“Good food and menu selection. Had the short rib special which was good and filling, root vegetables were excellent and lots of mashed potatoes to go along with the dish. Would definitely like to go back next time in I’m in town to try the steaks. Also really enjoyed the beet and goat cheese salad as an appetizer. Gluten free options are available.“
“This is our third time here and our server Mikail along with the manager Misty were AMAZING! They not only made our experience great with the catering to our adults… they made our 4 year old comfortable with cute little accents like colorful bendy straws and strawberries. I believe we have a new brunch spot!“
“Our waitress Alexandria made our night, she was so attentive and caring (we celebrated two birthdays and she took nice pictures of us and gave us candles with our desserts). The food was on point as well, we ordered scallops on risotto and 16oz prime rib, cooked to perfection. :)“
“We had heard great things about this restaurant and decided to celebrate a special occasion there some time ago. We absolutely loved it.The French onion soup was perfect, and the crab bisque was creamy and delicious. Our steak was cooked exactly as we had requested - medium well and juicy inside. We appreciated the classic interior decor, and the service was good. Overall, the experience was unforgettable.Parking: Although it has a free parking lot, it fills up fast, especially on the weekends.“
“They have rebranded the restaurant as "Glenwood's". If you want to compare it to an existing chain, think Copper Canyon, as they are under the same corporate umbrella. This was my first visit here and I wasn't disappointed. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere is on the subdued side, even though most of the window views are of Wootton Parkway. The food was very good. The jumbo lump crab cakes were filling and meaty. I enjoyed their cocktails as well; just the right mixture. Highly recommended!“
“I've only dined here once and really enjoyed the food and service. When I saw their post for First Fridays, I knew this would be perfect time and place for a siblings outing. We ended up sitting in the bar area and just partaking in HH food and drinks versus all the First Fridays specials. Our server/bartender Brian was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. All of the staff were actually very warm and welcoming. My brother was impressed with the wide variety of spirits and commended the ownerJay, on the selections, when he stopped by to greet our table. The chef also came by to greet us and ensure we were enjoying our food.We started off with a round of hibiscus mules, old fashion and cosmopolitan, all part of the signature HH drinks. We dined on wings, truffle fries, fried green tomatoes, shrimp toast, lamb chops and steak rolls. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious, with no complaints from even the pickiest of picky eaters. They are rolling out a new drink that's a spin on a pina colada, so of course my brother wanted to try it. He wasn't a fan, maybe it's the white chocolate shavings on top, not sure, but Brian politely removed it. We ended the night with a round of Makers Mark shots vowing to return another night for dinner.“
“I came here with a reservation to celebrate my birthday and the experience was well worth it. Getting to the restaurant was within walking distance of my hotel and easy to get to. I was greeted and quickly seated. Kim the server was amazing, they have a pianist in the center of the restaurant who is very good.I had a Large crab cake which came with a creamy sauce as an appetizer. The taste of the crab cake was good, but the sauce really made it stand out.I then had their Maine lobster which you have the option to get with, or without Imperial. The lobster is cooked then the inner-side is removed and stuffed with crab cake and shrimp in addition to the lobster then is placed back into the shell. I thought about adding the sauce that came with my appetizer but was concerned it would take away the seafood flavor and make everything too soggy. Im glad I didnt and just added lemons and the butter that already came with it.Whenever I come back to DC this will be my spot and will look forward to trying out their steaks.“
“I went to RARE recently for the first time for a date night. When we walked in, we were greeted and offered to take our coats for us. The 1st floor has the bar and some seating. The restaurant is very classy, dim and romantic. We were seated upstairs and greeted by our waiter. Our waiter was very nice, funny and attentive to our food and drinks preferences. He was patient and checked in on us throughout the night. I ordered the wet-aged NY strip (14 oz) and whipped potatoes which is close to mashed potatoes. The NY strip ( medium cooked) was tender, juicy and seasoned well. I enjoyed the steak, it was delicious. If you want a juicier and more tender steak, you can try the dry-aged bone-in NY strip on the menu. Next the whipped potatoes, I personally think it can add more herbs to add flavor since there's no garlic flavor in the potatoes. It wasn't impressive to me but good enough to still order it. Overall, I had a good experience and good food so I would come back again.“
“My favorite hotel bar. Sophisticated, elegant, yet not pretentious. I'm not a vegetarian but the quinoa burger here is the only place I order a no meat burger. The prime burger is amazing too. Cocktails are fresh. The Sancerre is nice.“
“I haven't been to Outback for a long time, but after the disastrous experience at Bourbon Boulevard, I figured I could get a thicker cut steak. I started with their new Sriracha Chicken Bites. The sriracha wasn't too spicy, and the ranch was tangy. I had the bone in ribeye with bourbon onion. It was cooked medium rare and had a good flavor. The onion on top could have been sautéed a bit longer for more carmelization, but overall, it was a solid steak for less than 1/2 the price of the other steakhouse. I finished with a chocolate thunder dessert. The portion is smaller than it used to be, but calorie wise, it was much lighter. My server, Teresa, was great. She kept my diet coke full and was very attentive.“
“Then drinks are strong, the food is good and the wait staff are wonderful! They have a great Happy Hour menu with a variety of small bites (go for the fish bites, and fried shrimp) and discounted cocktails (cosmos, manhattans, martinis). The upstairs bar is a little more tucked away/private and perfect for getting a group together. Love that this place has been around since 1948 and still thriving!“
“This is by far one of the best Steakhouses in the northern Virginia area. If you want me to be honest I will probably never go to Fogo de Chão again after coming here, I crave this place on the regular. The food is absolutely amazing and their service is great! I come here at least once a month because I crave it so much, I could eat it every day!! By far one of the best restaurants in the Tysons area, thank you guys for being so great and making your food absolutely delicious!“
“I have no words to describe how incredible the experience at “Médium Rare” was. Starting with the fantastic selection of cocktails and wines, followed by an amazing salad and continuing with the most exceptional steak accompanied with an exquisite secret sauce and their incredible French fries. To finish with a very complete selection of desserts of which I want to highlight the “Double Chocolate Fudge Layer Cake” which I assure you will not be able to finish. All this accompanied by the most cordial attention from Angel, the waiter, Ana the bartender and Marina, the manager. In short, a cozy place to share with your partner, family and friends.“
“I took my husband for his birthday. Dinner was delicious, the staff were so gracious and the restaurant was beautiful and extremely clean. We had a quite, romantic dinner away from the crowd. I’m looking forward to making our next reservation.“
“We weren't planning to eat here. Instead, we had a reservation for brunch in DC. However, Metro was really screwed up. Long story short---track work and a disabled train at Pentagon City meant a slow ride that got slower when the train stopped at McLean and had to sit there for several minutes. We realized that we wouldn't make our reservation so my husband called the restaurant to cancel. So...we had to come up with Plan B. We got off at Virginia Square where I looked to see what was open. Right across the street, Medium Rare was open. We decided to give them a try. It was too late for brunch so, we had a very early dinner. Having never been to Medium Rare, I knew next to nothing about their menu. We were greeted and seated by a very nice employee. He took us to a two top and asked if it was okay, which it was. He gave us menus. It was then we noticed that the only item on the menu was a fixed price dinner. If I recall correctly, the meal was $28 per person. It comes with bread and butter, a simple mixed green salad and the main course which is coulotte steak, fries and "secret sauce". That was fine for us. To drink I had a "Lavender 75" which our server said had gin, lavender syrup and champagne in it. It turned out to be a good drink---flavorful and not too strong. My husband had a glass of Malbec. Our server was friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable about the menu. We asked her how she would recommend ordering the steak. She said "medium" which we decided to do. The bread came first. It was sliced and soft in the middle with a nice crust. Salad was next. It had a vinaigrette dressing and in addition to the mixed greens, a few sliced cherry tomatoes. This salad was splendid in its simplicity and we both enjoyed it. The main course arrived shortly after we finished our salads. The fries were piping hot and flavorful. As for the steak and "secret sauce" (which was basically a gravy) --- the gravy had good flavor that complimented the meat and the fries. The coulotte steak isn't the most tender cut around but it was sliced thinly and easy to eat. After we finished our main course, we were talking about getting dessert. No sooner did we discuss it but another server came to our table and put more meat, "secret sauce" and fries on our plate! We hadn't realized that everybody gets seconds! So...we ate the meat and a few fries as we still wanted dessert. For my dessert, I chose the hot fudge sundae with vanilla ice cream, while my husband chose the key lime pie. I hadn't had a hot fudge sundae in years! It was very attractively presented with a huge amount of whipped cream topped with a cherry plus since it was Easter, a "peeps" bunny was added. Thankfully, the fudge and the ice cream portions were normal ones. Some candied pearls added a bit of crunch. I enjoyed every bit of that sundae. My husband's key lime pie also came with a huge amount of whipped cream that also had some candied pearls in it. He said it was one of the best key lime pies he's had. Also, he had a cappuccino which he said was well prepared. As a side note --- they do a brunch on the weekends that has a larger menu. All in all, we enjoyed our meal and were pleased with the service. We both used the bathroom where, instead of piped in music, there are piped in French lessons. They were amusing as they were teaching how to ask someone out on a date :) Would we go again? We both say "yes".“
“Casual no frills Churrasqueria in a strip mall. Attentive quick and very friendly service. Good selection of wines by the glass and smoothies made of fresh fruits. We ordered the special platters: short ribs, steak, Argentine sausages are delicious; the unusual blood pudding, and liver stuffed intestine are tasty if you are feeling adventurous. The chicken and pork chops are marinated well but a bit on the dry side.$84 appears pricy but fed us, two hungry adults and one starving kid with the pork and chicken remaining.“
“The ribeye was cooked to perfection. The broccoli steak, with garlic mash and asparagus was perfect for the vegetarian. The crab cakes were delicious. The crusted sea bass was also delicious. The flourless chocolate cake was sublime. Chris was the server and he was outstanding, very knowledgeable about the menu. We celebrated a birthday and it was a busy holiday but everything was perfect.“
“We always eat here when we’re in town. The food was great, as always! However, the service was subpar to say the least. Not sure of the exact reason, but the service last night was significantly worse than our previous experiences, and definitely not what you’d expect when spending $150+ on dinner.“
“We went to this outback on a whim one night recently. The food was pretty good and the service was the same. My only gripe was that the restaurant wasn't the cleanest, especially in the area around our table. The floor could have used a good vacuuming or sweeping, but we did go an hour before close so I really can't complain.Overall, this is your average outback steakhouse. If you've enjoyed any other locations you'll def like this one.“
“The food was very good. I had the soup if the day. It was a black bean chilli was big pieces of smoked meat and topped with cheese and red onion. Delicious! The collards greens were tender but over seasoned with vinager. I was definitely go back for the chili!“
“The food is quite good, at first when we were served we thought it was not enough but after eating we were full without finishing the plate, the service is exceptional, always attentive and fast. I recommend it.Parking: Parking in front of the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: adapted entrance“
“Aboelaziz was our waiter. Great personality and remember us from a previous visit. He made us feel at home and we brought to his attention about the bill he fixed it quickly and comp us for desert. Good was delicious and had some great take home. Recommend this place.“
“I've been to some steak restaurants but this place is pretty good and with affordable prices. I highly recommend the house margaritas, especially the mango margarita, it is delicious. It also has several types of cuts, including filet mignon and rib eye. The service is average but in general the place and the food are very good.“
“My job organized a small gathering at the Palm this week. It was a great experience from valet parking by a courteous gentleman to great tasting dishes and a lovely environment. Our waitress took care of us right away and did an excellent job.“
“It was a little hard to find after parking in the underground lot but the food was good ( lamb chops, tuna tartare, crab fried rice- the lobster mashed potatoes were a bit much). The service was first class and the view was nice . Cocktails another story ; there's no reason to put orange anything in an espresso martini. There, somebody had to say it . I tried another specialty cocktail. I was again unimpressed. I recommend the food and service. Just order some wine .“
