pasta ratio was spot on!! For dessert we had the limoncello marscapone cake and yall... the freshest, most moist slice of cake I've ever had! The flavor of the lemon was not too overpowering and it did not stand a chance on that table! 10/10 recommend!!“
“We had a very enjoyable lunch here. The restaurant was very clean and well kept. The staff definitely works to keep the restaurant looking nice and smelling clean. Our food was fresh and made quickly. Our waitress was very attentive, kind and friendly. My margarita was strong and very large, both things I enjoy when drinking a margarita.I’d recommend giving this restaurant a try! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!!“
“We went along with our family friends and had nice dining experience. Everything we ordered was great and tasted well. Shrimp Taco, Fish Taco, North Atlantic Salmon and other appetizers were the best. Would love to visit this place again and recommend to the familiesParking: Its in the mall“
“I’ve eaten here for the past two weekends. The #1 jumbo males are my favorite. Last weekend I came as soon as he opened and requested to pick them up 3 hours later. Upon my arrival the owner had them boxed up and ready to go. My family was overjoyed with how fresh and succulent they were. Today was no different when I visited to get my #1 males. Same great customer service and amazing product for the past 20+ years we’ve visited.“
“I’ve been eating at Sams for over 5 years. And they have never disappointed in any level. The seafood is always fresh and the greatest thing about Sams is you can call in your order, wait while it is prepared and talk it up with the owner who is super cool and show gratitude for your business. Yes there is only one Sams and people around the city loves his food. Also Sams has prepared southern foods. The ribs are to die for, the baked chicken is so tender with your choice of fresh vegetables. Way to go Sams! You and your staff are AWESOME! See you soon bro“
“Listen!!! The customer service was Amazing. Niecy made some bomb ? drinks!! She has tons of experience. Our waitress Latoya was on point, an was the life of the party. She referred my friend an I to some food and drink specials. There manager "Layla " came out an made adjustments to accommodate me ... Amazing work from all parties. Great food , great service. I am extremely excited an full !!! I would recommend friends, family, others etc. Thank u for such a great place an wonderful people ?!“
“Absolutely perfect experience (and we even saw entertainer Craig Robinson!)Chill vibe! Good music! Great food! Lots of Black Girl Magic and Black Boy (MAN!) Joy from the staff!Went on a Saturday at 3:45 pm. We waited 30 minutes - reasonable considering how packed it was. Journey, hostess, was so sweet! We requested to change our booth to a table so we’d have a high chair for our toddler. She quickly got us into another section. Our first server India China (sp?) was cheerful and kind. Our second server Isiah was upbeat, respectful and gave some awesome recommendations. The oyster’s Rockefeller were yummy! My hubby had the Croaker’s Kool Aid (adult beverage). Said it was good. The kids meal portion size was huge!! I ordered the ultimate feast!! Enough food for two or three people! Oh, it was DELICIOUS!! My hubby had the seafood feast and it, too, was large portion. Everything was seasoned well. Our sides included Mac & cheese, candied yams, collards, cabbage, and red mashed potatoes (laaaawd!) We had the -itis!!We all ordered a slice of cake (carrot; banana pudding; pineapple coconut) and a mini sweet potato pie to take home. We had 4 to-go boxes filled with food!We will definitely return the next time we are in RVA!!!Parking: We parked in a lot one street up. It was crowded and lots of puddles (was raining). There are no parking lines so folks were haphazard parked.Kid-friendliness: Hostess and servers were great to our kids!“
“a truly west end establishment that has been here for decades, i know because I have!! great food, fast service, clean inviting atmosphere and prices are on par if not a bit lower than similar places. they have the famous white sauce here too!“
“Went to a concert at the Broadberry. Got the munchies, so we walked down to Cabo Fish Taco in Scott’s Addition and scarfed up the carnita tacos! The tacos were absolutely yummy! We also loved the “make your own guacamole”, chips, and corn salsa. Abby was the sweetest - serving up delicious food with a kind smile! We will be back on another Friday for Trivia Night!“
“Many have already said it, but this is kind of one of those hidden gems. Never really busy inside, but definitely always busy for takeout and delivery service orders. This isn't like a fancy date night kinda place, but it's definitely a place for a great meal when not worried about the ambiance. It's a rather open place with the seating being right by the sushi bar and open to the entrance all in one view, and there is like another section of the restaurant behind that wall, but I think they only use it if busy/full it seems. Service is okay and pretty typical for what you get at most hibachi style restaurants, which is not personable but just checklist style. I'm okay with it though as long as it's attentive and my drink isn't empty, so no worries because this spot is intimate enough to be checked on and constantly see your server. Sushi here is fresh and delish. This time I ordered just a spider roll as an appetizer, but have had the pleasure of trying many different sushi options here before. Definitely a good choice to try something. I really like their hibachi, despite them not having a grill where you get the show and it's cooked in front of you. Honestly, sometimes (most times) I don't want the show and just want to eat lol so I actually like that I get my food in about 20 mins! The only things I wish they would change is to cut the veggies more and bring out yum yum and/or ginger sauce without having to ask for it. Either way food is great. I've also ordered takeout during lunch and prices are great and portions are decent. I always appreciate consistency between lunch and dinner and dine in vs takeout for a restaurant, and they are consistent regardless of how you dine. I like that it's kinda low key in the cut and never packed and pretty intimate for a quick hibachi or sushi dinner!“
“Don't be deceived by the simple decor. The food is excellent! We both had tilefish entree. Fresh and well prepared, sitting atop a nice size bed of braised veggies. I'd requested lo sodium. And voila! That's exactly what i received. Friendly service. Prices reasonable. Highly recommended.“
“Chose this Chinese for a catering event. In one word . Fantastic! Food great, plentiful. Been to the restaurant also many times and never disappointed. Spicy ribs a favorite. Mongolian beef another. GO HERE!Vegetarian options: Vegetable lo mein and fried rice are really good.Wheelchair accessibility: Spacious entrance and walkway.“
“A take-out restaurant for sandwiches and salads. Run by an elderly Asian couple. I was there at 2p and got a classic club sandwich (split in 4 corners and delicious ?), and I even saw a park bench for sale inside. I had a similar one at home and wanted to make a pair, so I also bought a great park bench that the man got from his friend in Poland! Will come again soon.“
“Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere! An extremely lovely experience overall. Very accommodating when I requested a dairy free meal. 10/10 The bartender (Justin) and chef (Adam) made the meal even more personable and enjoyable. Thank you!“
“Okay So This One Is Lengthy But PLEASE READ !! I’ve Eaten Here 3 Times (2 Delivery 1 Dine In ) Before & Never Had A Issue Before The Incident That Took Place On 2/15/24. I Decided To Order Delivery Because They Are Just A Little Cheaper Then Competitors & I Like How They Plate It In The Pans. This Time Everything Was Going Smooth Until I Noticed An Issue With My Crablegs. I Called The Store Immediately. I Thought I Was Getting The Normal Run Around But The Owner Actually Did Reach Out & Went Out His Way To Make Things Right ! That Really Shocked Me ! He Did Make Things Right ! For His Courtesy I Just Wanna Say This is The Place To Eat With Your Family & Get A Great Boil & Seafood ! Because He Made Things Right I Will Continue To Support This Business ! I Just Felt Like This Should Be Shared Because The Way He’s Involved In His Business & He Went Above & Beyond To Make Things Right It’s Seriously Unbelievable“
“Great place for history and food. It is expensive but worth the experience. Heather was our server and she was so attentive and gave us an overview of the history. Amazing experience. I would recommend to anyone looking for an amazing experience.“
“David was our waiter and he was such a great host. It was my husband and I first time there and he took the time to explain what items were his picks, what it had in it and the Valentine's special they had running as a special. The food was pretty good, the atmosphere was a bit lack luster but the service was excellent !! I ordered the lobster tails and my husband ordered the pork chop, every item on the menu came A la carte so it could be quite expensive. We got the Brussel sprouts and a pear blue cheese salad and they both were really tasty.I also ordered a long Island ice tea and it was pretty good. It made me a bit tipsy. We both said we'd try the restaurant again in the future.“
“HI GUYS THIS PLACE IS AMAZING, as long as you aren't being served by the guy with glasses ?, then you're good. Prices are amazing. The owner and staff respects people of all colors and nationality. The food is safe, it will save you if you're on your last dollar and need something for $6-$9 full plates. SUPPORT THEM THEY GOT YOU. just request not to be around the dude with glasses. Enjoy“
“I recently had the privilege of dining at this fine establishment after a friend of mine suggested it. Make a reservation well in advance! The place is tiny with the tables crammed in, which makes for a cozy dining experience as long as you don't mind sitting so close to the other tables. With that many people in there, it gets loud!! Sometimes it was hard to hear my date, so if you are looking for a quiet atmosphere, this isn't it. Our reservation was at 915pm and by the time we were done half the tables had cleared out. This place runs like a well-oiled machine! It was fun watching everyone rotate around like they were almost dancing. Now for the food. To start, you get a little loaf of bread, nothing to write home about. It's cold, we both agreed it would be better warm. My date ordered the clams in white sauce that come on spaghetti. She liked it but said it was unexpectedly spicy. I got the carbonara with spaghetti and it was delicious. It had a very strong black pepper profile, which I liked. You can tell the ingredients are of great quality. THE PORTIONS ARE HUGE!!!! They don't warn you of that on the menu; I'd say it's family-sized portions that are meant to be shared. My lovely date had a gin martini which in my opinion had a little bit too much vermouth, and I had a vodka tonic which was pretty standard. Unfortunately neither one of us saved room for dessert. The leftovers we took home will be enough for another meal ?. All in all, it was a great dining experience, my only complaint would be the noise level, but that can't really be helped. The whole atmosphere felt electric and alive. This place is now on my "Will Go Back" list!“
“Very pleased with my first experience at this restaurant. It was a Monday lunch solo outing. I was tempted to get calamari as a meal but decided on the “Tacombo” lunch. It featured a soup or salad, I got the crab chowder, two bang bang shrimp tacos, and a side of fries. Everything was fresh and delivered in timely manner. My server, Emily, was the perfect amount of attentive and friendly. The rest of the FOH staff was welcoming and helpful. The BOH did a fantastic job with the food and the timing of each dish. No complaints what so ever. I will be returning to try the calamari!“
“I went on the weekend with my family and it was the best seafood boils we’ve had in Richmond. The works sauce medium is my top recommendation for the boil bags. The wings and fried food were really good too. They were busy, but food came out on time and service was outstanding. Highly recommend this establishment!“
“We tried this spot out today for my birthday. I was craving some good seafood. My husband and I were not disappointed! I was doing the happy dance in my seat while peeling some amazing shrimp, lobster tail and crab legs in awesome Twisted sauce. We will definitely be going back! What a wonderful surprise this place was! Our waitress was so sweet, fun and attentive to us. Shout out to Antashia! I'm already trying to plan our next trip to Twisted Crab!“
“I had the burrito de la Mexicana and it was amazing! I also had xango, the dessert, and it was sweet and crunchy. The music was banger after banger, I just wanted to get up and dance! I can't wait to come back and try more food entrees!“
“This is my favorite seafood boil restaurant and probably the 5th time I’ve come here since they opened (also ordered plenty of to go orders and I always leave satisfied. We dined here on Valentine’s Day and were seated immediately. The restaurant is spacious so I don’t think I’ve ever waited long. Our server Darrell was phenomenal. The food as usual did not disappoint. I love love the Cajun fried rice and catfish sliders (no tartar, add lettuce, remoulade sauce on the side) and had been looking forward to those for a week. We tried the battered buffalo wings for the first time and they were cooked and seasoned perfectly; would definitely order again. We also did a custom boil with 1/2 lb of each: crab legs, shrimp, sausage with the boil bay sauce and was the perfect amount for us. 10/10 experience per usual!“
“We visited tonight as we recently discovered how relaxed and inviting Stony Point is. We enjoyed a charcuterie board and drinks and especially the friendly staff. As our dog was watching from the door, they offered to deliver our food outside, then went back for a carafe of water for us. Delicious food and outstanding service, next time we’ll be trying the cheesecake and coffees too.“
“BEST SEAFOOD BOIL IN RVA. Just wanted to get that out there. Now, I've been going to sauce & toss since 2020, and they never disappoint. Lately it has been renovated to have a convenience store in half of it and the other half has seats for dinning. This is interesting but I guess it works for them. The overall vibe is casual, the decor and the overall "sea" theme is really cute. The service is always great and they are very attentive and kind. My bf and I always get bucket #4 and we got it spicy. I have noticed that the portions have gotten a lot smaller over the years. It's incredibly delicious. Then we get the Korean sweet chili wings which is also a FAVORITE of mine on the menu and the fries. I would rate this 20/10. It's so good! It's a little pricey I do have to say, our total was $120 before tip.“
“Great Jamaican food - fresh and flavorful. Even better hospitality - friendly and nice. Our family of 4 grabbed the last 4 chicken patties available that Sunday afternoon. Yummy and truly whetted our appetites. Jerk chicken and curry chicken our entrees for the day - no try goat or seafood. Got mixed sides - rice and peas. Tender chicken just melted into our mouths. Perfectly spiced too.Lady pampered us with her lovely talk about Indians in Jamaica. She kindly introduced our family to the chef and her niece owner. Lotsa to go customers. We were the only ones to eat on the bar stools. Clearly they are mostly take out.Got 2 Jamaican fruit juice bottles - ginger and the fruit medley. Kid loved it. Quite sugary though. Should have stuck just to the food. Anyways this is another addition to our must eat local list and we will definitely be back! An affordable tasty Caribbean joint.“
“Delicious! I was thinking about how good it was all the next day! Also I have a pretty severe allergy. I explained it to the server and she made sure the kitchen knew. The manager even came out to make sure what they were making was ok. I felt very safe with the kitchen, which is not the case a lot of the time. I highly recommend giving this place a try!“
“This restaurant has never let me down. I was ordering from them off of a delivery app but I finally decided to save myself some money and visit them in person. The staff was super friendly and the food was really good. I recommend the sausage neapoletana it has been my go to. Highly recommended!“
“Stopped by here on a whim when I had a taste for fried chicken. This location is actually inside a gas station - Exxon- and the storefront is called the Lovely Market. Anyway, I went in, got a three piece dark meat and a biscuit. I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. The chicken was tender and spiced very nicely; wasn't old at all. The breading was thin (not crackly like Popeyes), but oh so delicious! The biscuit, with it's sort of spiral shape, and topped with honey and butter was delicious as well. I didn't get to eat everything in one setting, but later reheated it at home. Still delicious as ever. I would wholeheartedly return here!“
