“Probably the best dining experience i’ve had in a very very long time. The atmosphere of the restaurant is so nice. Our server was so nice and attentive and the food was FANTASTIC! We were raving about it the entire time we were eating it! Such complex flavors. Definitely recommend!!”
“Long post ahead, warning! I walked in around 9 pm and the hostess didn't bat an eye at my dining alone, and didn't say anything about it, which I appreciate. I was seated right away with no problems and immediately got a chance to look over the menu. I will admit, it took a little bit longer than expected for my waiter to come over, but as a lone diner I sort of expected that. I looked like I was waiting for someone, I'm sure. The look and feel of the place was very upscale, but they didn't have any problems with me walking in wearing a nerdy t-shirt. I was seated in this cute little booth for 2 with curtains on the side so, if I wanted a more private dinner, I could have it. It was a cute touch! The restaurant also offered patio dining and since it's by the creek, that would have been a downright charming experience were it not the usual Maryland summer. Despite having a bar, the restaurant was respectably quiet and low-key, making it an easy dining experience. I wasn't in the mood for something wild, and this place really hit the nail on the head. My first waiter Kevin, however, was the picture of polite helpfulness. He answered all of my questions, made some wonderful suggestions, and was incredibly pleasant to talk to. I was delighted to find out that this place takes part in DC restaurant week, so I was able to take part in that promotion. Under a suggestion from Kevin, I ordered a glass of their moscato (I wanted something light and sweet), and the wine was so good I brought home a whole bottle. Not really on them, but it does reflect their excellent selection. Dinner itself was delicious. The red pepper soup was refreshing and flavorful, without being too filling. The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and was flavored in the perfect way to make the actual flavor of the meat shine. The potatoes were both light and fluffy, but also had the little chunks of potato that I prefer in my mashed. The best part was desert. About halfway through my appetizer, Kevin introduced my other waiter, Maddy, who took over after he went home. She was as much of a delight as he was, and made possibly the best recommendation of the night. Desert was this blackberry tart that I did not have room for but could not put down. Gooey and crumbly all at once, with a warm center that was almost caramel-y even though it was fruit based. Topped with a light cream to balance it all out, it was absolutely delicious. I will be thinking of that tart all day tomorrow. The prices on the menu were a little high, but I wouldn't go so far to say they were unreasonable. If I had wanted a cheaper option, I could have gone to any chain restaurant ever. In the grand scheme of downtown Frederick, with it's many small businesses and one of a kind dining experiences, I think this was reasonable. For reference, a lot of meals were between $20 and $30, but a good steak is almost always $30+. Despite the price, I had an exceptional dining experience, and would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for upscale dining, without the upscale requirements.”
“The best vibe and amazing customer service . Food is a 10/10 I learn something new today as well . Thanks for great lunch”
“Absolutely phenomenal- the food is authentic and delicious, staff is so friendly, ambiance is lovely - they’ve hit it out of the park. Prices are fantastic too. We will be back on the regular!”

“We were visiting from out of state decided to drop in for lunch, Twisted Cat DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Great atmosphere and the burgers were AMAZING! It has become our favorite place to eat and we can’t wait to go back!!!!”
“I visited Cassanel for the first time in December 2022 it was the last of 4 wineries I visited that day. Long overdue review shame on me. Some friends and myself like going to different wineries every time we have a chance and I honestly been coming back to Cassanel more than any other winery I thought I liked before. Let's begin with the staff, the amazing people who works here always welcome everyone with an amazing smile and warmth atmosphere. Theresa was the first person I meet and she is beyond amazing. Such a beautiful human being. Never been a wine person because always end up with that one wine super dry and strong flavor that I couldn't drink. The have not one wine that I can say I didn't like....but do have my favorites José Rosé and Dolce 😍😍 Yesterday (June 26, 2023) had the opportunity to meet Mr. José who's been with them for over 12 years and takes amazing care of the grapes, then got to meet Mr. Nelson (the owner) he is a wonderfu man and full fo good vibes. We had a wonderful conversation full laugh and now I understand why this winery is so amazing. 100% recommend, wines are delicious and affordable.”

“Delicious food! We got two different wraps with the mixed meat. Full of flavor. And OMG the fries were perfect! We both tried the strawberry basil cocktail. Great balance of sweetness and very refreshing. The service was great and we enjoyed talking to the employees. Great atmosphere. We sat on the patio. And the decor is fun with the records and Virginia artists and famous people all around.”
“Omg! What a treasure this place is if you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine. I picked up a whole Tiramisu imported from Milan (frozen) to share with my BOOKCLUB ladies after reading Tartufo. It was not cheep, but oh So worth it!! I’ll be back. The owners are very helpful and sincerely charming. I felt like I was in the old country :)”
“🔥 MELT in Leesburg, VA – Where Burgers Become Royalty 🔥 Today my taste buds officially moved to a new zip code — Flavor Town, population: MELT. My wife and I finally made it to MELT in Leesburg after hearing great things, and let me just say… shame on us for waiting so long. Debbie, the owner (and now part-time head-bopper), greeted us like we were long-lost cousins showing up late to the family BBQ. When I told her it was our first visit, she gave me a playful bop on the head with our table number and asked, “What took you so long?” Touché, Debbie. Touché. Now onto the burgers… and yes, they deserve their own paragraph. I ordered the A Jazzed Up Swiss Burger — and let me tell you, this was no run-of-the-mill meat puck. We're talking Gruyère so rich it probably pays taxes in Switzerland, Black Forest ham that must’ve taken a first-class flight in, baby bella mushrooms sautéed to perfection, and a tangy smear of whole-grain mustard tying it all together. Every bite said, “Sir, this is not fast food — this is fine dining between buns.” My wife had the Paris Burger — imagine garlic-kissed beef topped with brie so creamy it probably auditioned for a romance film, with balsamic onions adding the drama. Let’s just say she stopped talking mid-bite. That’s how you know it’s good. The vibe? Casual but classy, with staff who treat you like family (the good side of the family, not the ones who borrow your tools and never bring them back). And yes… in a moment of grilled beef-fueled euphoria, I may have proclaimed myself the Burger King. Debbie gave me a look. I instantly realized my mistake. This isn’t that kind of burger joint. This is a burger experience. Saying "Burger King" here is like bringing boxed wine to a French vineyard. Long story short — go to MELT. Go now. Go often. And when Debbie bops you on the head, just smile… because that means you're officially part of the MELT kingdom. 👑🍔”

“We’re so glad we found Dunn From Scratch to make our wedding pumpkin pie! The pie was both beautiful and delicious, with a stunning lattice design that’s no easy feat with a pumpkin custard filling, but she pulled it off flawlessly. It looked great, tasted amazing, and was exactly what we envisioned for our fall wedding. Thank you for helping make our wedding dessert dreams come true!”
“Great meal at The Conche. We did the three course wine pairing and it was excellent. Salvador, our waiter was very knowledgeable and welcoming. Nice atmosphere and good vibe.”
“Good service and foods are delish definitely we’ll comeback here👍👍👍”
“This winery is great if you are looking for a good wine and peaceful place. It’s small but it has a great atmosphere. Their wines are excellent! I love their wine and chocolate praline tasting. We like this place for birthday parties as well as it’s usually not too crowded. Their outdoor is large with many places to sit. The indoor is small with just few tables. But as I mentioned, most of their members typically pick up their wines to go so it’s never an issue to find a spot to sit. The only negative thing I can say is that my kids don’t love going there because it’s not much to do for them, and the parking lot could use a bit of love. But we are members for about 6+ years and we truly like their wines. My family makes wines in Slovakia and I took them there as well and they enjoyed their wines a lot as well!”

“I had a fantastic experience at Golden China in Leesburg. It’s not easy to find Chinese food that’s fully halal, and this place delivers both in terms of quality and taste. The flavors are authentic, portions are generous, and the staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive. Highly recommended for anyone looking for halal Chinese cuisine without compromising on taste or service!”
“The food and wine are always outstanding and the hospitality is inviting, warm, and professional. Echelon is a staple for us when visiting RVA. Their Leesburg location is just as wonderful. Highly recommended for wine and appetizers if you’re on the go, or a relaxing and leisurely dinner if you have time to dine. We’ve tried an array of menu items and have swooned over each one. Book a table or grab a seat at the bar and try for yourself!”
“We recently hosted wedding reception in Silk Banquet. The event was great success and memorable. Food was amazing and the services was outstanding and professional. Special thanks to Sanjeev and Manas, they helped a lot with planning and their recommendations were spot on. Service with great track record, Highly recommend.”

“I was there last. night (Thursday) and the Octopus was delightful as was my 'ordinary' salmon plate with their delicious veggies....The home sparking pink wine served in an unusual goblet was ample and perfect (a substitute for the more expensive Brut when they didn't have theirs cooled._ The alternative was just as good. I'm no connoisseur but I know a good meal when I'm finished. Food ample and the less expensive dishes looked just as appetizing as the more expensive ones. I want to try almost everything once....”
“Update to my past review:
10/17/25
I'm happy to report that after reaching out to Moms about the pumpkin pie issue, Diane and Marylin could not have been more gracious. They gave me a replacement pie which was much better and did not have the separation and odd texture. So glad to know that our favorite seasonal pie is still here!!
10/13/25
What have they done to the pumpkin pie??! We look forward to the fall season just for the pumpkin pie at Moms. Made an intentional detour while in the area to pick one up. While I was not impressed with the presentation (it looked overcooked) I bought it anyway. Paid $30!! I was shocked at how expensive they have gotten, but I gladly paid because of we love this pie. However, I was sooo disappointed when I tried it with my family that evening. It did not taste good. There was a weird top layer that had an odd texture and gave it an interesting (not in a good way) taste. While I do not expect perfection, for the price, I do expect it taste great. My family did not even finish their slices and now I have a half not-eaten pie that I will likely have to throw out. Please, please, bring back the old wonderful and delicious pumpkin pie that we have loved for many years!!
2024
This rating reflects my overall experience. The pies here are some of the best I've ever had. Their pumpkin pies are a TREAT in my house during the fall season. Standing in a very, very long on the day before Thanksgiving has become somewhat of a tradition for me. I also love their Pecan pies and their Almond Chess. The only thing that irritates me about this place is that they almost NEVER pick up their phones. When they are ringing people up at the registers with credit cards it blocks up their phone lines. Please, get another connection so customers on the phone can more easily get through! The Leesburg store is teeny tiny and parking can sometimes be a bit of a nightmare. I tend to go off peak hours so that I can easily find a spot.”
“I had an event for St Patrick’s Day catered by Spanky’s Shenanigans. If 5 star is the top, this was 10 star. The food was absolutely delicious and more than plentiful. People raved about the Corner Beef and Cabbage and Fish and Chips. The food arrived in a timely fashion and was hot. Kolt the manager could not have been pleasanter or easier to work with. I look forward to future catered events with this restaurant. Cathleen”
“Cannot say enough great things about this family run restaurant!! A staple in the community for at least 20 years! Their delicious food is matched with their amazing philanthropic contributions to numerous charitable organizations!! Carolina is an absolute saint, the love she has for this community can be tasted in her food. I compare everyone’s hummus to hers. HANDS DOWN- THE BEST Greek “house dressing” like… can we purchase those things by the bottle already!! Kabobs are banging! Shesh Tawok is 🔥 🔥, pizza, calzones salads, burgers, even the soups are *chef kiss* - simply the best!”
“Best brew in Loudoun County! Staff are always friendly and brewery has a nice broad selection. The Märzen is brewed to perfection and a delight to stop by for a glass or take some to go!”

“NOT family friendly! We were rudely asked to bring the kids table inside when our grandkids were sitting at it. Joe was condescending and emphasized he didn't want us there all day! When I went back in to clarify what he was trying to convey he said he wanted the kids table inside. There were NO other children needing the table and they do not have any high chairs. This coffee shop is obviously NOT about the family. Joe was rude and was very annoyed with our family. It was obvious to us that kids and family were not welcome!! Very upsetting!! We will NOT be going back and will warn other families about this place.”
“Review is for the new PUPATELLA off Slater's Lane in Alexandria VA. It's in my neighborhood so we walked. Noticed limited # spot parking lot, minimal if any street parking. Went on opening day around 1145 am; got seated right away but servers were largely absent throughout stay. Took ~10 min for someone to show up to take our drink order and food order. Seasonal specials on the menu but not actually available to order yet. Went with soft drinks, margarita pizza, and brussels sprouts app. Food was fabulous and served quickly. No server appeared to check on us or to refill drinks; I believe the marketing manager ended up checking on us and helped out. Also no server to bring bill so we closed the tab at their point of sale system. Decor is plain; hopefully they will add some art to the walls at some point. Two unisex bathrooms were clean. Very narrow pathway to get to them past the indoor seating and the bar seating. Large folks and wheelchairs will struggle to navigate to the bathrooms. The usable space inside the narrow building is limited so not sure if this is a fixable issue. Patio seating is a mix of low tables and high tables/chairs, assortment of non-adjustable small umbrellas to block sun, looked like they could be moved around. Clearly dog-friendly, I saw at least three water bowls in use or available to use. Saw a lot of vehicle traffic on Slater's, but did not hear the traffic on Slater's or the GW parkway. Most tables inside and out were occupied; the music over the speakers and the ambient patron noise was loud enough to drown out traffic. There is an access road and line of trees between the restaurant and GW parkway which helps to minimize the traffic view. Food was worth another visit, though you should give them time to upskill their servers and perhaps hire more servers. Given the parking issue and the limited seating inside and out, I suspect this location is more suited for walking locals and carry-out than travelling diners. This location isn't really suited to be a destination dining experience.”
“So my little boy and I broke down on rt 7 right before closing. Krystal and her staff welcomed us in to sit while we waited on a ride and tow truck as we are hour and half from home. Thanks for being so kind and understanding and taking care of my impatient little man with some ice cream. Krystal you made the whole night better and I thank you from bottom of my heart!”
“We visited Leesburg last month and found this gem! And now I’m back home in PA watching the snow fall, realizing we have no groceries and craving their baked goods and breakfast sandwich! We ended up visiting twice while we were in Leesburg and my only regret is not visiting a third, fourth and fifth time. I can’t remember the name of the danish I had but it was like a sweet French croissant. (Side note, we had the ham and the bacon and egg sandwiches and they were HUGE and so yummy!) 5 STARS! *****”
“l've been hearing so much hype about Crumb and Clover and now can personally confirm...the cookies are delicious! Literally got one of every flavor she is offering this month. Whether you're a classic chocolate chip lover or like to mix it up with unique flavors like cinna-berry or cookie butter banana, these cookies are truly next-level. Soft, chewy, and just the right amount of sweetness. can't wait to try more!”
“I have wanted to try this place for years and finally did and was not disappointed at all! Everything was fantastic - food, drinks, service, ambiance. It’s much bigger inside than I expected. Can’t wait to go back and so mad at myself for not trying sooner.”
“we all loved our meals!! I had the Chinatown salad it was amazing!! 😋delicious”

“I had a great Lunch at La Chocita Grill. I ordered the Peruvian-style rotisserie chicken it had a deliciously crispy skin and was incredibly tender inside, with a strong charcoal la brasa flavor that really stood out. The rice was spot on too. My server, Sandra, was friendly and attentive . Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a tasty and satisfying meal! (I usually Take photos for my reviews but the food looked too good! lol)”
“Weird Brothers is my go-to coffee shop. All three locations. I absolutely love their coffee, and I purchase the beans to make at home. The atmosphere is unparalleled. After living in three states and metro areas the last few years, I can easily say that Weird Bros is spectacular and incomparable. And they are active in the community. And the owner likes Pantera. Love this place.”
“We had SUCH a delicious meal here and the service was fantastic. My husband and I tried two different benedicts- everything was fresh and hot as expected, but the bread before hand was a lovely treat, as was the alcohol free sparkling wine- no- not the same as grape juice, lol Eggs were perfectly poached- everything was flavorful and delivered with a smile. The vibe in here is SO positive and the team truly cares about customer service- we will be back! FULL DISCLOSURE- I also work with them on wine dinners, and I wouldn't have made that choice if I couldn't count on the great service and elevated cuisine!”
“Just had the best night at Eagletree with a friend. Jeff and Lori were so kind and generous and made the dining experience so wonderful. The food was amazing but the experience was even better!”

“I was driving back to Philly on Sunday and as I pulled into Brossman’s Family Farm was delighted to spot the Bomburger Food Truck. I had the grilled cheese sandwich, which was amazing. The crispy sourdough bread paired with the cheese blend created such a delicious sandwich. The young guys offer a wonderful menu and extend such warm hospitality; I highly recommend.”

“I love the tea, the staff is great. They have some really good varieties of teas. They always have samples out so you can try the tea. They are pricey but I think that's because of the way that they source things, plus they also use really nice cups and packaging. The furniture in there is beautiful. I think the whole thing is a very nice experience. They also do tastings, which is a good activity for a few people to do together.”

People raved about the Corner Beef and Cabbage and Fish and Chips. The food arrived in a timely fashion and was hot. Kolt the manager could not have been pleasanter or easier to work with. I look forward to future catered events with this restaurant. Cathleen”

“Ordered two veggie slices to go. Huge slices and fast service. OK dining area, not for a date but good for fast lunch. Weird delivery robot that takes items like 10ft to the tables. Lots of parking at least for lunch. Veggie slices were generous and thin crust, liked the ingredients.”
