“I don’t think people are lying when they leave these bad reviews. The food and service were subpar along with their service. The credit card processor was down but we had to chase them down to get them to take the cards and then we’re told the machine was down. I’d advise cooking the veggies together to add more flavor, and setup up service for more add on sales and be faster with bussing tables. I promise better reviews with follow if you step up your service.“

“Absolutely great sushi and great service! Ordered the dragon roll, salmon lover roll, volcano roll, and 2 California rolls. Everything was perfect. We ordered take out after eating there several days prior (second pic with flying dragon roll). I’d say the price is very reasonable for such delicious and fresh sushi. Service was excellent. Will be our go to place for both dine in and take out!“

“An absolutely delightful dinner experience. Easy parking off to the side of the restaurant in a parking garage, free of charge. Roomy and atmospheric restaurant dining sitting. You can also have drinks at the outdoor patio bar before dinner. Our server was very polite, attentive and timely with drinks, food orders and check. The food was top grade for everything ordered, cooked exactly to order and great blend of tastes and spices. Truly a 5 star experience.Parking: Parking garage next to the restaurant is free for customers of the restaurant upon providing the vehicle plate number. Free after 4 pm in general.“

“It was good except that it was noisy because there were a lot of people.I ate it to go and it was delicious so I came and ate with my family.The YTS roll was especially delicious with fried green onions on top.Ikura is delicious and Agedashi Nohu is also delicious.In general, the food is saltyThis is one of the best sushi restaurants in America.There are two Ariake locations, but I like this one better than fairfax.This is a restaurant I want to visit again next time.“

“Love this little spot, it's around the corner from our office so we often go for lunch. I don't eat seafood, but my friends adore the sushi -- I used to live in Japan though, so even though I don't eat seafood, I love to go here for the delicious Tempura, Udon, Curry, and Katsu -- delicious and has a cozy environment with friendly staff! Oh and their house salad as the most delicious carrot ginger dressing!“

“Was recommended to eat here, and I'm SO glad I did! Immediately greeted by everyone! SO friendly & welcoming! I went on a Monday at 5PM, there was one lady seated on the opposite side of the restaurant, it never got crowded or loud. Servers are attentive to your needs. Very kind & sweet servers, warm & friendly! The food-- amazing!!! I ordered 7 different sushi rolls, they were all prepared very well & truly delicious. QUALITY you can tell & taste! The "Akira Moonlight" is my favorite, I've never had sushi with scallop in it & it's a MUST TRY! “When I choose the JP or Korean restaurant, I would like to try side dishes. I order Yoko salad, Takoyaki, Mango Salmon roll, and Fish Katsu.What I can say is I will come back again and again. The Fish Katsu (Fried fish) is the best fried fish I have had in my life besides my Mum’s cooking lol, not oily, thin and crispy flour, fresh, and delicious. I have been thinking of Takoyaki from the restaurant in Thailand, however this one nailed it lol. The salad dressing is beyond. Mango Salmon roll is creative. The Korean tea is perfect fit after the meal. Kamsahamnida for making such a great restaurant. “I recently took my mom to a restaurant for ramen, and we both liked it. The broth had a good balance of flavors and wasn't too salty. We ordered some other dishes to try, and they were all good. The restaurant's interior was surprisingly lovely, which we couldn't see from outside. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch.“

“This is Sushi Umi located in Herndon, VA. It's a great Japanese restaurant that has great food and sushi. The setting is super cute and the service was great. My waitress was really nice and attentive. She always made sure that I had everything I needed. The star of the show is the "Taste of Umi" which allows you to taste several dishes. My favorites were the eel and the fish roe!!! Just when I thought the meal was over, the chef gave me an extra piece on the house!!! It was a lovely tuna bite. Check it out if you have some time.“

“My wife and I live in SoCal. Our daughter and son-in-law live in Herndon, VA. Passion Fish is their favorite place to dine and they have always tried to get us to go. We were not disappointed. Everything about our visit was “out of this world”. We will do this again the next time we visit them.“

“After dining at numerous sushi restaurants, I can confidently say that Murasaki remains my favorite. Their Salmon Lover platter is a true masterpiece, consistently my go-to choice. In my opinion, Murasaki's salmon achieves the perfect balance in texture, fattiness, and flavor. Additionally, their rice is infused with the perfect amount of vinegar . During my latest visit, I tried the Three Amigos roll, and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious and impressive it was. It even made me consider expanding my usual order beyond the Salmon Lover. The staff at Murasaki were incredibly friendly, warm smiles. They checked in with us regularly and made sure our drinks were promptly refilled. Overall, Murasaki offers not only exceptional sushi but also outstanding service.“

“Chirashi bowl here is my favorite. It's assembly is so pretty and it's very filling. The variety and quality of fish is really good! Service is fast and accommodating even when busy. My dad's allergic to egg, so they make sure to avoid adding imitation crab in his dish. Ambiance is casual and comfortable for any occasion dining. Seatings a bit cozy because it's a bit smaller size restaurant, but it doesn't feel too claustrophobic.“

“Been here a handful of times. It's a decent go to for Japanese bento boxes and sushi at a decent price. Actually, the price is really good for the portion and food always seems to come out in a timely fashion. Quality is consistent and the taste is pretty good. Service is always friendly and the place always looks clean. They have so many sushi options to choose from and there's like 5 or so different bento boxes. There's a variety of items on the menu that caters to everyone's palette and dietary needs.“

“We don't get out to Ashburn much but happen to be in the area and drive by Passion Fin for an early Friday dinner. The place is pretty crowded a bit after 5pm and they must have approximately 10 to-go orders packed in front...great sign. We get a table for 2 and take a look at the menu. Standard Japanese fare/choices but they do have hibachi if you aren't into sushi so good to have options. The wife orders 2 rolls and I go with my standby - the chirashi. You get soup or salad (not both) and I go with the salad. I like the ginger dressing and they are not chintzy with the dressing which is a good thing. Our dinner comes out and the rolls are good. Nothing to jump up & down about but solid. The Chirashi is a bit disappointing- they give you a good amount of sashimi on top of rice but the rice isn't seasoned. Tastes like plain white rice. Also, there are no pickled veggies which is typically provided with Chirashi. Definitely had better, more authentic versions of Chirashi. I suppose Passion Fin is pretty good considering you are in the middle of the 'burbs in Virginia. Comparing it to other Japanese sushi joints it comes up a bit short. 3.5 stars is where I land.“

“I am by no means a Poke bowl connoisseur but I don't think I need to be to know this is the best in the area because it simply can't get much better. Everything is always fresh and tastes amazing. I wish I had pictures to share but I always eat it all before thinking to snap some lol. Don't hesitate just eat here!! (Also- apparently you can ask them to torch cook their salmon which I was unaware of but I saw someone do it and it looked amazing so definitely trying that next time!)“

“Tempura is excellent . I had the steak deluxe bento and daughter got the chicken. We share the shrimp and vegetable tempura which was excellent but the dipping sauce was very small .I think my daughter’s chicken was better than my steak which was a tad chewy. I didn’t get hot mustard with my spring roll which made its bit bland. Wasabi portion was so small that I could not even taste it. The food was typical for this price point, but the 45 minutes drive puts it too far out for a repeat visit.“

“This place is very spacious and the decorations really pop. Very clean to. The service was very good and they are quick and friendly as well as accommodating. I can't really recommend much bc we ordered all over the menu and everything came out delicious. The portions are pretty big too for sushi, the fish to rice ratio is very good. On a bit more pricier side but the quality and portions make up for it.“

“Such a great fusion spot that's open late! All of the dishes we got tasted delicious especially the Jiajangmyun! Great service and nice, clean restaurant. Would definitely recommend if you're in the mood for everything, a little Japanese, Korean, and etc.“

“I order take out from here weekly for lunch. I’ve been doing it for months and I rarely have a problem. I think the food quality is great! There is one girl up front who is ALWAYS on point. Her name is Kaylee? I think. She knows my name and what I order even though I literally come on to pick up food. I’m never disappointed with the service or food here.“

“We were first introduced to this restaurant living in Sacramento, so when we found out there was a restaurant here we had to try it out. The environment is nice, smaller than what we’re accustomed to but everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Some menu items weren’t listed but I’m sure they’d be able to make it if asked. One thing they do not offer is the 50% off sushi rolls menu. I decided to try their Bi Bim Bop and it was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered 2 rolls (Lion King and Golden Bridge) both delicious and our son ordered the Katsu Curry which he also enjoyed. “Tried the Leesburg location first and glad this opened up in Ashburn. Since it's a fairly new location, it was very nice and clean. The waitresses were very nice and friendly. Our sushi rolls were very delicious and filling. They also offer great Lunch Specials so check them out. Definitely a good spot for comfort food in the area.“

The roll in the photo is the 2011 roll but I’d also recommend the fantasy roll to anyone interested because it comes with this sauce that is to die for. The service is great. “Came on Friday during lunch time. We were a party of 5 but seated right away. The AYCE is not buffet style in that you go pick your food; you order from the waiter and they bring it out. It can take a while for a waiter to return so make sure to put in a full order while they're there. There is a fee for any food leftover so don't go crazy but be aware of the timing. For kids 3 and under the AYCE is free and they love the little ice cream containers for dessert. As for the food I recommend the hibachi and rice and edamame with most of their specialty rolls. All the sushi was good but the one with mango and sweet potato was a favorite and the fried specialty roll too. Would return.“

The sashimi and sushi rolls were exceptionally delicious, and the small portions allowed for a delightful sampling experience. However, it's worth noting that the replenishment of the bar can take some time, which might test your patience during peak hours. We ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi, chicken and salmon hibachi, chicken dumplings, shrimp tempura roll, and 2 extra yummy sauces and paid $32. Quick and polite service! We were starving and ate the sushi and dumplings on the way home but the shrimp tempura roll was my favorite! It was warm and crunchy but I think that’s intended since it’s fried but I loved it especially with the pickled ginger. My food was filling and so good I ate the majority of it without the yummy sauce in the car lol. No regrets stopping here for quick to go dinner!“

“I ordered the salmon teriyaki bento, which came out to a little over $27 after tax. Seemed a bit steep. The food came out beautifully presented and it was all very good, so I cannot complain too much, just a bit on the expensive side, even with inflation and being Northern Virginia. Service was friendly and the food didn't take terribly long to prepare. The California roll it came with did taste like it was high quality.“
