“This place is adorable, but I was unaware it was inside the HMart (back right corner when you enter) it's a little cold since it's by grocery freezers so I don't really recommend it as a cafe to hang out or lounge in. But they do have some cozy table to do so if you like. I had a purple latte. They are like alot of other Korean bakeries in the area as far their tea, coffee, and bakery offerings, altho a little bit higher priced than some of the others I usually go to in Annandale. Castella loafs were $4 each which I buy often elsewhere. The staff is kind and was also wonderful at letting us and other shoppers know that all their breads were going on 50% off at 630 and it seemed to draw a timely crowd. Would not make a special trip for this bakery, but it is nice to know it is there and should stop by when I go to this HMart.“

“I always get their Pistachio latte and it's always great! It can be very busy in the morning especially on the weekends. They don't really have a lot of space in there, so it gets crowded sometimes. But it's still one of my favorite coffee places in “

“My new favorite Cafe. My cousin from California wanted to try a Cafe. I normally don't go to Cafes but stumbled across Hahu and I'm so glad we did. I have been there several times since then and have tried their breakfast, lunch, and desserts. I've also tried their matcha and coffee and everything have been excellent from the service to their food and drinks. They're Ethiopian dishes are amazing. I never had Ethiopian food but I love trying new foods and they did not disappoint. Even the American dishes are delicious. It's my new spot to just relax and enjoy some good food, drinks, and atmosphere. I highly recommend this Cafe, you won't be disappointed.“

“Sunday brunch shouldn’t be missed at Borek G, had a great spread of eggs, simit, dips and spreads. Also not to be missed are the Turkish coffee and tea, along with a piece of baklava for a sweet ending. Service is fantastic at this family owned resto and all the little details add up to a wonderful experience.“

“The ambience, layout and decorations were 10 out of 10. The food was great as well. However, I thought the food could have been served in better platter. The service was great as well with friendly workers. I would definitely go back here again.“

“Totally recommend a visit to this very affordable and fun location. The Chit Chat Cafe is in a gas station but it's super clean and very welcoming. And you will find easy parking. The service is also welcome and easy. You can order ahead or just look for a menu at the check out counter to order with the clerk. You can grab premade mango lassi (a MUST get) or get chais from premade from a machine (also exceptional). There is also a hot food holder for the samosas. Which I also 100% recommend Ordered the burrito and a vegetarian sampler. This is where it was hit or miss for me. All very well made and flavorful but I didn't love all the flavors... the butter chicken burrito was pretty great, excellent sauce. The veg platter was less perfect. First saag ever that I have not enjoyed and the dal makhani also was not to my taste. I think just a flavor preference as many things were fantastic. So give it a try and find the thing you love. It's worth the visit. It's also near the meadowlark botanical gardens and was a great treat after our visit there!“

“Lovely cafe with European cafe music, like I'm dining in the Ratatouille movie. They have a nice, unique selection of ice cream, that changes from time to time. Flavors like cherry blossom or lavender, or standards like chocolate. I've tried the lavender (a light, refreshing flavor like vanilla), pistachio, chocolate, Oreo, and Snickers. I've also had a chocolate and peanut butter cup milkshake. The prices are decent, $5.85 for a small, 2 flavors. They also have sandwiches and pastries. The cherry croissant was good. The De Vienna Supreme (Italian meat) panini was good. The egg sandwich was ok but kinda expensive.Their WiFi is easy to access.I discovered the place two weeks ago, and have been there 3 times.“
“Great value! Delicious food..sandwiches as well as their hot bar! The best place in Tyson's for lunch“

“We just randomly picked this for brunch before we drive back home after a weekend in DC. I'm not exaggerating that is was the best part of the trip. I took pictures cuz it was so beautiful. We ate outside and we're surrounded by natural beauty. The food was excellent too. If anything, it was so rich, I couldn't eat it all. Coffee was great. If you end up in that area on a nice day, go get brunch outside. You won't regret it.“

“I love it when an owner of a small business pays great attention to every complaint, feedback or concern conveyed by a customer.I used to live within walking distance to this place. I loved the atmosphere, the quality of coffee and baked goods and the general vibe of the shop. One time while I was placing an order at the cashier, I noticed the lady taking my order was treating me poorly and rolling her eyes when I changed my preference for a breakfast choice and finally threw the receipt on the counter for me to pick up. I understand people have bad days, but you can't be rude if working in the front-facing part of a popular coffee shop. I went back to my table in dismay, when I noticed that the barista by the coffee machine acted like she is the manager giving orders to the others on how to go about running their stations. So, I approached her and asked if she is indeed the manager, and she said she is actually the owner. I conveyed my complaint to her without pointing fingers and she immediately apologized and offered me a free pastry. She promised to improve the training and make sure no other customer gets this poor treatment.I RESPECT excellent customer service. Kudos to this place.“

“This is my favorite place to get lunch during the week. The staff is beyond friendly and the food is always delicious and affordable. I have tried their burgers, Sandwiches, and subs and I have yet to be disappointed in something. My go-to meal is the Chicken steak and cheese combo.. so good! If this place was open on the weekends I would eat here as well.“

“I was in the mood for pancakes, but not really any decent places to choose from in the Gunston area. A quick Google search turned this place up, and boy was I happy to find it!! Pancakes were light, fluffy, and buttery and spot on. I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other things on the menu. The young lady that took my order was very sweet. The establishment was very clean and well organized, which is the opposite of all other business park eateries I’ve been in. Will be going back often. :)“

“Gathering Grounds has some nice coffee. I would personally recommend their hot coffee drinks, because whatever milk for the latte has a nice steaminess to it, hence the latte. The iced coffees are also pretty good, but I personally prefer the hot coffees more. The chocolate croissant is pretty good, and tastes like it just came out of the oven. I also like the ginger tea from here. If I had a suggestion, however, it would be to offer more options for sandwiches or wraps the way Starbucks does. Maybe some turkey bacon, or chicken.Servers are nice, but I do wish that they had more seating as the place can get easily cramped, but when they are available, I really enjoy the lounge chairs.“

“It was a really cozy cafe that served well for chatting or reading. It's a smaller space so it could get a little packed. Both the egg coffee and the stir fried egg noodle were decent but I wished that had the price tags on the menu so it's more transparent.“

“Yelp doesn't lie, this place is a top notch breakfast choice in the Falls Church area. There were lots of cars out front so I was worried it would be a wait but the place is much bigger than you'd think so we got a table without a wait on a Saturday morning. The food is large portions and everything was hot, fresh and tasty. The carrot cake and pecan pancakes were enjoyable and even though I was hungry I couldn't finish the second one and might just get one next time. The grits are also fresh and tasty and the million dollar bacon lived up to its reputation as a must try. The coffee was hot and enjoyable as well and they left the pot on the table so no waiting for refills. This place is worth a try if you're in the Falls Church area and I'll be back again sometime.“

“Whether you are a coffee connoisseur or just drinking for the caffeine, this place is perfect for you. They treat every customer like family and will take the time to ask you about your flavor profile and what time of coffee you typically like and then they proceed to provide you with an amazing coffee experience with the most delicious pour overs to espresso based drinks you've ever had. Watching them work is an added plus. They pay so much attention to each step of the process from when they freshly grind your beans to when they pull your shot or make your pour over, you can see them deep in thought; fully engaged in the process. They are constantly rotating their beans, bringing in award winning specialty coffee beans from all over the world. They usually have the beans for sale as well in case you love it and want to take some home.“

“Usually First Watch is very good. Good food and good service. Kind of a slow wait, if you get there around 10am on Sunday. Unfortunately, Sunday, April 21 wasn't as good. Got there about 7:45am. Hubby and I got sat to the left of the bar area. Sat for about 10 minutes. A guy, by himself, got seated in the same area. He was served his coffee and his order was taken. I said to the server, "Don't forget about us over here." She looked over and then left. We waited a few minutes, then got up and asked to speak to the manager. He said sorry about that, we can seat you in another area if you'd like. I noticed the server starting out, then she turned around and went the other way. Not sure what her problem was that day. So we went to IHOP, got sat and served right away.“

“A friend recommended this place and we are happy we tried it. Close to George Mason and located in a strip center. We arrived at 8:00 am and it wasn't too crowded. Our food was excellent and the pancakes were top notch. Clearly the cook knows how to run a kitchen.By the time we were ready to leave, the place had filled up and we had a very difficult time getting our waitress to get us the bill or a coffee refill. She had several large tables and pretty much dropped us.When I gave her my card, I watched as she tossed it adjacent to the drink machine and it stayed there for almost 10 minutes. Finally, I got up and asked someone else to take care of it for us.We would come back, but when it fills up, I suppose the service slows down.“

“Got the bulgogi bowl, which had that yummy crispiness but I wish there was more radish! I also had the cozy health smoothie, which was delicious and thick so definitely worth 7$! “I worked an internship in the same building as this restaurant for 2 weeks. The first day, someone at the company told me about the restaurant, so I decided to go there for lunch on my first day. I got a Triple Club sandwich without the lettuce and tomato. Let me tell you, it was the best damn sandwich I have had in my life. I went back there every single day, and tipped 20% every time because the owners were such lovely people. It was $20, which equated to an hour and a half of work for this sandwich every day, and it was worth it every single time. I’m heading back to college tomorrow and I genuinely think the thing I will miss the most will be this restaurant. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend this place!“

“Refreshing and a great sweet treat while still feeling healthy I ordered the nutty acai and was surprised by how much I enjoyed this. The acai is a nice tart balance to the sweet nutella, and the granola and coconut add great texture to every bite as well. Fresh strawberries and banana top this bowl off to make it delicious! A very sweet woman working up front as well, it felt comfortable in there. I know the price is a bit steep for an acai bowl, however, I can see myself being full after eating this bowl (I got a medium) and I wouldn't go out of my way to buy all these ingredients and toppings to make it myself, so get yourself a treat and support local :)“

“This is a hole in the wall for Bolivian food! The mixed rice that's a bit red was really good. I don't have a picture of it but get that rice rather than the rice that is watery. They have different kinds! This short rib was thick and tasty and they have lots of sauces for you too. The spicy one on the table is SPICY but good! Overall recommend for you to stop by for a quick meal on a budget. They also have pastries and cheesy breads that are so good! This was a 3.7 for me, but i rounded up!“

“Decent standard American brunch fare, good portions, and excellent service. Super noisy, which is to be expected. “I was very happy with my decision to stop by here before a performance at The State Theatre. I have a lot of food restrictions and not only did they already have options for me, but they were also able to accommodate a couple of swaps so I could stay compliant to my diet. I was with 3 others and we were all very happy with our selections which were all very different. My husband got a steak and was thrilled that they actually served it as he ordered ( rare). I had the brown rice/chick pea bowl with avocado (YUM) and my friends had pizza. Will definitely come here again!!! Sorry that I did not take photos! My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the ambience which is what it is ( it's not really a sit down restaurant- more like a market) and I knew that going in. Loved the food tho.“
“The place itself is beautifully comfortable seating, very nice outdoors, and a wide range of hookah flavors to choose from. Whether you're a seasoned hookah smoker or a newcomer, the knowledgeable staff will guide you through the selection process and ensure a memorable experience. The hookahs are of the highest quality, producing thick and flavorful smoke that will make you return for more.“

“Went here on a relaxing afternoon; I definitely wanted to check out this place since I heard good things about their coffee. Located in the Mosaic District, it's right across from my favorite beauty store Sephora. I think the place is very small but there are many tables to sit down at once you get your food/drinks. I can see it being a great place to hang out or grab a quick bite before the next big event. There's a touch screen outside if you want to order from there too and I think that adds more ease if you don't feel like stepping into the store. That's a plus on convivence. I got the Mojito Cold Brew consisting of Cold Brew Coffee, Mint, Lime, Cuban Crema. I honestly think that it was a very unique taste as I could taste more of the mint than the crema itself but not much of the lime either. It was a very strong cold brew and it would probably wake you up if you like bitter drinks. It was a seasonal drink for the Spring so I had to try it out. I also got three empanadas too! The Spicy Cauliflower Empanada, Chicken Empanada, and the Bacon, Egg, Cheese Empanada. The Spicy Cauliflower wasn't really spicy at all, it had a slight kick but there a lot of Cauliflower to chew. Very soft, I think people who love this would be thrilled there is an option for them. The Chicken Empanada was filled, and each bite there were juices leaking out of the Empanada. I really liked this one. The Bacon, Egg, Cheese Empanada? Absolutely the best out of the three. I would just come back just to order three of these. It reminds me of a hot pocket but wayyyyyy better. Give this place a try if you are in the area!“

“GREAT little deli tucked back in a business park. You probably would never even know it existed if you didn't work back there. They have all the typical deli offerings that any normal deli would have plus during the weekdays at lunch they have a buffet which works really well if you want a variety. I've only come here once during the lunch rush when it was open but everything that I had was pretty good (lasagna, vegetables, assorted other things). The spicy pork that they have is off the charts good. The buffet is what really sets this place apart from a typical deli which is neat. Their steak and cheese is also awesome.I've had many sandwiches of theirs and they are great, fresh bread, meat and veggies. They aren't stingy with the meat and the bread they use is good.It is very clean inside, and the ladies who work there are very friendly. I once came in with my girlfriend and all we wanted is some drinks and she made an exception on the $5 minimum credit purchase because we didn't have cash.TWO YEARS LATER: Still delicious, still affordable, still clean, and the owners are still super friendly. I love this place, been eating here for probably 20 years now!!!“
“Ok, this is a "First" review of a hidden gem I found in the waiting room of a Honda service centerI ordered the Fried pork belly with fried egg and rice and Korean iced coffee for a non traditional breakfast. “My wife typically always like getting a tea from Eden center. She'll cycle between this place, tea dm, mr wish and vivi tea. The tea at this place is alright, though I'm not the best judge cause they'll are pretty mediocre to me. That being said the food though was surprisingly good and the price was very amenable. Got it for the first time not too long ago and will definitely be back. For less than $12 you can get a healthy portion of popcorn chicken along with a hearty helping of rice, veggies, and half egg. It's a great lunch and even dinner option. Will definitely be back to try the other menu items.“
“Compass Coffee opened a month ago but I haven't had the chance to pay a visit until recently. Last friday when I went there was a promotion from their Instagram claiming that they were giving out free drinks for the whole day at this location. While the only other drink I had was their seasonal Sakura Latte I wanted to try out their cold brew. This place is spacious and it features lots of ample room to sit down to do work or hang out with friends. Ordering went smooth despite the wait. Since there's a lot of people wanting a free drink, it's going to take a bit longer. I got a Large Nitro Cold Brew Mint. Really refreshing if you like the taste of mint but it was enough to keep me awake. Surely I'd visit this place again as it's next door to my friend that lives across the street. I hope for the best for this place!“

“Best latte in Burke 10/10. This morning, I accidentally ordered a latte before the café opened. When I realized my mistake, I had to rush to my doctor's appointment and couldn't pick up the drink. I called to explain, and although it had already been made, I couldn't retrieve it until after my appointment. However, when I returned later, the kind girl behind the counter (didn't catch her name) kindly remade the latte for free. I'm grateful for her understanding and generosity. Thank you!“
