“Just finished a great lunch here. We settled in outside, Calvin took our order and shortly brought it to the table. A warm summer drizzle added to the ambiance under the wide table umbrella. After the second bite, the torrent hit and Calvin appeared to hustle us and our meals indoors to dryer accomodations. Thank you, Calvin for great service!!! And the chef is appreciated too as the food was first rate.“

“I got take-out from here, and it was quick and very, very good, i got a rueben with frys and for desert peanut butter pie. My wife got the drunken shrimp and a burger, and she absolutely loved it. The only thing i can say that was upsetting was my pie was upside down in the container, but it was still AMAZING LOL. Definitely recommend eating here!! Will 100 percent be back“

“We ate here by accident, because another restaurant was closed. What great fortune!! This place had great food, good ambiance and excellent conversation. We had come to this part of Virginia to see Polyface Farms, and this restaurant even has Polyface Farms chicken pot pie. We were very satisfied with our visit.“

“Absolutely loved this place. Went with my parents for their 25th anniversary and they gave us special menus that said "Happy 25th anniversary" which my parents really loved. Our waitress was extremely friendly, I wish i could remember their name. The cornbread is to die for. They're also very accommodating to dietary needs. They checked several times with the guy next to us to make sure they prepared his meal correctly. Very friendly and worth the price.“

“Lovely eclectic cafe. We came in a cold rainy day, and inside was warm and cheerful. I had a bagel with lox - a nice light bagel with lots and lots of sesame seeds, kind of like a large roll. The lox was tasty. Also had some chai with almond milk; not too spicy but very flavorful. Would definitely return.“

“Pizza was really good. We were somehow forgotten, and it took us over an hour to get our pizza, but they very nicely removed those from our ticket and tried to rectify the error. I just wish they had noticed we were waiting before it had been that long. But I'm really glad we waited until after the show to go, or we would have been very upset and really hungry at the play across the street.“

The staff here is very friendly and I enjoyed that. Cashier was very kind and it’s obvious that everybody here cares about their job and their guest. I was about to throw my food away when an employee insisted she would do that for me instead. Who does that? Nobody, you are lucky to have her. “Beautiful old building with delicious coffee, yummy food and friendly service. A must stop in Staunton. For my craft beer lovers, they have a decent selection of local beers and cider (fun fact, their singles are cheaper than the breweries). My wife has celiac, so you I need to let fellow celiacs know they have many good food and drink options and are very accommodating!“
