“One of the best if not the BEST Italian restaurant in Virginia. My friend and I were in total awe. After living in Italy for 4 years I can say, I felt like I was back. The restaurant is owned by a Sicilian family, and you could taste that with every bite you took of the absolutely scrumptious food. It was so wonderful. The location of the restaurant is in a shopping center but don’t be deceived by that once you walk in your back in Italy. Many little restaurants like this there!!! I can’t wait to go back. You won’t be disappointed. ❤️❤️“

“We both got hamburger steak and I I ordered mine well done.it was rare.the onions were supposed to be sautéed and they were like they never had been heated.they were tough.put in the pan and took right out.the soup was like condensed soup with rice added.the corn the same way.hard as a rock.nasty.i have never been disappointed with nicks as I was this trip“

“Hands down best pizza on the peninsula- we were weekly regulars at another local spot but now we make the drive from the south end of Hampton to north Newport News to pick it up at least every other week+. For what it’s worth, my tiny grandmother, who grew up in Queens and traveled from Long Island to visit with us for this past holiday, ate half of one of these huge pizzas. And she never eats anything. All that being said, I must admit, the quality has somewhat declined over the past several months. The customer service has not felt… overly accommodating. But we really weren’t concerned with that as much as our order being accurate and the pizza being fresh and delicious. Going forward, (and as advice to anyone who reads these reviews) I absolutely would not pay for “extra” anything on your pizza because you just will not get it. I thought/hoped that this was a one-off issue, or that it was simply a matter of a new cook working, etc.. but after our last three orders having discrepancies, and paying $80+ for two pizzas and garlic knots, I am having a hard time justifying the price, delicious as it is.I will order and make the drive at-least a time or two again and earnestly hope that Pizza Sam perseveres and becomes a mainstay on the peninsula ❤️“

“Carabba's did not dissapointed me. I visit this place for a to go order at lunchtime. I ordered my favorite dish pork chops. Soup was exquisite, and the bread was hot and fresh. I did not review the atmosphere because I just went there to pick up my order. Great job, Carraba"s“

“This is a special treat for our family, they always deliver fresh food and great service. The restaurant is incredibly clean and per my 6yr old the toilets flush great too (he’s the one that notices cleanliness of restaurants) I always recommend this gem!“

“The cook was very friendly and down to earth. I asked if I could get my bread separate from my Philly steak and cheese so it would not get soggy when I went to eat it later at work and the cook had no issues with that was super cool. Great looking food tasted a little bit because it's my first time here the rest I'm saving for my work lunch and the food is great good size portion too and the bread smells delicious. “Vancostas gives me a diner vibe. The restaurant has been around a while so it explains some of the dated decor. The decor had no affect on my food or the service provided to me because both were great!Heather was our waitress and she made sure to make our first experience an awesome one! I ordered the French toast breakfast which came with a side (I got bacon) and 2 eggs (mine were scrambled with cheese). My husband ordered steak & eggs and an extra order of toast. Our total was $40 including tip.You can use card or cash!“

I've lived in the area my whole life and are just now giving this place a try and I'm mad I didn't years ago. “I ordered food to be delivered. The order was promptly made and quickly arrived. The fries are cooked perfectly, not a fan of the ranch at all. The burger was great with fresh ingredients. I wish there was more of a description of the food in the app because I didn’t know it came with tomatoes. The mozzarella sticks are crispy and fat with cheese! Not a fan of the marina sauce, a bit too watery for me. Next time I will try their pizza.“

“So freaking good ! Should have taken a picture but we devoured that! I rate it a 8/8.5. Delivery was fast. They charge for everything condiment, which is annoying. The pizza was hot and fresh. The cheese pull was top tier. We order a supreme stuff pizza. I think they could have added more veggies. There wasn’t much veggies or meat. It felt like I was eating a pepperoni pizza with garden tomatoes sauce. Nonetheless I enjoyed it and want to try more from the menu. I recommend to try this place out.“

“We went to Poquoson Diner yesterday which was an especially busy day. Been there for breakfast many times but they had three large parties and yet the servers were just delightful. not once in the midst of the crowded restaurant was any of them complaining, always had smiles on their faces, and genuinely served everyone with a true sense of southern hospitality. I love this place and can't believe I lived so close to it for over 20 years before trying it! Great staff and great food!!“

“Food was so good! We had a large party of 20 people. They accommodated for the number of people. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. They did amazing with getting orders and separating checks. The ladies kept our drinks refilled and always asked if we needed anything else. Food came out a at good rate of time for a large party. Atmosphere was very relaxing and very clean. Will be one of my favorite places to eat in the future.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of options on the menu. Something on the menu for everyone. They made substations and omitted things for me to make it how I liked it. Amazing!Kid-friendliness: We had 8 kids in our party and they were all treated wonderfully and had no issues at all. “Had a couple of pick up orders wrong, sandwiches come standard with chips, so we ordered the fries for an extra charge but still got chips. Said something to the staff but no remedy...guess it was up to me to check . So check your order before you leave...otherwise the food is good and portions are large.“
