“Normally, I try to avoid eating at airports, especially at non- national chains. However, a few months ago I found myself at IAD with a long layover.We stopped by Bar Symon and it is potentially the best food I have ever had at an airport. I chose the Fat Doug Burger which has pastrami and swiss cheese on it. The menu may be limited, but what I got appeared to be well thought out and very nicely executed by the kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised and did not anticipate having such a good, burger at an airport.The server was courteous and took great care of us during the time we were there. She checked on us several times and quick with drink refills. The food was brought to our table quickly, and tasted as though it was fresh made. I do not fly into IAD frequently, but when I return, I will be certain to go Bar Symon. I just wish there was a freestanding one of these near me or even at my home airport.I noticed they did have a beyond burger for the vegetarians.It is airport food, so it is going to be pricy. However, it was in line with what i expected to pay at an airport and what I got was superior to anything else I have eaten at an airport for this price point.Vegetarian options: Beyond burger, plant based protein.“
“The Cheesecake Factory has consistently been our choice for celebrating special occasions with its fantastic food and ambiance. However, this time around, we were somewhat disappointed due to service delays and changes in the food's flavor. The delay could be attributed to a shortage of staff, which we understood. As for the food, the Fried Zucchini was overly salty, but our waiter kindly replaced it with Korean Fried Cauliflower. The remaining dishes were satisfactory. We enjoyed the Passion Mint Fizz virgin drink, and the restaurant's ambiance remained as pleasant as ever. “Great meal. Glad to see this place surviving after everything else has died with the mall that once supported them. We've been coming here since they opened when the kids were little. Absolutely the best when it comes to food allergies.“
“Update: Tried other food on the menus both breakfast and lunch. I think this place is my go to place now.This was a good find. I had a taco salad and it was very good. My friends ate taco and they loved it as well. I can't wait to try other food on the menu and their breakfast.“
