“This place is awesome!! Each dish is delicious and unique. You can tell that the owner has great attention to detail and cares about his customers. It is hard to choose between the Ramen, the burritos or the tacos but I’d have to say the burritos are by far the best I’ve had anywhere!!“

“My 100% favorite restaurant for tacos and burritos. The table salsa and pico de gallo are the best in the region, and quite possibly the best I've ever had. Everything is great here, but I especially love the Burrito Jalisco and the steak tacos. The service here is always friendly and on point.“

“I wish I would have taken pictures of the food, but just know it’s delicious! The staff was so friendly. I haven’t met such a friendly bunch in a while. We were supposed to eat an another place, but they were closed for an event. We all said thank goodness or we would have missed out on this place. The carnitas tacos were juicy shredded pieces of pork. The Achiote tacos weren’t dry and the flavors all were fresh. The super nachos are HUGE…like two people huge! The burrito bowl was the perfect size. Their refried beans, guac, and homemade tortillas were all delicious as well. The corn tortillas were the perfect thickness, this didn’t tear and fall apart as you ate. Their chips and homemade salsa were good and fresh too. I received a surprise pork belly taco….still drooling over it. The lady at the register ordered me one to try and it sounded like I was not going to like it, but I was WRONG. The crunchy corn nuts definitely were a yummy treat. The pork belly was perfectly cooked and not a fatty mess. I would definitely eat here again! Don’t be fooled by the small size, they serve up some big flavors!!“

“The steak huaraches are delicious. So much food. Ask for the green sauce. I love spicy foods but the red one was too much for me. The green is perfect heat. Expect to wait, especially at lunch time, but it’s worth it! We think to stop at his truck any time we go over the mountain.“

“Lunch buffet had many options, try the soup while you're there! Caldo des Res, it was delicious. Buffet was reasonably priced and very clean. Server wasn't rude but also wasn't excited about the delicious food they had and was very "meh". Queso was perfect. Interior is a little plain and it gets a little chilly if you're visiting during the winter months. We'll be back!“

“I was visiting family in the area and being from the west coast I've gotten used to having good, authentic, family Mexican restaurants and was pleased to find El Puerto in Waynesboro. Obviously with the local demographics they have toned down some of the original spices that one would normally find in Mexican cuisine but nonetheless it the food and service was good.“

“The food was delicious. It's the perfect little authentic place to grab a bite, if you're not looking for a mainstream restaurant feel. It's in the same building as a Hispanic grocery, there are pool tables between the grocery side and the restaurant side, and it has a very casual feel. If you expect and enjoy that kind of atmosphere, and if you like Mexican food, then you like it here.“

“The Los Marquez building used to be the old Tastee Freeze, located beside Gypsy Hill Park. The staff are super friendly, parking is ample, and the food has ALWAYS been delicious and reasonably priced! Actually, on my way there now for their Burrito Loco and Quesadilla Cancun.“

(Recently Valentines Day) The one place that I think they can improve is the women's restroom. I can't speak to the men's, but the women's always had a terrible odor. “We always get consistently good food and service at El Gran Puerto. We were seated right away and our server was attentive without being annoying. They started us with chips and salsa and brought more with our meal. The meals came quickly and were hot. I had the veggie fajitas hubby order several items ala carte, and we each had one beer. “I’m making this review on my second visit! The food is AMAZING! If you are from Lynchburg and enjoy La Caretta, I HIGHLY recommend Los Panchos. The chips and salsa are delicious, following along with the main courses and cheese dip, Oh My Gosh, it is amazing! The service was okay, not too slow but not bad, our servers were attentive. The atmosphere was calming, I was with my loved ones and we had a great time! People are quiet, but that’s okay with me!“
