Môtier french pastry & cuisine is a hidden gem in Clifton, offering superb food and service with a cozy country French atmosphere. The staff is kind and accommodating, creating a welcoming cafe reminiscent of France. Their Niçoise salad, beef bourguignon, and crème brûlée are simply amazing, while the almond croissant and ham and cheese croissants are to die for. Although they offer a full lunch menu and Thursday dinners, their pastries are the highlight. Unfortunately, on a visit where the card reader was down, the pastries did not meet expectations. The chocolate almond croissant was chewy, the pain au chocolat was not as light and flaky as desired, and the caneles were doughy and chewy. Despite these missteps, the hardworking staff and charming ambiance make Môtier a place worth visiting for a taste of French cuisine.
