“First time ordering online. When I went in I got a little impatient and I apologize to the waitress. She was the only server at the time and I had no idea until she told me. Please accept my apologies. The subs were awesome as always and now I'm craving their pizza.“
“Hands down best pizza on the peninsula- we were weekly regulars at another local spot but now we make the drive from the south end of Hampton to north Newport News to pick it up at least every other week+. For what it’s worth, my tiny grandmother, who grew up in Queens and traveled from Long Island to visit with us for this past holiday, ate half of one of these huge pizzas. And she never eats anything. All that being said, I must admit, the quality has somewhat declined over the past several months. The customer service has not felt… overly accommodating. But we really weren’t concerned with that as much as our order being accurate and the pizza being fresh and delicious. Going forward, (and as advice to anyone who reads these reviews) I absolutely would not pay for “extra” anything on your pizza because you just will not get it. I thought/hoped that this was a one-off issue, or that it was simply a matter of a new cook working, etc.. but after our last three orders having discrepancies, and paying $80+ for two pizzas and garlic knots, I am having a hard time justifying the price, delicious as it is.I will order and make the drive at-least a time or two again and earnestly hope that Pizza Sam perseveres and becomes a mainstay on the peninsula ❤️“
“Second time visiting Franco's, first time I had a slice, this time ordered a whole pizza. We ordered the Blanca which is garlic, oil and mozzarella. It was delicious. My only complaint was that the bottom could have had a bit more undercarriage to it. I'd give it a 7.4 on the Portnoy scale. Will be back to try more. The owner popped his head out and check on us, very friendly guy!!“

“Had a fantastic lunch at Dino's Pizza. The veal sub was the best I have had. Bread was perfect and did not get soggy like every other sub does. The staff was friendly and I will definitely be back to try a variety of other menu items. I did not even take a photo because I just wanted to start eating right away.“

The decor had no affect on my food or the service provided to me because both were great!Heather was our waitress and she made sure to make our first experience an awesome one! I ordered the French toast breakfast which came with a side (I got bacon) and 2 eggs (mine were scrambled with cheese). My husband ordered steak & eggs and an extra order of toast. “Stopped here after church and it was busy but we got seated right away. Food was good and atmosphere was nice. It seems a little pricey at first but then you get a generous portion of food. We had the fish and chips, brunch Benedict, rodeo burger and BLT. All great dishes but my favorite was the onion rings!“

“We ordered takeout. Cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza. And don’t forget the wings. First impression was unimpressive. The crust looked funnny, similar to the crust used in Lou Malnatti’s deep dish but it was soft. I would have liked it to have been crispy. Actually, it was the next day when I heated it up in the toaster oven. While I was thrown off by the different crust? I actually really liked it. It had a nice texture and flavor. The cheese was very good as well and the sauce was good.The same thing happened to the wings. I was told they were breaded and deep fried and they weren’t tossed in any sauce; the only sauce options were Blue Cheese and Ranch—dipping sauces. Not my usual preference but I thought I’d give it a shot. Surprisingly the wings were quite good. They were massive, like the chickens were taking ‘roids or something.It was better than I thought it would be and it tasted better than it looked. Look forward to trying the sandwiches next.“
“I ordered food to be delivered. The order was promptly made and quickly arrived. The fries are cooked perfectly, not a fan of the ranch at all. The burger was great with fresh ingredients. I wish there was more of a description of the food in the app because I didn’t know it came with tomatoes. The mozzarella sticks are crispy and fat with cheese! Not a fan of the marina sauce, a bit too watery for me. Next time I will try their pizza.“

“I ordered take away this evening without calling ahead first (unusual for me). It gave me the opportunity to sit and catch up on some correspondence.I listened as the ladies behind the register answered the phones, greeted the constant stream of customers (most of them BY NAME), took payments, passed out to go orders. They did not stop while I was waiting for my order. They were friendly, courteous and seemed genuinely happy to be at work.The food is always amazing, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and the staff are always smiling.“

The cheese pull was top tier. We order a supreme stuff pizza. I think they could have added more veggies. There wasn’t much veggies or meat. It felt like I was eating a pepperoni pizza with garden tomatoes sauce. Nonetheless I enjoyed it and want to try more from the menu. I recommend to try this place out.“

“Food was so good! We had a large party of 20 people. They accommodated for the number of people. Staff were super friendly and very helpful. They did amazing with getting orders and separating checks. The ladies kept our drinks refilled and always asked if we needed anything else. Food came out a at good rate of time for a large party. Atmosphere was very relaxing and very clean. Will be one of my favorite places to eat in the future.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of options on the menu. Something on the menu for everyone. They made substations and omitted things for me to make it how I liked it. Amazing!Kid-friendliness: We had 8 kids in our party and they were all treated wonderfully and had no issues at all. Most of all patient, their was an elderly man in front of me in line the last time I came in to pick up a pizza. He was clearly somewhat confused about his order, and seemed slightly overwhelmed. Cause by this time the line had grown to around 8 customers. He started to say nevermind and leave, not wanting to hold everyone up, I assume. The young man behind the counter politely pulled the gentleman aside while another employee stepped up to take my order. After I already told them to take their time with the gentleman who was first. I could wait the extra few minutes. I was glad to see young men showing an elderly man respect and patience. By not letting him get flustered and give up.I couldn't recommend this establishment more. We ordered the bone out wings, they look like popcorn chicken but they are wings I guess, either way they were a hit. They deliver to Yogi Bear Campground Resort, you just have to pick up your order from the ranger station, we liked that they called when they were here so we weren't left wondering if the pizza was delivered. You are able to pay a tip ahead of time as well making delivery contactless. Delivery was fast. We will definitely order from them again on our next camp stay.“

“In my opinion, Papa Johns is the best take-out pizza chain. I have always found these pizzas to be made better than most other Papa Johns locations. I placed an online order for a specific pickup time, but arrived early. The staff here saw this and made my pizzas fresh such that I did not have to keep waiting. As I had my baby son with me, they even offered to carry my order to my car.“

“One of the best if not the BEST Italian restaurant in Virginia. My friend and I were in total awe. After living in Italy for 4 years I can say, I felt like I was back. The restaurant is owned by a Sicilian family, and you could taste that with every bite you took of the absolutely scrumptious food. It was so wonderful. The location of the restaurant is in a shopping center but don’t be deceived by that once you walk in your back in Italy. Many little restaurants like this there!!! I can’t wait to go back.
