The food is excellent and the food service is really slow. We had a 5:15 PM reservation for four people, the restaurant was not crowded, and we barely got out of there in time for a 7 PM show. My recommendation is to go if you have plenty of time and you aren't really hungry. Even bread service took ages.
They made our experience incredibly amazing. We were there for a make-up Valentines and it was jusg stellar. I wish I had gotten our server's name - if the restaurant is reading this, she was a blonde woman - she exemplified incredible service. We were very happy that they had options that were gluten free and could be prepared for someone with celiac disease. My wife and I stopped in Cafe Frank last night after a movie. We had two small plates and shared an order of mussels. All prepared very well. The frito mixto was perfectly and very lightly fried. The Caesar salad was perfect. We had a young, helpful waitperson who told us the name of the restaurant is pronounced “cafe Frank”and not “cafe Fraunk.” Frank is a stuffed rooster perched above the bar.
